Dental implants are composed of commercially pure Ti (which is actually an alloy of titanium, and minor or trace components such as aluminium and vanadium). When the implant is inserted, its surface undergoes a number of chemical and mechanical processes, releasing particles of titanium to the medium. The metabolism of free ions of titanium is uncertain; the uptaking processes in the body are not well known, nor their toxic dose. In addition, physical properties of newly formed bone, such as diffusivity and activation energy, are scarce and rarely studied. In this study, we analysed the diffusion of titanium in the titanium‐implanted shinbones of six adult male Wistar rats by spatially resolved micro x‐ray fluorescence. The measurements were carried out at the microfluorescence station of the x‐ray fluorescence (XRF) beamline of the Brazilian synchrotron facility LNLS (from Portuguese ‘Laboratorio Nacional de Luz Sincrotron’). For each sample, XRF spectra were taken by linear scanning in area near the new bone formed around the Ti implant. The scanning line shows a clear effect of titanium diffusion whereas calcium intensity presents a different behaviour. Moreover, a clear correlation among the different structures of bones is observed in the Ti and Ca intensities. The results obtained in these measurements may allow determining quantitatively the parameters of diffusion rates and other physical properties of new bone like diffusion coefficients. 相似文献

A problem consisting of the optimal design of a segmented wall on a surface having a nonlinear slope contour is considered. It is formulated as an optimal control problem and a solution procedure based on the Discrete Maximum Principle is developed. An application to a real case, which previously had been solved by a Dynamic Programming based method, is included together with some critical comments on the above-mentioned technique. 相似文献

ABSTRACT This work presents a rotor resistance estimation algorithm. The estimation process is based on a recursive least squares method. It is applied to a speed sensorless induction motor drive scheme in order to implement slip adaptation. A discrete approach is considered in which an induction motor model written in form of difference equations is used by the estimation algorithm. All the associated mathematical developments are shown. Simulation results are used to verify the performance of the proposed rotor resistance estimator. 相似文献

The most technological way of recording blazed concave holographic gratings is by using the direct- and back-reflected beams. Usually plano-concave blanks are used for diffraction grating fabrication. To compensate the refraction at the plane back surface of the blank, one has to use additional elements or two-step recording mountings. Another solution is to use diffraction grating blanks having zero optical power. A number of gratings with different groove frequencies have been fabricated using concave—convex blanks. The theoretical investigation of the aberration properties of the recording mountings, and the experimental study of the grating properties are discussed. Using the CODE V program it is shown that a significant reduction in the aberration size of the virtual recording source can be achieved by optimization of the radius of curvature of the blank back surface. The experimental results confirm the possibility of achieving gratings that can be used in flat-field spectrometers with a limit of resolution of about 2–3 nm even in the case where an aberrated virtual recording source is used. 相似文献

This research aimed to identify the drivers of acceptance and purchase intent of a probiotic (Bifidobacterium longum BL05) nonflavoured yoghurt supplemented with glucose oxidase, and to model the consumers’ acceptability using sensometrics and artificial neural networks (ANN). Consumers (n = 100) evaluated the degree of liking of yoghurt assays in respect of appearance, aroma, taste, texture and overall linking. Sensometric techniques – multiple linear regression (MLR), partial least squares regression (PLS), principal component regression (PCR) – and ANN were used to model the overall liking. Sensory drivers of global acceptance and purchase intent were also determined using logistic regression (LR). Hierarchical cluster analysis (HCA) identified three consumer segments that presented differences in all sensory attributes evaluated (P < 0.05). The ANN model showed the best performance to predict overall liking, followed by the MLR, PLS and PCR, indicating that taste and texture were the most significant attributes impacting the yoghurts overall liking. In accordance with the logistic models, overall acceptance and purchase intent could be predicted with 81.94 and 85.49% accuracy, respectively. The logistic regression indicated that taste was the attribute that contributed significantly (P < 0.0001) to higher scores for purchase intent and was considered the driver of acceptance. 相似文献
