The effects of an elevated temperature and a 5 wt% silicon addition on the resultant microstructure and inherent phases of Stellite 6 were investigated by using room and high temperature optical microscopy, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and also bulk hardness and microhardness measurements. It has been observed that exposing Stellite 6 to heat treatments at 1000°C results in a characteristic textured structure and coarsening of interdendritic regions due to bulk diffusion. In addition, both dendritic and interdendritic hardness values increase due to texture formation and increased amounts of carbide and intermetallic phases, respectively. On the other hand, silicon addition to Stellite 6 causes the transformation of the original spongy dendritic microstructure in as-cast Stellite 6 to a eutectic dendritic and skeleton interdendritic structure. Also, when silicon added Stellite 6 was heat treated at 1000°C, particulates emanating from the interdendritic skeleton become irregularly dispersed in the dendritic region. In addition, similarly to Stellite 6; a high temperature heat treatment results in an increase in hardness values of silicon added Stellite 6 due to the presence of an Co2 Si intermetallic phase.  相似文献

Trans FA (TFA), solid fat contents (SFC), and slip melting points of 12 different tub and stick margarines marketed in Turkey were examined in this study. No trans isomers were found in four margarines, which suggests they were formulated from interesterified or blended fats and oils. The products with no TFA generally had more short-chain saturated FA, which suggests coconut oil-based oil components. TFA content of the other 10 products varied from 7.7 to 37.8%. Compared to the products formulated in North America, Turkish margarines contain more TFA and have higher SFC.  相似文献

In the present study, the sliding wear resistances of ZrN and (Zr, 12 wt% Hf)N coatings deposited on a hardened AISI D2 tool steel by arc-physical vapor deposition (PVD) technique were examined by a ball-on-disc wear tester. Alloying of ZrN coating with 12 wt% Hf did not change the hardness significantly, but achieved an improvement on adhesion strength and dry sliding wear resistance against steel (AISI 52100-55HRC) and Al2O3 balls.  相似文献

Universal adhesives have been recently introduced for use as self‐etch or etch‐and‐rinse adhesives depending on the dental substrate and clinical condition. However, their bonding effectiveness to laser‐irradiated enamel is still not well‐known. Thus, the aim of this study was to compare the shear bond strength (SBS) of universal adhesives (Single Bond Universal; Nova Compo‐B Plus) applied to Er,Cr:YSGG laser‐irradiated enamel with SBS of the same adhesives applied in self‐etch and acid‐etching modes, respectively. Crown segments of sixty bovine incisors were embedded into standardized acrylic blocks. Flattened enamel surfaces were prepared. Specimens were divided into six groups according to universal adhesives and application modes randomly (n = 10), as follows: Single Bond Universal/acid‐etching mode; Nova Compo‐B Plus/acid‐etching mode; Single Bond Universal/self‐etching mode; Nova Compo‐B Plus/self‐etching mode; and Single Bond Universal/Er,Cr:YSGG Laser‐etching mode; Nova Compo‐B Plus/Er,Cr:YSGG Laser‐etching mode. After surface treatments, universal adhesives were applied onto surfaces. SBS was determined after storage in water for 24 h using a universal testing machine with a crosshead speed of 0.5 mm min?1. Failure modes were evaluated using a stereomicroscope. Data was analyzed using two‐way of analyses of variances (ANOVA) (p = 0.05). Two‐way ANOVA revealed that adhesive had no effect on SBS (p = 0.88), but application mode significantly influenced SBS (p = 0.00). Acid‐etching significantly increased SBS, whereas there are no significant differences between self‐etch mode and laser‐etching for both adhesives. The bond strength of universal adhesives may depend on application mode. Acid etching may significantly increase bond strength, while laser etching may provide similar bond strength when compared to self‐etch mode.  相似文献

Electrochromic emissivity modulator for spacecraft thermal management   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
A novel electrochromic device (ECD) working in mid- to long-wave infrared (IR) region is presented, comprising of a solid-state monolithic thin film system for adjusting heat rejection/receiving levels on attached surfaces. The system is an electrically controllable active emissivity modulator. EclipseVED™, variable-emissivity ECD, is designed for satellite and spacecraft thermal control, using an active ECD system for long-wave infrared (LWIR) modulation and a passive cold mirror for solar rejection. Emissivity modulation of the system is 0.8 for 7–12 μm region while average solar rejection is 80% in the vis–NIR region. Device properties and initial space test results are also presented.  相似文献

Polycrystalline aluminum was cyclically deformed under strain control at room temperature in the as-extruded form and different annealed conditions after forging. The dislocation substructure developed on saturation was examined by transmission electron microscopy. An inverse relationship was found between the saturation stress and dislocation cell size. Comparison of these results with those for aluminum, copper, and iron obtained under both monotonie and cyclic conditions at various temperatures indicated that the same form of equation with a different constant was characteristic of each of the three wavy slip mode metals. The relationship appears to be dependent upon the stacking fault energy of the particular material and independent of the type of deformation(i.e., monotonie or cyclic).  相似文献
