The current scanning near-field optical microscopy has been developed with optical-fiber probes obtained by use of either laser-heated pulling or chemical etching. For high-resolution near-field imaging, the detected signal is rapidly attenuated as the aperture size of the probe decreases. It is thus important to fabricate probes optimized for both spot size and optical transmission. We present a two-step fabrication that allowed us to achieve an improved performance of the optical-fiber probes. Initially, a CO(2) laser-heated pulling was used to produce a parabolic transitional taper ending with a top thin filament. Then, a rapid chemical etching with 50% buffered hydrofluoric acid was used to remove the thin filament and to result in a final conical tip on the top of the parabolic transitional taper. Systematically, we obtained optical-fiber nanoprobes with the apex size as small as 10 nm and the final cone angle varying from 15 degrees to 80 degrees . It was found that the optical transmission efficiency increases rapidly as the taper angle increases from 15 degrees to 50 degrees , but a further increase in the taper angle gives rise to important broadening of the spot size. Finally, the fabricated nanoprobes were used in photon-scanning tunneling microscopy, which allowed observation of etched double lines and grating structures with periods as small as 200 nm.  相似文献

We propose a simple calculation of near-field magneto-optical (MO) images based on the beam propagation method. We calculate both Faraday rotation and circular dichroism contrasts of planar magnetic structures such as as-grown thin films and ion-irradiated samples. High-contrast near-field MO images are obtained, in good agreement with our experimental observations.  相似文献

In the present study, betalains content, phenolic composition, and antioxidant activity of different parts of red beet (Beta vulgaris L. conditiva) (i.e., roots and stems) were compared. Crude extract of root showed the highest betalain content with a maximum of 53 ± 4 mg betanin eq and 46 ± 3 mg vulgaxantin I eq g?1 of extract stems showed higher total phenolic concentration than roots, ranging between 2.0 ± 0.4 and 14.6 ± 0.5 mg gallic acid eq?1 of extract. Chemical composition was analyzed using LC-MS. Betalains (vulgaxanthin I, betanin, and isobetanin) and phenolics (gallic acid, ferulic acid, chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, vanillic acid, syringic acid, ellagic acid myricetin, quercetin, rutin, kampferol) were identified in roots and stems. Betalain extract obtained from roots showed higher antioxidant activity than extract obtained from stems.  相似文献

NiTi was investigated as a model system for a binary alloy where the properties strongly depend on the relative proportion of the two elements and on the grain size. The NiTi nanoparticles were generated by laser ablation in water. For the analysis of the particle size distribution, we used transmission electron microscopy and dynamic light scattering. Here, we found a broad particle size distribution (10-200 nm). Furthermore, the temperature-resolved x-ray powder diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) were used to evaluate the phase transition behavior of the generated NiTi nanoparticles. Here, we found an interesting effect. During the heating by DSC, an austenite phase transition and a weak martensite phase transition in the NiTi nanoparticles appeared. Moreover, the phase transformation temperature was about 40 K lower than that of the bulk target.  相似文献

This work focuses on the application of the high frequency DC–DC converters used in electric vehicles. Two converters are necessary. The first converter is interposed between the fuel cell and the DC–AC inverter. It is unidirectional. The second one is used as interface between the ultra-capacitor and the DC–AC inverter. It allows the bidirectional of the power transfer. Each converter is composed of two full bridges, LC resonant filter and two planar transformers. The use of high frequency transformer allows to minimize the size and weight of the converter, produce a higher voltage in secondary side from input voltage (fuel cell or super-capacitor) and isolate the full bridges. The control strategy of the converters is the phase shift. The converters have been designed, realised and controlled by an FPGA board. To demonstrate the converters feasibility, two converters are implemented and tested. The switching frequency of two converters is 20 kHz. The first converter has a 24-V input and 200 V/1.2 kW output. But, the second converter has a 12.5-V input and 100 V/400 W output.  相似文献
