BEHAVIOUR OF FLUORINE IN BLAST-FURNACE SMELTING Ⅱ.SMELTING PAO-TOU IRON ORE IN AN EXPERIMENTAL BLAST-FURNACE

为了研究包头铁矿的冶炼特性及由于矿石含氟所引起的一系列问题起见,我所于1955年11月筹建了有效容积约为1米~3的实验高炉一座及全部附属设备。1955年11月30日至12月8日及12月20日至12月24日进行了二次试炉。经过设备上的改进后,于1956年1月20日至2月11日及4月23日至5月29日进行了二次冶炼试验,获得设计上所要求的的主要数据后停炉。在实验高炉冶炼试验期间并进行了4次物质平衡的试验。结果发现绝大部分的氟进入炉渣中,进入炉尘中的氟石多,而高炉煤气中的氟极低.     

Singular perturbation analysis of high-frequency filter design

The control design of systems with lightly damped high frequency oscillatory modes is treated. Systems exhibiting these lightly damped modes include turbine generators and large flexible structures. Frequently the dynamics of these high-frequency modes are not known very accurately. As a result, the design objective is to improve the slow dynamics without destabilizing the high-frequency modes. From a classical frequency domain design viewpoint, this is in part a filtering problem requiring some kind of high-frequency filter. The singular perturbation method is used to systematically develop a two-time-scale method to design these high-frequency filters and provides guidelines on the kind of high-frequency filter to be used. In addition, the method provides an asymptotic error analysis. The design is illustrated with an example representative of a power system model with a two-mass turbine-generator model.     

印刷带状偶极子天线与经典三维柱状偶极子天线的等效理论研究

相对于传统的柱状偶极子,印制偶极子天线更适合应用于现代通讯系统.本文通过引入边缘场效应,对传统的基于感应电动势法的柱状电偶极子辐射阻抗公式进行修正,并在此基础上将其推广至印制偶极子天线中.此外,本文还采用合成渐进法,基于物理概念,推导出平面偶极子天线的谐振频率及谐振频率处辐射电阻的两个计算机辅助计算公式.数值计算及验证表明,两个公式的精度均在2%以内,可以用于指导工程设计.

DEGRADATION OF ACTIN BY CATHEPSINS IN BEEF FIBERS STORED AT 20C

The degradation of actin throughout 48 h of postmortem storage of muscle fibers at 4 and 20C was studied by means of SDS-gel electrophoresis and immunoblotting using a commercial monoclonal antibody. Electrophoretic patterns showed an enhanced proteolysis of meat held at 20C, as revealed by the increased number and intensity of degradation peptides in the region of 30 kDa, as well as by the appearance of a new peptide of a molecular weight between those of actin and troponin T. Western blotting of actin demonstrated its degradation at 20C, while not at 4C; at least a peptide originating from actin was evident at the former temperature. When fibers were incubated at 20C in the presence of cathepsin inhibitors E-64 and pepstatin, which do not inhibit calpains, the immunoblots showed no degradation of actin. This clearly demonstrated that cathepsins are effectively involved in actin degradation in fibers stored at 20C.

A dynamic job-assignment policy

Job assignment is a well-known problem in manufacturing lines. Line management tries to maximize line productivity by assigning a given crew a set of predefined line jobs. However, problems may arise because of abnormal conditions such as absenteeism, workstation failure, parts shortage, or unevenly distributed work-in-process. This report considers a dynamic job-assignment policy making use of online information for assignment. This policy attempts to achieve a good skill match between jobs and operators, and to eliminate unnecessary assignments. To fulfill this policy, a two-part assignment program is proposed: an algorithm for job matching and a set of ad hoc rules. The matching algorithm is well established in literature, but the ad hoc rules are application-dependent. Discussion here concentrates on the ad hoc rules and online data collection.     

A Simple Method for Following Postmortem ATP Depletion in Lamb Muscle

Relationship between adenosine 5′-triphosphate (ATP) concentration and R-value, defined as the absorption ratio of the degradation derivatives inosine 5′-monophosphate (IMP), inosine and hypoxanthine (E₂₅₀) to adenosine nucleotides (E₂₆₀), was studied in postmortem lamb Longissimus dorsi, until onset of rigor mortis, at different temperatures of muscle storage and lamb carcass weight. Results showed a high overall correlation coefficient (r =?0.960), nondependent of storage temperature or carcass weight. Thus, lamb postmortem ATP concentrations can be indirectly calculated through a simple, rapid, economic and reliable method such as R-value measurements.
