A new procedure for the calculation of contact stresses and hot-rolling forces for wide strips 0.8–1.5 mm thick has been developed and tested. This procedure takes into account the presence of a stick zone in the deformation zone and stress distributions in both elastic and plastic regions in the deformation zone. The average error in the force calculation according to the new procedure is 5%, which is more than two times smaller than the calculation error of well-known force calculation procedures. The developed procedure is used to simulate the contact stresses in the deformation zones of working stands in a six-stand 1700 mill during rolling of strips thinner than 1.0 mm. A number of new relations for the state of stress in a strip have been revealed upon simulation. Some of these relations are as follows: in the last stands, the length of elastic regions accounts for 10–17% of the total deformation-zone length; the maximum normal contact stresses are 1300–1400 MPa, which corresponds to the stresses in the deformation zones of cold-rolling mills; the stick-zone length accounts for 85–99% of the deformation-zone length; and the contact stresses in the stick zone are virtually independent of the friction coefficient. The developed calculation procedure can be used to optimize the technological regimes of wide-strip mills.  相似文献

A new mathematical model is developed for the state of stress in the deformation zone for plate rolling, including rolling under controlled conditions at a low temperature in the last passes. The stick zone during plate rolling is shown to account for 88–99% of the deformation zone, and the fraction of elastic regions in the deformation zone in the last passes at low temperatures can reach 12%. When the stick zone and elastic regions of the deformation zone are taken into account, the roll-force calculation error is less than 5–6.5%. The model developed can be used to optimize plate-rolling conditions, including the conditions of integrated deformation-thermal production.  相似文献

Cyclic urea SD146, a potent HIV protease inhibitor bearing a flat resistance profile, possessed poor solubility and bioavailability, which precluded further development of the compound. In an effort to improve upon the pharmacokinetic profile of the compound, several analogs modified at the P1/P1' residues were prepared and evaluated. Numerical experiments are used to plan the development of diamond-based microwave FETs with an output power of 2.5 W per 1 mm of the gate width at a frequency of 15 GHz. A family of the I–V characteristics of the Schottky-barrier FET with gate length L G = 50 nm and width W = 1 mm is calculated. Bases on analogy with a TGF2023-20 GaN HEMT, the topology of the high-power diamond transistor (parallel cells with gate widths W = 1.2 mm and 24 elementary gates per cell) is constructed.  相似文献

Abstract

Context: Aerosol delivery to animals in preclinical settings has historically been very challenging, requiring the use of techniques, such as intratracheal instillation and dry powder insufflation, that are somewhat invasive, inefficient and not representative of clinical inhalation.

Objective: The objective of this work is to develop a system to deliver dry powder to dogs in an efficient and effective manner for the study of new anti-migraine compounds in development.

Materials and methods: The new device uses a metered aliquot of a dry gas to force dry powder drug from a pre-filled HPMC capsule into an AeroChamber® spacer for subsequent inhalation by the animal.

Results: The delivery of two invesigational migraine drugs via the new device was assessed in vitro using abbreviated Andersen cascade impaction and showed the device is capable of generating a reproducible delivered dose of up to ~68% with more than 50% of the dose in the respirable range. In vivo studies have also been performed showing that this device effectively delivered the migraine drugs to spontaneously breathing dogs using a proprietary validated dog inhalation model.

Discussion: Results confirmed that the air pressurized capsule device (APCD) was effective in delivering the APIs to lungs of the animals. The in vivo data verified the advantages of inhaled delivery over oral delivery for this class of drugs and were used to establish the cardiopulmonary and respiratory side effect liability profile for these compounds.

Conclusions: This work has demonstrated the utility of this device for quick and accurate screening of prospective drug candidates, representing a significant improvement in ease of use and reprodicibility over current delivery methods.  相似文献

This study examined the relations between hassles and internalizing and externalizing symptoms across 4 years in adolescents who varied with regard to their risk for psychopathology. The sample comprised 240 adolescents assessed in 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grades regarding their level of peer and academic hassles and internalizing and externalizing symptoms. Structural equation modeling was used to construct latent variables of hassles and internalizing and externalizing syndromes. Results varied by informant about the teens' symptoms. For adolescent report, the stress exposure model fit the data best for internalizing syndromes; that is, higher levels of stressors predicted significantly higher levels of self-reported symptoms 1 year later. For mother report of adolescents' symptoms, the stress generation model fit the data best for both internalizing and externalizing syndromes; that is, higher levels of adolescents' internalizing and externalizing symptoms, as reported by their mothers, significantly predicted higher levels of hassles 1 year later.
