This paper presents a mathematical model to determine transitional as well as steady state probabilities of various system states in a conveyor-paced assembly line system with the line-conveyor subject to failure and repair. The analysis helps to predict the effect of system parameters on labour efficiency, output rate, and system down time. The on-line service time distribution has been taken as general for wider applicability. An optimization problem for a business concern is then formulated taking into account all the relevant economic implications, and solved for a numercial example by STJMT. The profit function is seen to be a concave function with the cost structure as presented here. The results of the numerical example give convincing evidence that, when the problem is seen in totality, neither worker utilization nor output remain the criteria for optimization.  相似文献

The major allergens in fish‐food are parvalbumins (PVs). Muscle PVs of four fish species of genus Channa: Channa gachua, Channa punctatus, Channa striatus and Channa marulius were purified, characterized and used to differentiate (heated) fish specimens. Two to three proteins have been detected as PV‐isoforms by immunological probing through Western blotting. They were purified to homogeneity on diethyl amino ethyl‐cellulose. Modified systems of nondenaturing and denaturing polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis were used to resolve low molecular weight proteins, distinctly. Isoelectric points (pIs) were determined on native isoelectric focusing gels, which lie in the pI range of 4.55–5.10. The electrophoretic profiles remained species‐specific even after heating the PVs for 3 h at 90C and would be of immense help in discerning cooked fish specimens. Further, the addition of 5 mM β‐mercaptoethanol in the PVs has showed protection against heat denaturation of the protein and resulted in more compatible protein patterns. This study also demonstrates the relevance of the thermostable capacity of PVs in the differentiation of heat‐processed fish through electrophoretic analysis of heated PVs. Also, they represent a promising and simple biochemical tool in discerning closely related species.  相似文献

A transmit/receive (T/R) switch is an essential module of every modern time division duplex (TDD) transceiver circuit. A T/R switch with high power handling capacity in CMOS process is difficult to design due to capacitive coupling of radio frequency signals to the substrate. This paper proposes a single-pole-double-throw (SPDT) T/R switch designed in a standard Silterra 130 nm CMOS process for high-power applications like RFID readers. The results reveal that, in 2.4 GHz ISM band, the proposed switch exhibits a very high input P1dB of 39 dBm with insertion loss of only 0.34 dB and isolation of 40 dB in transmit mode but 1.08 dB insertion loss and 30 dB isolation in receive mode. Stacked thick-oxide triple-well transistors, resistive body floating and negative control voltages are used to achieve such lucrative performance. Moreover, the chip size of the designed switch is only 0.034 mm2 as bulky inductors and capacitors are avoided. The Monte-Carlo and corner analyses confirm that the performance of the switch is also quite stable and reliable.  相似文献

The art of cricket bowling is complex and arduous owing to the run-up and ball release time energy requirement to achieve speed and variations. Therefore, human bowlers cannot bowl for extended periods and numerous mechanical bowling machines have been built to help batsmen improve their skills during practice sessions. However, most of these existing machines are designed for spherical balls ignoring the distinguishing physical feature of a cricket ball: the raised equatorial seam, which makes it less of a sphere. The bowlers are known to often benefit from this seam in their pursuit to taking the batsmen's wicket by imparting swing, spin and bounce variations along-with other bowling variables. This lack of the seam consideration creates a void between human and mechanical bowling. In this work, we present design and development of an automatic bowling machine termed as ROBOWLER to make mechanical bowling more realistic. This machine ensures ball seam position as well as fulfills other constraints. Ball pitching and seam position accuracy results underscore the suitability of this design to enhance the capabilities of mechanical bowling.  相似文献
