This work demonstrates the efficiency of almond gum polysaccharides (AGPs) as bioactive compounds. AGPs were first extracted using H2O2, in the presence of NaOH, at different times and temperatures. The optimal extraction conditions were 4% H2O2 and 2 N NaOH, for 7 h at 50 °C, leading to an extraction yield of 58.2% (w/w). After a purification step, the retained AGPs were characterised using high‐performance liquid chromatography showing a molecular weight of 99.3 kDa. The monosaccharide composition of AGPs were assessed using gas chromatography–mass spectrometry. AGPs were found to be a complex heteropolysaccharide with a repeating unit mainly composed of galactose, arabinose, xylose, mannose, rhamnose, and glucuronic acid with the respective ratios: 45:26:7:10:1:11. The acidic nature of the polysaccharide is due to the presence of glucuronic acid. Total antioxidant activity, free radical‐scavenging activity and reducing power assay of AGPs were investigated. The obtained results showed high antioxidant activities of AGPs. Furthermore, beyond 60 mg mL?1, AGPs exhibited bacterial growth inhibition for five pathogenic strains: Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus feacalis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Salmonella typhimurium.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a new sufficient condition for absolute stability of Lure system with two additive time-varying delay components. This criterion is expressed as a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), which can be readily tested by using standard numerical software. We use this new criterion to stabilize a class of nonlinear time-delay systems. This paper aims to design a controller to robustly stabilize uncertain nonlinear systems with time‐varying delay and norm bounded uncertainties via Takagi–Sugeno (T‐S) fuzzy model. The stabilization conditions are given in the form of linear matrix inequalities using a single Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional (LKF) combining the introduction of some relaxation matrices and only one tuning parameter. In comparison with the existing techniques in the literature, the proposed approach has two major advantages. The first is the reduction of computational complexity when the number of IF‐THEN rules, r, is big. The second concerns the conservatism reduction. The purpose of the present paper is testing an in‐house efficiency algorithm based on lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) and using it to resolve the obtained coupled nondimensional governing equations to analyze two‐dimensional free convection inside a cold outer cavity subjected to a heated cylindrical diamond array. Steady state or oscillatory results are obtained using the Bhatnagar‐Gross‐Krook collision model associated to the thermal LBM. Both the velocity and temperature fields are solved using the D2Q9 models. With different Rayleigh numbers (Ra), the tested free convection can either achieve to steady state or oscillatory. We extended our in house Fortran 90 code using curved boundary conditions and implemented them into a cavity with a diamond array. The numerical simulations were done using distinct Ra (106 and 10 7) and distances between the four neighboring circular cylinders aligned in a diamond array. The effects of several physical parameters, including Ra and position of the hot body array on flow and heat transfer characteristics are investigated. The obtained results are highlighted in the form of streamlines, isotherms, and velocities plots. We show in this paper the stability and the efficiency of the LBM to deal with a complex geometry and its ability to reach suitable convergence criteria for high Ra (10 6 and 10 7). The numerical results indicate that LBM can simulate numerical problems with a high Ra reaching a steady state where we can depict the change of the flow pattern and enhancement of the heat transfer in the presence of heated diamond array.  相似文献

Electrochemical oxidation of O-Toluidine (OT) was studied by galvanostatic electrolysis using lead dioxide (PbO2) and boron-doped diamond (BDD) as anodes. The influence of operating parameters, such as current density, initial concentration of OT and temperature was investigated. Measurements of chemical oxygen demand were used to follow the oxidation. The experimental data indicated that on PbO2 and BDD anodes, OT oxidation takes place by reaction with electrogenerated hydroxyl radicals and is favoured by low current density and high temperature. Furthermore, BDD anodes offer significant advantages over PbO2 in terms of current efficiency and oxidation rate.  相似文献

The resistance‐in‐series model was used to analyse flux behaviour, which involved the resistances of membrane itself, the fouling and solute concentration polarisation. Response surface methodology was used to establish the relationships between operating parameters and ultrafiltration (UF) efficiency and thus to determine optimal conditions. Experiments were performed according to Box–Behnken design by changing the levels of three parameters, namely transmembrane pressure, feed flow rate and temperature. The fitted mathematical models allowed us to plot isoresponse curves. It was shown that the resistance due to solute concentration polarisation (Rcp) dominated the flux decline (40–74%). The fouling resistance (Rf) varied from 12 to 46%. To optimise simultaneously the three responses studied (Rf, Rcp and permeate limit flux), we applied the desirability function approach which allowed us to determine the best acceptable compromise. The selected UF conditions of the compromise were as follows: three bars, 0.95 L min?1 and 30 °C. Optimal values of Rf, Rcp and permeate limit flux were equal to 18%, 72% and 19 L h?1 m?2, respectively.  相似文献

To develop an MRI method for the evaluation of contrast enhancement in early atherosclerotic plaque development in the abdominal aorta of a mouse model. Male apoE–/– mice from three groups, respectively 4 (n = 6), 8 (n = 11) and 16 (n = 4) weeks were included. Axial T1 spin echo images of the abdominal aorta were obtained above and below the renal arteries (90 m spatial resolution) before and over 1 h after the injection of a macromolecular contrast agent. Signal enhancement was measured in the vessel wall and compared to histological features. Maximal arterial wall signal enhancement was obtained from 16 to 32 min post injection. During this time, the signal-to-noise ratio increased by a factor up to 1.7 in 16 week mice and 2.7 and 2.4 in 8 and 4 weeks mice, respectively. The enhancement of the arterial wall appeared less pronounced in the oldest mice, 16 weeks old, exhibiting more advanced lesions. Using a macromolecular gadolinium agent, contrast uptake in atherogenesis varies with lesion stage and may be related to vessel-wall permeability. Dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI may be useful to evaluate the atherosclerotic plaque activity in mice.  相似文献
