The agriculture sector still lacks the tools and models to enhance the utilization of different resources. This paper addresses the vineyard harvesting problem in developing countries, with the objective of optimizing the wine quality and minimizing the operational costs. Heuristics were introduced to better assign the harvesting days to the different grape blocks that exist in the vineyard's field. The quality of the grapes was a key target as it can transform production from a pinnacle wine to a bulk one. We solved several numerical examples for verification and demonstrative purposes and found that our proposed approach finds solutions that significantly reduce the harvesting costs in the vineyard and considerably outperform Branch and Bound algorithm especially for large problems.  相似文献

Abstract

Cross-validation of soft computing techniques needs to be done efficiently to avoid overfitting and underfitting. This is more important in petroleum reservoir characterisation applications where the often-limited training and testing data subsets represent Wells with known and unknown target properties, respectively. Existing data stratification strategies have been haphazardly chosen without any experimental basis. In this study, the optimal training–testing stratification proportions have been rigorously investigated using the prediction of porosity and permeability of petroleum reservoirs as an experimental case. The comparative performances of seven traditional and advanced machine learning techniques were considered. The overall results suggested a recommendable optimum training stratification that could serve as a good reference for researchers in similar applications.  相似文献

A rigorous approach for the radiative heat transfer analysis in solar collector glazing is developed. The model allows a more accurate prediction of thermal performance of a solar collector system. The glass material is analysed as a non-gray plane-parallel medium subjected to solar and thermal irradiations in the one-dimensional case using the Radiation Element Method by Ray Emission Model (REM by REM).This method is used to analyse the combined non-gray convective, conductive and radiative heat transfer in glass medium. The boundary surfaces of the glass are specular. The spectral dependence of the relevant radiation properties of glass (i.e. specular reflectivity, refraction angle and absorption coefficient) are taken into consideration. Both collimated and diffuse incident irradiation are applied at the boundary surfaces using the spectral solar model proposed by Bird and Riordan. The optical constants of a commercial ordinary clear glass material have been used. These optical constants (100 values) of real and imaginary parts of the complex refractive index of the glass material cover the range of interest for calculating the solar and thermal radiative heat transfer through the solar collector glass cover. The model allows the calculation of the steady-state heat flux and temperature distribution within the glass layer. The effect of both conduction and radiation in the heat transfer process is examined. It has been shown that the real and imaginary parts of the complex refractive index have a substantial effect on the layer temperature distribution. The computational time for predicting the combined heat transfer in such a system is very long for the non-gray case with 100 values of n and k. Therefore, a simplified non-gray model with 10 values of n and k and two semi-gray models have been proposed for rapid computations. A comparison of the proposed models with the reference non-gray case is presented. The result shows that 10 bandwidths could be used for rapid computation with a very high level of accuracy.  相似文献

Most trust and reputation solutions in wireless mesh networks (WMNs) rely on the intrusion detection system (IDS) Watchdog. Nevertheless, Watchdog does not consider packet loss on wireless links and may generate false positives. Consequently, a node that suffers from packet loss on one of its links may be accused wrongly, by Watchdog, of misbehaving. To deal with this issue, we propose in this paper a novel trust system which considers packet loss of links. Our trust system is based on a statistical detection method (SDM) implemented on each node of the network. Firstly, the SDM, via CUSUM test, analyzes the behavior of the packets loss in order to detect a dropping attack. Secondly, the SDM, through the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, compares the behavior of the total packets loss with that of the control packets in order to identify the attack type. Our system allows every WMN’s node to assign to each of its neighbors, a trust value which reflects its real behavior. We have validated the proposed SDM method via extensive simulations on ns2 and have compared our trust system with an existing solution. The results display that our SDM solution offers better performance.  相似文献

The increased exploitation of microbial sequencing methods has shed light on the high diversity of new microorganisms named Candidate Phyla Radiation (CPR). CPR are mainly detected via 16S rRNA/metabarcoding analyses or metagenomics and are found to be abundant in all environments and present in different human microbiomes. These microbes, characterized by their symbiotic/epiparasitic lifestyle with bacteria, are directly exposed to competition with other microorganisms sharing the same ecological niche. Recently, a rich repertoire of enzymes with antibiotic resistance activity has been found in CPR genomes by using an in silico adapted screening strategy. This reservoir has shown a high prevalence of putative beta-lactamase-encoding genes. We expressed and purified five putative beta-lactamase sequences having the essential domains and functional motifs from class A and class B beta-lactamase. Their enzymatic activities were tested against various beta-lactam substrates using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) and showed some beta-lactamase activity even in the presence of a beta-lactamase inhibitor. In addition, ribonuclease activity was demonstrated against RNA that was not inhibited by sulbactam and EDTA. None of these proteins could degrade single- and double-stranded-DNA. This study is the first to express and test putative CPR beta-lactamase protein sequences in vitro. Our findings highlight that the reduced genomes of CPR members harbor sequences encoding for beta-lactamases known to be multifunction hydrolase enzymes.  相似文献

Wireless mesh networks (WMNs) have emerged recently as a key solution for next-generation wireless networks; they are low cost and easily deployed technology. However, WMNs have to deal with a low bandwidth which prevents them from guaranteeing the requirements of applications with strict constraints. To overcome this limitation, we propose in this paper a new admission control model which integrates a dynamic link scheduling scheme, named ACLS, in order to optimize the network bandwidth use. We formulate the admission control problem as a binary linear programming problem (BL2P). The proposed admission control integrates an algorithm, based on the Dakin’s branch and bound (B&B) method, which respects the bandwidth and delay required by the flows. The proposed ACLS solution has been validated on ns2, and the simulation results showed that ACLS model has better performance than the reference solution BRAWN; it accepts more flows while guaranteeing their delay and bandwidth.  相似文献

Forty patients operated on for fixed subvalvular aortic stenosis underwent cardiac catheterization preoperatively, immediately after coming off cardiopulmonary bypass and at long-term (1 to 14 years later, average 7 +/- 3.9 years). The age range was 3 to 50 years (average 15 +/- 12 years) with 27 (68%) aged under 18 years. Twenty-seven patients were male. The stenosis was the thin membranous type in 29, the fibromuscular collar type in 5, the tunnel type in 5 others and related to supernumerary mitral tissue in the remaining patient. Significant other pathology was associated in 13 cases. In addition to excision of the membrane or the fibromuscular ring, the surgeons performed myotomy in 6 cases, myomectomy in 12 cases, large resection of muscular and fibrous tissue in tunnels, and aortic valve replacement in 3 cases. There was no operative fatality. Permanent cardiac pacing was required in 1 patient for complete atrioventricular block. The peak systolic pressure gradient fell from 87 +/- 32 to 31 +/- 10 mmHg (p < 0.0001) at the immediate control: it remained > 30 and even 50 mmHg in 3 patients (7.5%), 2 of whom had tunnel types and the other the supernumerary mitral tissue. The gradient increased in the long-term to 42 +/- 11 mmHg, 1 patient with a membrane developed a gradient of 40 mmHg and 4 others (10%) developed a gradient > 50 mmHg (3 tunnels and 1 membrane). The 5 patients with tunnel types either had a residual stenosis or restenosis and underwent aorto-ventriculoplasty by Konno's procedure 1 to 8 years later. This operation should be the procedure of first intention, even in small children: the large resection is only acceptable when it cannot be performed or when aortic ring hypoplasia is mild. There is no residual stenosis and restenosis is rare (2.5%) in the membranous and fibromuscular types, probably because of the widespread use of myotomy and myomectomy. In the absence of severe associated malformations, surgery in only justified when peak systolic pressure gradients are > or = 50 mmHg.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Dietary exposure of the Tunisian adult population to pesticide residue was assessed using the Total Diet Study method. In the present study 170 pesticides were searched for in 42 aggregated foods characterised by 64 food samples representing the Tunisian diet. All the food samples were collected, prepared, and analysed for remains of pesticides including organochlorine, organophosphorous, carbamates and pyrethroids. The GC-MS analysis and the LC-MS/MS analysis and some other specific analytical methods were employed for the quantification of the pesticide residues in the food samples. Results revealed that21pesticides reached amounts greater than the LOQ(12.3%) and 149 pesticides reached amounts below the LOD (88%).For the 21 pesticides quantified, the ADI was not exceeded. For the 149 non-quantified pesticides, an interval defined by the lower and upper bounds was defined to assess the dietary exposure of the Tunisian adult population to those pesticides. We conclude that 8 pesticides theoretically exceed the ADI with the 95th percentile of exposure, those are: Diféthialone, Brodifacoum, Bromadiolone, Glufosinate, Heptachlor, Dieldrin Aldrin Oxydemeton-methyl. This study concludes that there is a low dietary exposure to pesticide residue of the Tunisian adult population. In fact, all the cases where the ADI was exceeded were theoretical due to the lower ADI value used.  相似文献

This paper presents the numerical simulation results of the stack effect in medium-rise buildings in Harbin, a typical city in the severe cold region of China. The simulation was carried out using the multizone ventilation model COMIS. The effect of the wind speed velocity and the temperature of the stairwell on the pressure difference curves shape have been investigated. The pressure difference between the stairwell and the outside shows a linear variation with the height. However, the wind speed velocity may have a strong effect on the pressure difference. The results of the simulation show that at high wind speed velocity the curve of the pressure difference is not linear in shape. It has been also shown that the air total change cannot be provided by only infiltration due to leakage particularly for such air-tight residential building in windy cold climate. Therefore, mechanical ventilation is required to compensate for the lack of it. A quantitative evaluation of IAQ based on the total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs) concentration has been done. The effect of the wind speed velocity and the temperature of the stairwell on the VOTCs concentration at each floor have been also presented.  相似文献
