Simulated microgravity (SMG) induced the changes in cell proliferation and cytoskeleton organization, which plays an important factor in various cellular processes. The inhibition in cell cycle progression has been considered to be one of the main causes of proliferation inhibition in cells under SMG, but their mechanisms are still not fully understood. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of SMG on the proliferative ability and cytoskeleton changes of Chang Liver Cells (CCL-13). CCL-13 cells were induced SMG by 3D clinostat for 72 h, while the control group were treated in normal gravity at the same time. The results showed that SMG reduced CCL-13 cell proliferation by an increase in the number of CCL-13 cells in G0/G1 phase. This cell cycle phase arrest of CCL-13 cells was due to a downregulation of cell cycle-related proteins, such as cyclin A1 and A2, cyclin D1, and cyclin-dependent kinase 6 (Cdk6). SMG-exposed CCL-13 cells also exhibited a downregulation of α-tubulin 3 and β-actin which induced the cytoskeleton reorganization. These results suggested that the inhibited proliferation of SMG-exposed CCL-13 cells could be associate with the attenuation of major cell cycle regulators and main cytoskeletal proteins. 相似文献
The static bending behavior of porous functionally graded (PFG) micro-plate under the geometrically nonlinear analysis is studied in this article. A small-scale nonlinear solution is established using the Von-Kármán hypothesis and the modified couple stress theory (MCST). To obtain the deflection of the plate, the Reddy higher-order plate theory coupled with isogeometric analysis (IGA) is utilized. The distribution of porosities is assumed to be even and uneven across the plate’s thickness and the effective material properties of porous functionally graded micro-plate are calculated using the refined rule-of-mixture hypothesis. The influence of power index, porosity parameter and material length scale parameter on the nonlinear behaviors of static bending of porous FGM micro-plates are also investigated using several numerical examples.
We introduce efficient, large scale fluid simulation on GPU hardware using the fluid‐implicit particle (FLIP) method over a sparse hierarchy of grids represented in NVIDIA® GVDB Voxels. Our approach handles tens of millions of particles within a virtually unbounded simulation domain. We describe novel techniques for parallel sparse grid hierarchy construction and fast incremental updates on the GPU for moving particles. In addition, our FLIP technique introduces sparse, work efficient parallel data gathering from particle to voxel, and a matrix‐free GPU‐based conjugate gradient solver optimized for sparse grids. Our results show that our method can achieve up to an order of magnitude faster simulations on the GPU as compared to FLIP simulations running on the CPU. 相似文献
We have investigated normal and resonant Raman scattering in Me-doped ZnO nanorods (Me = Mn, Co, Cu and Ni) prepared by thermal diffusion. Experimental results show that the normal Raman spectra consist of the conventional modes associated with wurtzite ZnO and impurity-related additional modes. Under resonant conditions, only longitudinal optical (LO) phonon scattering and its overtones are observed. The number of LO phonon lines and their relative intensity depend on the doping element and level. For the nanorods doped with Cu and Ni, we have observed LO phonon overtones up to eleventh order. This situation does not happen for the Mn-doped nanorods, which show only five LO phonon modes. By co-doping Mn and Co into the ZnO host lattice, however, the LO phonon overtones up to eleventh order are observed again. The nature of this phenomenon is explained by means of the study of XRD, TEM and photoluminescence. 相似文献
Prefabricated vertical drains (PVDs) with the surcharge preloading and vacuum consolidation has become considerably popular for ground improvement projects. A simple solution that incorporates the fundamental embankment features, such as the average degree of consolidation and excess pore pressure, are essential for the design of soft ground improvements by PVDs with vacuum preloading. However, most of the solutions for vertical drains with vacuum consolidation require numerical simulations, whose implementation tends to be laborious. In contrast, a simple solution for vacuum consolidation under time-dependent loading has not yet been proposed. In this study, a simple solution that can be easily incorporated into a conventional spreadsheet is derived for PVDs with vacuum preloading by applying the Laplace transform technique. The proposed solution accounts for several actual construction conditions, such as initial surcharge load, vacuum pump trial period, variations of radial permeability, and time-dependent loading. The results obtained from this proposed approach were validated with those from the finite element method and field data from the case study of the Cai Mep International Terminal project in southern Vietnam. The derived solutions, including the excess pore pressures and average degrees of consolidation, were in good agreement with the predicted and observed data. 相似文献
