The conversion of waste plastic into high-value-added chemicals is regarded as a promising approach for relieving global plastic pollution and contributing to the circular economy. Herein, a partial calcination strategy is developed to fabricate a zinc oxide/UiO66-NH2 (ZnO/UiO66-NH2) heterojunction, in which ZnO is encapsulated in porous UiO66-NH2 for the photocatalytic valorization of plastic. This strategy preserves the framework structure of UiO66-NH2, thus enabling the formation of ZnO with ultra-small size distributed inside the skeleton. The synergistic effect of the obtained ZnO/UiO66-NH2 heterojunction facilitates providing an efficient channel for carrier/mass transfer and guarantees structural stability. As a result, ZnO/UiO66-NH2 exhibits high activity for converting polylactic acid (PLA) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) into acetic acid, coupled with H2 production. This work provides a feasible strategy for rationally designing heterojunction photocatalysts, as well as an insight into understanding the process of photocatalytic valorization of plastic.  相似文献

The super sweet corns Krispy king, Victor and 324 (sh2 hybrids) were evaluated to determine their adaptabilities to the industrial canning process as whole kernels. All these hybrids and Bonanza (control) were sown in San Joaquín (Carabobo, Venezuela), harvested and canned. After 110 days storage at room temperature they were analyzed to be compared physically, chemically and sensorially with Bonanza hybrid. Results did not show significant differences among most of the physical characteristics, except for percentage of broken kernels which was higher in 324 hybrid. Chemical parameters showed significant differences (P < 0.05) comparing each super sweet hybrid with Bonanza. The super sweet hybrids presented a higher sugar content and soluble solid of the brine than Bonanza, also a lower pH. The super sweet whole kernel presented a lower soluble solids content than Bonanza but they were not significant (Krispy king and 324). Appearance, odor and overall quality were the same for super sweet hybrids and Bonanza (su). Color, flavor and sweetness were better for 324 than all the other hybrids. Super sweet hybrids presented a very good adaptation to the canning process, having as an advantage that doesn't require sugar addition in the brine and a very good texture (firm and crispy).  相似文献

With the purpose of evaluating adaptability to the freezing process of super sweet corn sh2 hybrids Krispy King, Victor and 324, 100 cobs of each type were frozen at -18 degrees C. After 120 days of storage, their chemical, microbiological and sensorial characteristics were compared with a sweet corn su. Industrial quality of the process of freezing and length and number of rows in cobs were also determined. Results revealed yields above 60% in frozen corns. Length and number of rows in cobs were acceptable. Most of the chemical characteristics of super sweet hybrids were not different from the sweet corn assayed at the 5% significance level. Moisture content and soluble solids of hybrid Victor, as well as total sugars of hybrid 324 were statistically different. All sh2 corns had higher pH values. During freezing, soluble solids concentration, sugars and acids decreased whereas pH increased. Frozen cobs exhibited acceptable microbiological rank, with low activities of mesophiles and total coliforms, absence of psychrophiles and fecal coliforms, and an appreciable amount of molds. In conclusion, sh2 hybrids adapted with no problems to the freezing process, they had lower contents of soluble solids and higher contents of total sugars, which almost doubled the amount of su corn; flavor, texture, sweetness and appearance of kernels were also better. Hybrid Victor was preferred by the evaluating panel and had an outstanding performance due to its yield and sensorial characteristics.  相似文献

Abstract: Xoconostle cv. Cuaresmeño (Opuntia matudae) has attracted domestic and international industry attention; however, variations of composition from xoconostle structures have not been evaluated. Industries discard the pulp (endocarp) and peel (pericarp) as wastes and utilize the skin (mesocarp), which is the edible portion. The physicochemical, nutritional, and functional characterization of structures from xoconostle pear from 3 major sites of production in Mexico were assessed. Skin yield ranged from 58% to 64% and was higher to that of peel (22% to 24%) and pulp (12% to 18%) yields. pH, °Brix, and acidity were similar among xoconostle structures. Total fiber showed by peel (18.23% to 20.37%) was 2-fold higher than that of skin. Protein and ether extract were higher in xoconostle pulp compared to that showed by peel and skin. Iron content of xoconostle peel (6 to 9.6 mg/100 g, DWB) was higher to that of skin and pulp and prickly pear pulp. Soluble phenols of peel (840 to 863 mg GAE/100 g, DWB) were almost similar to that of skin (919 to 986 mg GAE/100 g, dry weigh basis); meanwhile, ascorbic acid concentration of skin was 2-fold higher compared to that of peel. The phenolic fraction of xoconostle structures consisted of gallic, vanillic, and 4-hydroxybenzoic acids; catechin, epicatechin, and vanillin were also identified by high-performance liquid chromatography–didoe array detection (HPLC-DAD). Xoconostle peel showed higher antioxidant activity (TEAC) compared to that of skin (2-fold) and pulp (6-fold) of commonly consumed fruits and vegetables. The potential of xoconostle peel and pulp for the production of feed or food is promissory. Practical Application: Outstanding nutritional and functional properties of xoconostle cv. Cuaresmeño fruits are demonstrated. Increased consumption could contribute positively to improve the diet of rural and urban consumers. The high fiber, mineral, and antioxidant components of xoconostle peel and pulp suggest that these fruit structures, which are currently discarded as waste, have promissory use as feed or food by industry.  相似文献

The sliding-wear resistance of pure near fully-dense B4C is investigated, and the wear mode/mechanisms identified, under lubrication with water, diesel fuel, and paraffin oil. It is found that the wear is mild in the three cases, with specific wear rates (SWRs) of 10?16–10?17 m3/N m. Nonetheless, the wear resistance of the B4C ceramic is one order of magnitude greater under oil lubrication (1016 N m/m3) than under water lubrication (1015 N m/m3), and twice as great for the specific case of paraffin oil than diesel fuel, attributable to the lubricant’s viscosity. It is also found that the wear mode is always abrasion, and that the wear mechanisms are plastic deformation and localized fracture with grain pullout. However, in agreement with the macro-wear data, the severity of the wear damage is lower under lubrication with paraffin oil, followed by diesel fuel, and lastly water. Finally, microstructural considerations are discussed with a view to enhancing the sliding-wear resistance of B4C triboceramics.  相似文献

This study aimed to determine the phytochemical profile and nutraceutical properties of nopal cladodes (Opuntia ficus-indica) at different stages of maturity. Medium-age cladodes showed the highest total saponins, phytosterols, and indigestible fiber, as well as the highest in vitro antioxidant capacity and digestive enzymes inhibitory activity. Furthermore, these cladodes presented the highest content of p-hydroxybenzoic acid, p-coumaric acid, rutin, narcissin, nicotiflorin, β-sitosterol, and sitosteryl-3-β-glucopyranoside, as well as several amino acids, organic acids, and fatty acids. Whereas young cladodes contained the highest concentration of condensed and hydrolyzable tannins. These results demonstrated that maturity affects the nutritional and nutraceutical properties of nopal cladodes.  相似文献

The aqueous colloidal processing of SiC with Y3Al5O12 liquid-phase sintering additives was investigated for two different additive systems, one the mixture of Y2O3 and Al2O3 in a 3:5 molar ratio and the other directly Y3Al5O12. The investigation involved the study of the colloidal stability of the different components, and the comparison of the rheological behaviour of concentrated suspensions of SiC, SiC + 3Y2O3:5Al2O3, and SiC + Y3Al5O12 as a function of the sonication condition, dispersant content, and solid loading. This allowed appropriate conditions for the preparation of well-dispersed, single-phase, and multi-component concentrated suspensions of SiC to be identified. It was found that the multi-component suspensions have better rheological behaviour than the single-phase ones, and that in terms of rheology and slip casting the Y3Al5O12 additives are more functional than the conventional 3Y2O3 + 5Al2O3 additives. It was also demonstrated that the Y3Al5O12 additive is as effective as the 3Y2O3 + 5Al2O3 additive in densifying SiC via liquid-phase sintering, with there existing no differences either in the microstructure or in room-temperature mechanical properties (hardness, toughness, and fracture mode). Implications of interest for the wet-shaping of complex SiC parts are discussed.  相似文献

Aqueous colloidal processing was used for the environmentally friendly preparation of well-dispersed concentrated suspensions and powder mixtures of submicrometric SiC powders with submicrometric Y3Al5O12 as sintering additive plus diamond nanoparticles as reinforcing phase. It is shown that the addition of nano-diamond markedly increases the viscosity and thixotropy of the SiC + Y3Al5O12 suspensions, and also that, by adjusting the pH, deflocculant content, and sonication time it is possible to co-disperse these three rheologically different ceramic phases (i.e., non-oxide, oxide, and hydrophobic compounds) in aqueous media, thereby avoiding the otherwise irremediable severe hetero-aggregation. Moreover, the microstructural characterization of the powder mixtures obtained by freeze-drying the suspensions confirmed the homogeneous dispersion of the diamond nanoparticles among the submicrometric SiC and Y3Al5O12 particles in the form of isolated or adhered nanoclusters and nanodeposits. Implications for engineering the microstructure of non-oxide ceramics with diamond nanodispersoids are discussed.  相似文献

Cactus pear fruit (Opuntia) are harvested from various species of the genus Opuntia of the cactus family (Cactaceae), and are produced and consumed in several countries. We have characterized the nutritional content and antioxidant capacity (AC) of the fruit of ten cultivars/lines of distinct pulp colors. ‘Camuesa’ had the highest betalains, total carotenoids, ß-carotene, ascorbic acid, and was one of the highest in total phenolic compounds, but its AC did not demonstrate outstanding differences with some other cultivars/lines that were not as rich in these compounds. ‘Roja Pelota’ had high AC when measured with the DPPH assay, but had low total carotenoids, ß-carotene and total phenolic content. ‘Reyna’ had slightly low AC as measured by the FRAP assay, practically no betalains, and low vitamin C, tocopherols, ß-carotene, and total phenolic content.  相似文献

A route based on aqueous colloidal processing followed by liquid-phase assisted spark-plasma-sintering (SPS) is described for fabricating eco-friendly nanocomposites of SiC with nano-carbonaceous phases (nanotubes, nanoplatelets, or nanoparticles). To this end, the conditions optimizing the aqueous colloidal co-dispersion of SiC nanoparticles, Y3Al5O12 nanoparticles (acting as sintering additives), and carbon nanotubes (CNTs), graphene oxide (GO) nanoplatelets, or carbon black (CB) nanoparticles were first identified. Next, homogeneous powder mixtures were prepared by freeze-drying, and densified by liquid-phase assisted SPS, thus obtaining nanocomposites of SiC with CNTs, reduced GO (rGO) nanoplatelets, or pyrolized?+?graphitized CB (p?+?gCB) nanoparticles. It is also shown that these nanocomposites are dense and have a high hardness of ~20?GPa regardless of the nano-carbonaceous phase chosen, but are markedly tougher with CNTs and rGO (i.e., with high aspect ratio nano-carbonaceous phases). Finally, arguments are provided for the appropriate choice of nano-carbonaceous phases for engineering ceramic nanocomposites.  相似文献
