Results from a study of indirect wafer bonding and epitaxial transfer of GaSb-based materials are presented. Benzocyclobutene (BCB) was used as a bonding agent to bond GaSb and epitaxial structures lattice matched to GaSb onto Si, GaAs, and sapphire carrier substrates. To better understand sources of stress during the bonding process, which can result in cracking and subsurface damage of the GaSb-based materials, BCB’s hardness and reduced elastic modulus were measured at various stages during the curing process. Based on the results of curing experiments, a bonding and epitaxial transfer process for GaSb-based materials was then developed. Following bonding, using an experimentally determined low-stress cure cycle, GaSb substrates were removed from epitaxial layers of InAsSb using a combination of mechanical thinning and polishing followed by selective chemical etching using a hydrofluoric and chromic acid solution. Etch selectivity data are also presented where selectivity greater than 100:1 is achieved for GaSb:InAsSb.  相似文献

ZrO2 prepared by the precipitation method of zirconium oxychloride with various hydrolyzing agents was studied for photocatalytic water splitting reaction under UV light irradiation. The crystal structure as well surface properties were varied with the hydrolyzing agent of KOH, NH4OH, and NH2CONH2. Especially, the surface area of the prepared ZrO2 calcined at the same temperature of 750 °C for 6 h was dependent highly on the hydrolyzing agent, and thus the highest photocatalytic activity was obtained for ZrO2 with the highest surface area when KOH was used as a hydrolyzing agent, In the presence of Na2CO3, the photocatalytic activity of ZrO2 increased by 2–3 fold, which was ascribed to the physically adsorbed carbonate species on the ZrO2 surface. Herein, we report effective, C-type lectin mannose receptor (MR)-selective, in vivo dendritic cell (DC)-targeting lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) of a novel lipid-containing mannose-mimicking di-shikimoyl- and guanidine head group and two n-hexadecyl hydrophobic tails (DSG). Subcutaneous administration of LNPs of the DSG/p-CMV-GFP complex showed a significant expression of green fluorescence protein in the CD11c+ DCs of the neighboring lymph nodes compared to the control LNPs of the BBG/p-CMV-GFP complex. Mannose receptor-facilitated in vivo DC-targeted vaccination (s.c.) with the electrostatic complex of LNPs of DSG/pCMV-MART1 stimulated long-lasting (270 days post B16F10 tumor challenge) antimelanoma immunity under prophylactic conditions. Remarkably, under therapeutic settings, vaccination (s.c.) with LNPs of the DSG/pCMV-MART1 complex significantly delayed melanoma growth and improved the survival of mice with melanoma. These findings demonstrate that this nonviral delivery system offers a resilient and potential approach to deliver DNA vaccines encoding tumor antigens to DCs in vivo with high efficacy.  相似文献

The antimicrobial properties of dextrose-encapsulated gold nanoparticles (dGNPs) with average diameters of 25, 60, and 120 nm (± 5) and synthesized by green chemistry principles were investigated against both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. Studies were performed involving the effect of dGNPs on the growth, morphology, and ultrastructural properties of bacteria. dGNPs were found to have significant dose-dependent antibacterial activity which was also proportional to their size. Experiments revealed the dGNPs to be bacteriostatic as well as bactericidal. The dGNPs exhibited their bactericidal action by disrupting the bacterial cell membrane which leads to the leakage of cytoplasmic content. The overall outcome of this study suggests that green-synthesized dGNPs hold promise as a potent antibacterial agent against a wide range of disease-causing bacteria by preventing and controlling possible infections or diseases.  相似文献

The foremost objective of the current article is to explore the impact of Brownian motion on magnetohydrodynamic Casson nanofluid flow toward a stretching sheet in the attendance of nonlinear thermal radiation. The combined heat and mass transfer characteristics are investigated. The influence of chemical reaction, nonuniform heat source/sink, Soret, and Dufour is deemed. The convective boundary condition is taken. The appropriate transformations are utilized to transform the flow regulating partial differential equations into dimensionless ordinary differential equations (coupled). The numerical outcomes of the converted nonlinear system are solved by the Runge-Kutta based Shooting procedure. Results indicate that the temperature is an increasing function of both thermophoresis and Brownian motion parameters. The concentration of the fluid and the corresponding boundary layer thickness reduces with an enhancement in Lewis number.  相似文献

The purpose of this study is to explore the viscous dissipation stimulus on the steady convective magnetohydrodynamic shear thickening liquid stream across a vertically stretched sheet. The impact of thermic heat, first-order velocity slip, and variable heat generation/absorption are considered and also ignored the effect of magnetic Reynold's number. We converted flow controlling equations into the set of dimensionless nonlinear ordinary differential equations by employing similarity variables to solve these coupled equations by R–K and shooting technique. The effect of different dimensionless variables on velocity, heat, friction factor, and local Nusselt numbers are presented through graphs and tables. Depreciation in velocity and growth in temperature distribution is detected when the Casson fluid parameter is increased. Temperature is the increasing function of the Eckert number.  相似文献

Expired ethane is regarded as an indicator of reactive oxygen species induced lipid peroxidation. We investigated whether Wistar rats of different body weights (BW: 78 +/- 6, 121 +/- 12 and 347 +/- 30 g) and hence different metabolic rates per unit weight, expire different amounts of ethane. We found that expired ethane (pmol/100 g BW/min) decreases with increasing BW (8.6 +/- 1.8, 6.3 +/- 1.5 and 2.8 +/- 0.6, respectively). These values aas well as a recently published average value of 1.0 pmol ethane/100 g BW/min for healthy humans (average BW: 78 kg) indicate a positive relationship between lipid peroxidation and metabolic rate.  相似文献

The effect of substitution of Zr for Ti in KLaTiO4 with a layered perovskite structure has been studied on the photocatalytic decomposition of water under the UV light irradiation. Both the optical property and the crystallinity of KLaTiO4 were varied by the substitution of Zr for Ti. As Zr content was increased, the crystallinity of KLaZrxTi1-xO4 was increased, which had a positive effect on the photocatalytic activity in the water splitting reaction. However, the direct band gap property was lost gradually with increase of Zr content, which resulted in lowering the photocatalytic activity. As a result, the highest activity was obtained for KLaZr0.3Ti0.7O4. Although the absorption coefficients of photons for KLaZr0.1Ti0.9O4 and KLaTiO4 were higher than those for KLaZr0.3Ti0.7O4, the crystal structure was disordered, which resulted in lowering the activity. The nickel-loaded catalysts showed a higher activity than unloaded perovskites by a factor of greater than 2.  相似文献

A series of aminostilbene—arylpropenones were designed and synthesized by Michael addition and were investigated for their cytotoxic activity against various human cancer cell lines. Some of the investigated compounds exhibited significant antiproliferative activity against a panel of 60 human cancer cell lines of the US National Cancer Institute, with 50 % growth inhibition (GI50) values in the range from <0.01 to 19.9 μM . One of the compounds showed a broad spectrum of antiproliferative efficacy on most of the cell lines, with a GI50 value of <0.01 μM . All of the synthesized compounds displayed cytotoxicity against A549 (non‐small‐cell lung cancer), HeLa (cervical carcinoma), MCF‐7 (breast cancer), and HCT116 (colon carcinoma) with 50 % inhibitory concentration (IC50) values ranging from 0.011 to 8.56 μM . A cell cycle assay revealed that these compounds arrested the G2/M phase of the cell cycle. Two compounds exhibited strong inhibitory effects on tubulin assembly with IC50 values of 0.71 and 0.79 μM . Moreover, dot‐blot analysis of cyclin B1 demonstrated that some of the congeners strongly induced cyclin B1 protein levels. Molecular docking studies indicated that these compounds occupy the colchicine binding site of tubulin.  相似文献

The unsteady magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) stagnation point flow of micropolar fluid across a vertical stretching surface with second‐order velocity slip is the main concern of the present paper. The influence of electrical energy, temperature‐dependent thermal conductivity, thermal radiation, Joule heating, and heat sink/source is investigated. The basic partial differential equations are changed into ordinary differential equations with the help of appropriate similarity variables and then solved by the fourth‐order Runge‐Kutta–based shooting technique. The impact of physical parameters on the velocity, microrotation, and temperature as well as friction factor, couple stress, and local Nusselt number is thoroughly explained with the support of graphs and tables. The results divulge that the heat source/sink and thermal radiation parameters have a propensity to enhance the fluid temperature. The distribution of velocity is an increasing function of an electric field and unsteadiness parameter. The numerical results are also compared with the results available in the literature.  相似文献
