Trace elements in particles of motor vehicle exhaust in Shanghai

A nuclear microprobe with high spatial resolution and high analytical sensitivity was applied to analyze trace elements,especially lead,in vehicle exhaust of Shanghai city.The result shows that the chemical composition and its corresponding x-ray relative intensity are different among different vehicle exhausts.There are many kinds of metal elements in particles of vehicle exhaust.most are harmful to people,such as Ti,Cr,Mn,Pb,etc.We found that the lead concentration was 6820μg/g and the bromine concentration was 5300μg/g in the exhaust from Santana using leaded gasoline(SULG).which is higher than any other kinds of vehicle exhausts.We have also detected the minimum lead in the particles of unleaded gasoline and its content varies from one to another.Its mean concentration was 450μg/g and the highest reached 6210μg/g.The unleaded gasoline‘s Pb existed in the whole particle while the leaded gasoline‘s enriched in the surface of the particle and was more harmful to the human beings.

Continuous Separation of Inclusions from Aluminum Melt Flowing in a Circular Pipe using a High Frequency Magnetic Field

The continuous separation of inclusions from aluminum melt flowing in a circular pipe using a high frequency magneticfield was investigated both theoretically and experimentally The separation efficiency was calculated based on thetrajectory method and compared with experimental results. It is found that the separation efficiency is a functilnondimensional parameters t_i·d_p~2B_e~2/μ_fμ_eα~2 and α/δ.The effective way to improve the separation efficiency is to increasethe effective magnetic flux density and decrease the pipe radius. and the value of α/δ should be kept about 2 in orderto obtain the optimum separation efficiency.

Giant Monopole Resonance and Symmetry Energy

Nuclear matter incompressibility is discussed by the framework of a fully consistent relativistic random phase monopole compression modes in nuclei in the approximation, based on effective Lagrangians with a mixed isoscalar-isovector nonlinear coupling term. A predicted value of the matter incompressibility coefficient is given by comparison between experimental and calculated energies of the isoscalar giant monopole resonance （ISGMR） in nuclei ^208Pb, ^144Sm, ^116Sn and ^90Zr.

以笃斯越桔原果汁作红、紫色果汁代表,比较了测定红、紫色果汁中还原糖含量的两种方法——直接滴定法和改良索木吉法。研究结果证实,改良索木吉法较直接滴定法的滴定终点易于分辨,测定数据重复性强,滴定值的平均偏差小。
