We describe the design and operation of a critically phase-matched femtosecond optical parametric oscillator based on KTA. By employing a small pump-signal noncollinear angle, tuning of the idler to beyond 4 μm is achieved using a Ti:sapphire pump laser. A Gaussian-beam model is described which can be used to identify the optimal noncollinear phase-matching geometry. Idler and signal pulses are characterized fully both temporally and spectrally and interferometric autocorrelation data at 3.5 μm showing idler pulses of only eight optical cycles duration are presented  相似文献

Manufacturing a low-resistive Ohmic metal contact on p-type InP crystals for various applications is a challenge because of the Fermi-level pinning via surface defects and the diffusion of p-type doping atoms in InP. Development of wet-chemistry treatments and nanoscale control of p-doping for InP surfaces is crucial for decreasing the device resistivity losses and durability problems. Herein, a proper combination of HCl-based solution immersion, which directly provides an unusual wet chemical-induced InP(100)c(2 × 2) atomic structure, and low-temperature Mg-surface doping of the cleaned InP before Ni-film deposition is demonstrated to decrease the contact resistivity of Ni/p-InP by the factor of 10 approximately as compared to the lowest reference value without Mg. Deposition of the Mg intermediate layer on p-InP and postheating of Mg/p-InP at 350 °C, both performed in ultrahigh-vacuum (UHV) chamber, lead to intermixing of Mg and InP elements according to X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Introducing a small oxygen gas background (O2 ≈ 10−6 mbar) in UHV chamber during the postheating of Mg/p-InP enhances the indium outdiffusion and provides the lowest contact resistivity. Quantum mechanical simulations indicate that the presence of InP native oxide or/and metal indium alloy at the interface increases In diffusion.  相似文献

Mechanical damping (tan ) and stress relaxation on pine veneer samples under stepwise humidity changes were investigated. The loss factor shows a transient peak every time the relative humidity (RH) of the surrounding atmosphere is changed. The effect appears to be associated with the diffusion of water molecules into or out of the material, the peaks being observed both when the sample is humidified (5%–85% RH) or subjected to drying. The results are supplemented by stress relaxation data obtained on similar specimens. Also in this case a higher relaxation rate is observed when the RH level around the sample is changed, the total stress decrease after several cycles being significantly larger than the corresponding value observed after the same period at the higher RH level.  相似文献

Separation of particles from liquid in the large gravitational tanks is widely used in mining and industrial wastewater treatment process. Thickener is key unit in the operational processes of hydrometallurgy and is used to separate solid from liquid. In this study, population balance models were combined with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for modeling the tailing thickener. Parameters such as feed flow rate, flocculant dosage, inlet solid percent and feedwell were investigated. CFD was used to simulate the industrial tailing thickener with settled bed of 120 m diameter which is located in the Sarcheshmeh copper mine. Important factor of drag force that defines the rake torque of rotating paddles on the bed was also determined. Two phases turbulence model of Eulerian/Eulerian in accordance with turbulence model of k-ε was used in the steady-state. Also population balance model consists of 15 groups of particle sizes with Luo and Lehr kernel was used for aggregation/breakage kernel. The simulation results showed good agreement with the operational data.  相似文献

In this study, an ion imprinted polymer (IIP), tin (IV)–4-(2-pyridylazo) resorcinol (PAR) complex (Sn(IV)–PAR–IIP) has been synthesized for speciation and selective solid-phase extraction (SPE) of tin species from food and water samples. For this purpose, copolymerization of Sn(IV)–4-(2-pyridylazo) resorcinol (PAR) complex was performed using methacrylic acid (MAA), ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA), and 2,2′-Azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) as functional monomer, cross-linking agent, and initiator, respectively. The polymer particles were characterized by FT-IR, and thermogravimetric (TG) analyses. The effects of different variables such as solution pH, mass of the polymer, extraction and elution time, and type and volume of the eluent for elution of tin were evaluated by Box–Behnken design and response surface methodology. The significance of independent variables and their interactions were tested by the analysis of variance (ANOVA) with 95% confidence limits. The optimal conditions at extraction step were 8, 70 mg, and 25 min for solution pH, amount of polymer, and extraction time, respectively. Also, the optimal values for the elution step were 6.5 mL of HCl (4 M) as the eluent volume and type and elution time of 120 min. The detection limit of the proposed method was found to be 1.3 μg L?1 and a linear dynamic range (LDR) in the range of 5–200 μg L?1 was obtained. The influence of various cationic interferences on recovery percentage of Sn(IV) was studied. The method was applied to recovery and determination of tin species in different real samples.  相似文献

This paper presents a generalised optimal linear quadratic analog tracker (LQAT) with universal applications for the continuous-time (CT) systems. This includes: (1) a generalised optimal LQAT design for the system with the pre-specified trajectories of the output and the control input and additionally with both the input-to-output direct-feedthrough term and known/estimated system disturbances or extra input/output signals; (2) a new optimal filter-shaped proportional plus integral state-feedback LQAT design for non-square non-minimum phase CT systems to achieve a minimum phase-like tracking performance; (3) a new approach for computing the control zeros of the given non-square CT system; and (4) a one-learning-epoch input-constrained iterative learning LQAT design for the repetitive CT system.  相似文献

Automatic recognition of the communication signals plays an important role for various applications. Most of the existing techniques require high levels of signal to noise ratio (SNR). In this paper, we propose a high efficient technique for classification of the digital modulations that requires a low level of SNRs. This technique includes two main modules: feature extraction module and the classifier module. In the feature extraction module we use the auto-regressive modeling together other useful features. These features are a combination set of the entropy and energy of the signal, variance of the coefficients wavelet packet transform, fourth order of moment and zero-crossing rate. In the classifier module we have used the two structures of the neural networks: multi-layer perceptron (MLP) neural network and radial basis neural networks. Simulation results show the proposed technique has very high recognition accuracy for identification of the considered digital modulations even at very low SNRs.  相似文献

We study the transient dynamics of CW intracavity, singly-resonant optical parametric oscillators (ICSROs). Relaxation oscillations of the 1064-nm pump light are measured, in both the presence and absence of parametric conversion, in a periodically poled LiNbO3 (PPLN) CW ICSRO pumped intracavity to a Nd:YVO4 laser. The presence of parametric conversion is shown to significantly increase both the damping times and oscillation frequencies of the dynamics; at three times the parametric oscillator threshold, these take values of 200 μs and 2 MHz, respectively. Oscillation frequencies are shown to be in good agreement with theoretical values. The influence of energy diffusion and thermal lensing are analyzed to account for discrepences between measured and theoretical damping times. We discuss the implications of the dynamic behavior to the stable-power operation of CW ICSROs  相似文献

A pulsed singly resonant optical parametric oscillator (OPO) has been constructed which can provide tunable coherent radiation over the entire wavelength range extending from 354 nm in the near ultraviolet, throughout the visible, to 2.370 μm in the near infrared using a single β-BaB2O4 crystal. The oscillator is pumped at 308 nm by a pulsed narrow band injection-seeded XeCl excimer laser in a near-field pumping configuration, and energy conversion efficiencies (optical-to-optical) in excess of 10% have been obtained in a 12-nm-long crystal across the OPO tuning range. The requirements placed upon the spectral and spatial coherence of the pump laser for optimum OPO operation are discussed. Experimental results on several oscillator parameters, including tuning range, oscillation threshold, energy conversion efficiency, and spatial and temporal characteristics, are presented  相似文献

The influence of scattering and two-photon absorption on the optical loss in GaAs-Al/sub 2/O/sub 3/ semiconductor nonlinear waveguides has been studied using femtosecond pulses. By deploying a scattering technique, loss coefficients were evaluated over an extended wavelength range of 1.3-2.1 /spl mu/m in the near-infrared. A systematic study involving intensity and wavelength dependence of the loss revealed the presence of two-photon absorption for wavelengths below 1.6 /spl mu/m. A simple nonlinear transmission study enabled the separation of the two-photon absorption coefficient from scattering and linear absorption. The calculated two-photon absorption coefficients were /spl sim/9-20 cm/GW.  相似文献
