An analytical fractionation scheme has been developed based on water, acetone, chloroform, diethyl ether, ethanol, n-hexane, or methanol extractions to identify free and/or copper bound complexes in spinach samples, sample extracts being analyzed by inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry. The total copper contents were determined after digestion of the samples in a microwave-assisted digestion system. Method validation parameters were defined in terms of the detection limits, accuracy, and precision. The limits of detection and quantification for copper were 0.07 and 0.23 mg kg?1, respectively. The precision in terms of the repeatability and reproducibility, calculated from the relative standard deviations (%RSD), were 3.0 and 4.8 %, respectively. Solvent systems, which simulated gastric and intestinal or gastrointestinal digestion together with n-octanol extraction and activated carbon adsorption, were evaluated with respect to both sample-solvent compatibility and bioavailability.  相似文献

In this work, novel antibacterial composites were prepared by using poly(ε‐caprolactone) (PCL) as the main matrix material, and gentamicin‐loaded microspheres composed of β‐tricalcium phosphate (β‐TCP) and gelatin. The purpose is to use this biodegradable material as a support for bone tissue. This composite system is expected to enhance bone regeneration by the presence of β‐TCP and prevent a possible infection that might occur around the defected bone region by the release of gentamicin. The effects of the ratio of the β‐TCP/gelatin microspheres on the morphological, mechanical, and degradation properties of composite films as well as in vitro antibiotic release and antibacterial activities against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus were investigated. This paper presents the effect of disorder on electronic, magnetic, and optical properties of Co2CrZ (Z = Al, Si, Ga, Ge) Heusler alloy using density functional theory. Binary mixing is the most common form of atomic disorder in these compounds. We have considered three types of disorders: DO 3, A2, and B2 disorder which corresponds to X-Y, X-Z, and Y-Z mixing, respectively. After structural optimization, we found that A2 disorder has high formation energy and is most unlikely to occur. The half-metallic nature of the alloy is destroyed in the presence of DO 3 and A2 disorder. The destruction of half-metallicity is due to reconstruction of energy states. B2 disorder retains the half-metallic nature of the alloy but spin-polarization value is reduced slightly as compared to the ordered alloy. In addition, the optical properties such as dielectric function, refractive index, absorption spectra, optical conductivity, reflectivity, and energy loss function of these alloys have also been investigated.  相似文献

The effects of recipe compositions in terms of leavening agent (ammonium and sodium bicarbonates) and sugars (sucrose and glucose), and baking conditions (temperature and time) on HMF formation in cookies were studied. Five recipes were prepared by varying the types of leavening agent and sugar. The cookies were baked at different temperatures (180, 200, 210 and 220 °C) for different time (10, 15, 20 and 25 min) to monitor physical and chemical changes in cookie composition in terms of water activity, pH, surface browning, sugar decomposition, and hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) formation. Decreasing moisture to a level under a water activity of 0.4 appeared as the critical point in baking where the rate of HMF formation drastically increased after this point. After this stage, sucrose decomposed very rapidly if ammonium bicarbonate was used as the leavening agent at temperatures greater than 200 °C. Replacing ammonium bicarbonate with sodium bicarbonate maintained pH of cookies ranging between 9.0 and 10.0 during baking, which limited the decomposition of sucrose.  相似文献

Grafting of chlorosulfuric acid on the amino-functionalized Fe3O4 nanoparticles produced sulfamic acid-functionalized magnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles as a novel organic–inorganic hybrid material, which was characterized with X-ray diffractometry (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, scanning electron spectroscopy, and magnetization measurements (VSM). The as-prepared nanocomposite with a narrow size distribution has the crystallite size from XRD (11 ± 4 nm) and particle size from TEM analysis (12.9 ± 0.4 nm) are consistent with each other. Magnetization measurements proved the superparamagnetic property of the product.  相似文献

Removal of fluoride from aqueous solution by electrodialysis was studied. Applied voltage, feed flow rate, fluoride concentration in the solution and effect of the other anions as sulfate, chloride were investigated as experimental parameters on fluoride removal from aqueous solution. The separation performance was evaluated in terms of mass transfer and energy consumption. It was obtained that the separation performance increased when the initial concentration of fluoride in the feed solution increased. Percent removal of fluoride increased as the applied potential increased. However, the effect of feed flow rate was not apparent in the range of applied feed flow rate. Separation of fluoride was influenced by chloride but not by sulfate ions.  相似文献

This paper proposes embedding an artificial neural network into a wireless sensor network in fully parallel and distributed computation mode. The goal is to equip the wireless sensor network with computational intelligence and adaptation capability for enhanced autonomous operation. The applicability and utility of the proposed concept is demonstrated through a case study whereby a Hopfield neural network configured as a static optimizer for the weakly-connected dominating set problem is embedded into a wireless sensor network to enable it to adapt its network infrastructure to potential changes on-the-fly and following deployment in the field. Minimum weakly-connected dominating set defined for the graph model of the wireless sensor network topology is employed to represent the network infrastructure and can be recomputed each time the sensor network topology changes. A simulation study using the TOSSIM emulator for TinyOS-Mica sensor network platform was performed for mote counts of up to 1000. Time complexity, message complexity and solution quality measures were assessed and evaluated for the case study. Simulation results indicated that the wireless sensor network embedded with Hopfield neural network as a static optimizer performed competitively with other local or distributed algorithms for the weakly connected dominating set problem to establish its feasibility.  相似文献
