Summary Copolymers containing -S-CO-S-and/or -O-CO-S-groups have been synthesized mainly by interfacial polycondensation.Different chemical structures were obtained by reacting 1,3-benzene dithiol (BDT) respectively with phosgene alone, phosgene and bisphenol-A (BPA), bischloroformate of BPA, BPA polycarbonate oligomers and by reacting phosgene with the products of BPA polycarbonate degraded with BDT. The chemical structures of the copolymers were investigated by IR, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR; molecular weights were determined by viscometry and vapor pressure osmometry. Although no attempt was made to find the optimum conditions for high molecular weight, some copolymers with fairly high mol. weight were obtained.  相似文献

The thermodynamic properties of polymer solutions are frequently described in terms of the Flory-Huggins equation. This equation includes a parameter χ, which depends upon the intermolecular forces acting between the molecules in a solution. The experimental determination of χ was performed by an improved microtechnique and extended to a wide range of polar and nonpolar diluents of polyethylene. Careful correlations are prescribed for calculating χ from pure-component properties; they are based on an extension of the Hildebrand-Scatchard theory of solutions and on the theory of intermolecular forces. Polar (τ) and nonpolar (δ) solubility parameters are presented for a variety of solvents. For polyethylene—nonpolar solvent systems we have emphasized the factor deciding the sign of heat of mixing, while for polyethylene-polar solvent systems we have determined the contribution of dipole-induced dipole interactions ψ (δτ) in interchange-energy density B and, hence, χ.  相似文献

In the context of comparative analysis of protein–protein interaction graphs, we use a graph-based formalism to detect the preservation of a given protein complex (pattern graph) in the protein–protein interaction graph (target graph) of another species with respect to (w.r.t.) orthologous proteins. We give an efficient exponential-time randomized algorithm in case the occurrence of the pattern graph in the target graph is required to be exact. For approximate occurrences, we prove a tight inapproximability result and give four approximation algorithms that deal with bounded degree graphs, small ortholog numbers, linear forests and very simple yet hard instances, respectively.  相似文献

A spectroradiometer was developed for use on the ground and aboard ship. The instrument separates global and diffuse solar radiation with a rotating shading band. Calibration results are compared with those of other sun photometers. The instrument was also mounted on a stabilized platform during an experimental trial aboard ship on the Tyrrhenian Sea. Results are comparable with those obtained by handheld sun photometer.  相似文献

A method is proposed to be used as the first step in the ontology acquisition process. This method is based on the use of concept maps as a means of expression for the expert, followed by an application that assists the expert in detailing the structure of the knowledge represented in the map. This application analyses the concept map, taking into account the map topology and key words used by the expert. From this analysis a series of questions are presented to the expert that, when answered, reduce the map ambiguity and identify some common patterns in ontological representations, such as generalizations and mereologic relations. This information can be used by the knowledge engineer during further knowledge acquisition sessions or to direct the expert to a further improvement of the map. The method was tested by a group of volunteers, most of them engineers working at the aerospace sector, and the results suggest that both the use of concept mapping as well as the refining step are acceptable from the point of view of the end user, supporting the claim that this method is viable as an option to reduce some of the difficulties in large scale ontology construction.  相似文献

Four possible geometries for the flow passage are considered with the aim to improve the efficienc of the system by maintaining a constant temperature of the absorber plate.

Image reproduction devices, such as displays or printers, can reproduce only a limited set of colors, denoted the color gamut. The gamut depends on both theoretical and technical limitations. Reproduction device gamuts are significantly different from acquisition device gamuts. These facts raise the problem of reproducing similar color images across different devices. This is well known as the gamut mapping problem. Gamut mapping algorithms have been developed mainly using colorimetric pixel-wise principles, without considering the spatial properties of the image. The recently proposed multilevel gamut mapping approach takes spatial properties into account and has been demonstrated to outperform spatially invariant approaches. However, they have some important drawbacks. To analyze these drawbacks, we build a common framework that encompasses at least two important previous multilevel gamut mapping algorithms. Then, when the causes of the drawbacks are understood, we solve the typical problem of possible hue shifts. Next, we design appropriate operators and functions to strongly reduce both haloing and possible undesired over compression. We use challenging synthetic images, as well as real photographs, to practically show that the improvements give the expected results.  相似文献

This work reports the study concerning the influence of the preparation conditions on the structure of silicon rich oxide (SRO) deposited by PECVD method by which the structural properties of the film are strictly related. In particular we investigated the role of reactant gases N2O and SiH4 on the total Si concentration, Si excess concentration, Si clustered concentration and size of nanoclusters formed by high annealing temperature. We payed particular attention on the role of the hydrogen and nitrogen during the Si agglomeration.The presence of hydrogen atoms on the as-deposited specimen, confirmed by the Si–H bonds peak on the FTIR analysis, has been directly correlated to the silicon excess concentration in the layer. The silicon, oxygen and nitrogen atomic density has been calculated from RBS analysis. These information were coupled to the ones obtained using methodology based on electron energy loss spectroscopy combined with energy filtered images, which allowed us to quantify the clustered silicon concentration in annealed sub-stoichiometric silicon oxide layers (SiOx). We have verified that the nitrogen dissolved in the layer inhibits the Si excess clustering so that the efficiency of silicon agglomeration process decreases as the nitrogen content increases.  相似文献
