Concomitant pathologies (labral lesions, intra-/extra-osseous ganglia and stress bone marrow edema) in adult residual hip dysplasia (RHD) might influence the outcome of conservative hip surgery. The aim of our prospective clinical study was to assess the value of preoperative MR arthrography in diagnosing concomitant lesions and in making surgical decisions in RHD. The first 37 consecutive patients with a minimum follow-up of 18 months have been analysed. All 37 patients presented RHD with the clinical symptomatology of labral lesions and underwent routine preoperative MRA. According to clinical, radiological and MR arthrographical criteria, these 37 patients were subdivided into four therapeutic subgroups: (1) reorientation of the acetabulum using the T?nnis triple pelvic osteotomy (TPO); (2) intertrochanteric varisation osteotomy (IVO); (3) palliative decompression with only symptomatic partial resection of the torn labrum (PALL); (4) primary total hip replacement (TEP). Based on the preliminary clinical and radiological outcomes of these four subgroups, the following conclusions can be drawn: labral lesions are considered to be a sign of chronic joint instability. Therefore, acetabular malorientation should be corrected by redirectional osteotomy of the acetabulum (TPO-subgroup) even in low grades of RHD if labral lesions are present. "Palliative" labral resections without corrective osteotomy (PALL subgroup) in secondary osteoarthritis due to RHD are definitively obsolete, because they rapidly progress to severe osteoarthritis due to surgically accelerated joint instability. The paper describes the new development programme of the Polish information infrastructure. The programme, called in Polish PIONIER: (English—PIONEER) Polish Optical Internet, Advanced Applications, Services and Technologies for the Information Society, has been proposed to the Polish State Committee for Scientific Research and has been accepted. The aim of the programme is to create an advanced infrastructure together with tools, services and applications available to the entire scientific community and eventually to government and local administrations as well as society in general. Services and applications are expected to appear as selected pilot realizations in order to verify deployed technologies. A sequence S is nonrepetitive if no two adjacent blocks of S are the same. In 1906 Thue proved that there exist arbitrarily long nonrepetitive sequences over 3 symbols. We consider the online variant of this result in which a nonrepetitive sequence is constructed during a play between two players: Bob is choosing a position in a sequence and Alice is inserting a symbol on that position taken from a fixed set A. The goal of Bob is to force Alice to create a repetition, and if he succeeds, then the game stops. The goal of Alice is naturally to avoid that and thereby to construct a nonrepetitive sequence of any given length.We prove that Alice has a strategy to play arbitrarily long provided the size of the set A is at least 12. This is the online version of the theorem of Thue. The proof is based on nonrepetitive colorings of outerplanar graphs. On the other hand, one can prove that even over 4 symbols Alice has no chance to play for too long. This review presents the state‐of‐the‐art concerning the application of natural and artificial high‐intensity sweeteners, fructans and bulking agents such as polyols as sugar replacers in sweet‐baked goods and their effects on product characteristics. The recent much publicised attention given to weight gain of the population and its consequences on the occurrence of diet‐related diseases in developed countries has influenced the food manufacturers attempts to provide the consumer with reduced energy products. The replacement of sucrose in sweet bakery products by alternative natural or artificial sweeteners can be a challenging issue. Sucrose as a main ingredient in sweet bakery products contributes, aside from providing sweetness, to numerous processing and product characteristics. Intense sweeteners have a high sweetness compared with sucrose but lack in their contribution to the body of the product, whereas the replacement of sucrose with bulking sweeteners may result in products with a similar body but a lack in taste and flavour. 相似文献

The Staphylococcus epidermidis biofilm formation on titanium or titanium alloy, coated with TiN, SiO2-TiO2 and electrodeposited hydroxyapatite, was tested. Surfaces of titanium, Ti6Al4V alloy or TiN, modified with SiO2-TiO2 layer, were found to be highly resistant to bacterial adhesion. Only small amounts of bacterial cells were observed on matrices coated by thin hydroxyapatite films, deposited on both SiO2-TiO2 and TiN + SiO2-TiO2 interlayers. Biological tests showed that the biofilm formed massively on polished and ground titanium and titanium alloy surfaces, also those covered with TiN, but not on those modified with SiO2-TiO2 nanofilm. 相似文献
