An α‐l ‐rhamnosidase secreted by Penicillium citrinum MTCC‐8897 has been purified to homogeneity from the culture filtrate of the fungal strain using ammonium sulphate precipitation and cation‐exchange chromatography on carboxymethyl cellulose. The sodium dodecyl sulphate/polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis analysis of the purified enzyme gave a single protein band corresponding to the molecular mass 51.0 kDa. The native polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis also gave a single protein band confirming the enzyme purity. The Km and Vmax values of the enzyme for p‐nitrophenyl α‐l ‐rhamnopyranoside were 0.36 mm and 22.54 μmole min?1 mg?1, respectively, and kcat value was 17.1 s?1 giving kcat/Km value of 4.75 × 104 m ?1 s?1. The pH and temperature optima of the enzyme were 7.0 and 60 °C, respectively. The purified enzyme liberated l ‐rhamnose from naringin, rutin, hesperidin and wine, indicating that it has biotechnological application potential for the preparation of l ‐rhamnose and other pharmaceutically important compounds from natural glycosides containing terminal α‐l ‐rhamnose and also in the enhancement of wine aroma.  相似文献

The laser induced etching of semi-insulating GaAs 〈100〉 is carried out to create porous structure under super- and sub-bandgap photon illumination (h v). The etching mechanism is different for these separate illuminations where defect states play the key role in making distinction between these two processes. Separate models are proposed for both the cases to explain the etching efficiency. It is observed that under sub-bandgap photon illumination the etching process starts vigorously through the mediation of intermediate defect states. The defect states initiate the pits formation and subsequently pore propagation occurs due to asymmetric electric field in the pore. Formation of GaAs nanostructures is observed using scanning electron (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM).  相似文献

This paper describes a new Built-In-Self-Test(BIST) scheme for estimation of static non-linearity errors in segmented and binary weighted digital to analog converters (DACs). The BIST scheme comprises of a hierarchy of tests including tests for non-monotonicity, checks to detect if the DNL/INL errors exceed ±0.5 LSB and actual estimation of the DNL/INL. The BIST scheme has been experimentally verified on 10-bit segmented current steering DAC. The DAC, along with the additional circuits required for testing, was designed and fabricated using a 0.35 m process. Both simulation and experimental results are included in this paper. Errors estimated using the BIST scheme match well with measurements done on the fabricated device.  相似文献

The protective potential of protective devices such as respirators, suits, gloves, and overboots is widely evaluated using the standard colorimetric test (spot disc breakthrough time test, also called SD BTT) involving sulfur mustard (SM) as the challenge chemical. The vesicant nature of SM makes the test inconvenient and poses stringent safety demands. Moreover, such tests are allowed only at a limited number of facilities, causing delay in product development and supply. This prompted the present study on the search for suitable SM simulant responsive to SD BTT test. The diffusivities at BTT (DBTT) of 10 commercially available thiocompounds through butyl rubber (IIR) were compared vis‐a‐vis DBTT of SM. For three representative thiocompounds, namely methyl (phenyl thio)acetate, 2‐chloroethyl phenyl sulfide (2‐CEPS) and phenyl‐n‐propyl sulfide (PNPS), the transport parameters through IIR were obtained. PNPS and 2‐CEPS were further compared with respect to DBTT in elastomers such as IIR, ethylene–propylene–diene methylene rubber, polydimethylsiloxane, nitrile rubber, polybutadiene, and natural rubber. 2‐CEPS showed generally same order of DBTT as SM implying its potential use as a simulant. In the current study, we use Galerkin finite‐element simulation to analyze the concept of triple diffusive flow with magnetic field effect toward a power law stretching sheet. The fluid comprises dissolved solutal particles and nanoparticles in the base fluid. The three important mechanisms that are responsible for rise in phenomenon of convective transportation are diffusophoresis, thermophoresis along with Brownian motion have been considered. Recently, the proposed nanoparticles' mass flux and heat flux boundary conditions have been imposed. Nanoparticle mass transportation, solutal mass transportation with heat transportation for prominent physical parameters, such as stretching parameter, magnetic influence parameter, thermophoresis parameter, and Brownian motion parameter are calculated. To further verify and understand the strength of the relationship between heat transportation rate and controlling parameters, the multiple regression process is used. The finite difference approach was adopted to numerically solve the nonlinear governing equations and the linked boundary conditions. In the present study, we used MATLAB software for finding the final outcomes and relating the concluding results for ? θ δ ( 0 ) with extant outcomes in the literature as a limiting case in the absence of the magnetic intensity parameter and an excellent agreement was noted. It was observed that the magnetic field has a positive effect on heat and mass transfer. This study also helps in understanding and thus controlling the velocity of the flow along with solutal depositions, which has a significant engineering application in the process of extrusion. The findings of the present study help to control the rate of heat and mass transfer, aiding manufacturing companies in obtaining the desired quality of product.  相似文献

In this study, unsteady boundary layer flow with Casson nanofluid within the sight of chemical reaction toward a stretching sheet has been analyzed mathematically. The fundamental motivation behind the present examination is to research the influence of different fluid parameters, in particular, Casson fluid β(0.2β0.4), thermophoresis Nt(0.5Nt1.5), magnetohydrodynamic M(3.0M5.0), Brownian movement Nb(0.5Nb2.0), Prandtl numberty, unsteadiness parameter A(0.10A0.25), chemical reaction parameter γ(0.1γ0.8), and Schmidt number Sc(1.0Sc3.0) on nanoparticle concentration, temperature, and velocity distribution. The shooting procedure has been adopted to solve transformed equations with the assistance of Runge–Kutta Fehlberg technique. The impact of different controlling fluid parameters on flow, heat, and mass transportation are depicted in tabular form and are shown graphically. Additionally, values of skin friction coefficient, Nusselt number, and Sherwood number are depicted via tables. Present consequences of the investigation for Nusselt number are related with existing results in writing by taking Nb=0 and Nt=0 where results are finding by utilization of MATLAB programming. Findings of current research help in controlling the rate of heat and mass aspects to make the desired quality of final product aiding manufacturing companies and industrial areas.  相似文献

Abstract. A method for gravimetric determination of tannins based on binding with insoluble polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) is presented. The gravimetric method gives the absolute amount of tannins and avoids problems of standards associated with spectrophotometric methods. The method was applied to nine browse and tree leaves. The values obtained correlate significantly with tannins determined spectrophotometrically, protein precipitation capacities and protein precipitable phenotics. This method together with other tannin assays will be useful in nutritional studies. The present study also demonstrates the different behaviour of tannic acids from different commercial sources towards PVP suggesting the presence of different moieties in tannic acids from different commercial sources and even among batches from the same source thereby affecting the results obtained using the spectrophotometric methods. Use of well-defined tannic acid as a standard in spectrophotometric methods is suggested which will allow meaningful comparison of values obtained from different laboratories.  相似文献

In this paper a compact low profile elliptical fractal patch antenna for high gain and multiband is presented which resembles Lorentz fractal shape. By introducing fractal on ellipse patch multiband applications are achieved. With the help of CST Microwave Studio Suite TM the proposed structure has been designed and analyzed. The simulated results are confirmed experimentally. The suggested antenna has a dimension of 40?×?55 mm2 (L?×?W) and resonant frequencies obtained are 1.7, 3.2, 3.9, 5.9, 7.8, 8.6, 9.7, 11.4 and 12.6 GHz with VSWR?≤?2. The aerial is assembled on FR-4 (εr?=?4.4) substrate with thickness of substrate 1.6 mm. This antenna holds applications in many satellite communication transmissions, some Wi-Fi devices, cordless telephones, and weather radar systems.  相似文献
