Vegetable soup (VS), a plant-based functional food, has been used as a traditional folk medicine and is attracting attention for its ability to enhance the immune response. β-Glucan, a well-established and effective immunomodulator, has synergistic effects when used in combination with some bioactive compounds. In the present study, we aimed to evaluate the synergistic immunomodulatory effects of the combination of VS and β-glucan on macrophage-mediated immune responses. β-Glucan was demonstrated to synergistically enhance the VS-stimulated immune response, including the production of interleukin-6, tumor necrosis factor-α, and nitric oxide, mainly through the mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway in macrophages. Conductive La0.8Sr0.2MnO3 (LSM) and La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3 (LSCF) layers with a thickness of ∼10 μm were deposited on ferritic stainless steel (SS) by the aerosol deposition method, for use as an oxidation resistance-coating layer in the metallic interconnector of a solid oxide fuel cell. The coated layers were fairly dense without pores or cracks, and maintained good adhesion even after oxidation at 800°C for 100 h. The surface of the bare SS after annealing at 800°C for 100 h was covered with Cr2O3 and Fe3O4 oxide scales, and the electrical conductivity was sharply decreased. However, the LSM- and LSCF-coated SSs showed a surface microstructure with almost no oxidation and maintained good electrical conductivity after annealing at 800°C for 100 h. The area-specific resistance (ASR) of LSM- and LSCF-coated alloys after 100 h of oxidation at 800°C was 20.6 and 11.7 mΩ·cm2, respectively.  相似文献

Al foil was coated with niobium oxide by cathodic electroplating and anodized in a neutral boric acid solution to achieve high capacitance in a thin film capacitor. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) revealed the niobium oxide layer on Al to be a hydroxide-rich amorphous phase. The film was crystalline and had stoichiometric stability after annealing at temperatures up to 600 °C followed by anodizing at 500 V, and the specific capacitance of the Nb2O5-Al2O3 composite oxide was approximately 27% higher than that of Al2O3 without a Nb2O5 layer. The capacitance was quite stable to the resonance frequency. Overall, the Nb2O5-Al2O3 composite oxide film is a suitable material for thin film capacitors.  相似文献

Templated grain growth is beneficial for piezoelectric materials, the properties of which become the best in their single crystalline form. Nevertheless, a textured ceramic prepared by a templated grain growth technique often fails in exhibiting as good properties as expected in single crystals even with a high degree of orientation factor. Here, we propose a new strategy for maximizing texturing effect by suppressing the growth of untextured matrix grains. The textured ceramics made by our method, so-called bi-templated grain growth, are featured by ultrahigh piezoelectric properties (d33 = ~1,031 pC/N, d?g = ~59,000, kp = ~0.76). A special emphasis is on the achieved electric-field-induced strain of 0.13 % at 1 kV/mm, which is as high as that of single crystals. This work demonstrates that not only the degree of texture but also the coarsening of untextured matrix grains should be well-controlled to best exploit the templated grain growth technique.  相似文献

A new strategy was attempted to fabricate CeO2 nanoparticles using the surface fluorination technique to control the particle size and suppress the catalytic activity. The fluorinated CeO2 nanoparticles are fully characterized with XRD, XANES, UV-vis spectroscopy, HR-TEM, XPS along with the evaluation of photo and thermal catalytic activities. XRD patterns were not affected by surface fluorination. That is to say, the crystalline structure of CeO2 was not deteriorated upon fluorination. The TEM analysis showed that the fluorinated CeO2 nanoparticles with the primary particle size of 7 nm could be prepared. According to the X-ray absorption near edge structure (XANES) analysis, overall XANES spectrum was not changed upon fluorination, suggesting that the local structure of fluorinated CeO2 resembled that of the starting CeO2 nanoparticles. It was also revealed that both photo and thermal catalytic activities could be almost totally suppressed at the fluorination level of ca. 6.0 wt%. It is suggested that the selective surface fluorination with fluoride could lead to fluorinated CeO2 nanoparticles, which could be applied to new fields such as the cosmetics industries.  相似文献

The influence of pre-strain on the formation of bimodal grain structures and tensile properties of a Co-20 Cr-15 W-10 Ni alloy was investigated.The bimodal grain structures consist of fine grains(FGs;2-3 μm in diameter) and coarse grains(CGs;8-16 μm in diameter),which can be manipulated by changing the pre-strain(ε=0.3-0.7) and annealing temperatures(1000-1100℃).High pre-strain applied in the samples can intensify the plasticity heterogeneity through increasing the total dislocation density and the local volumes of high-density dislocations.This can essentially result in finer FGs,a higher FG volume fraction,and overall grain refinement in the samples after annealing.High-temperature essentially increases both the size and volume fraction of CGs,leading to an increase in the average grain size.The tensile test suggests that the bimodal grain structured samples exhibited both high strength and ductility,yield strengths of621-877 MPa and ultimate tensile strengths of1187-1367 MPa with uniform elongations of 55.0%-71.4%.The superior strength-ductility combination of the samples arises from the specific deformation mechanisms of the bimodal grain structures.The tensile properties strongly depend on the size ratio and volume fraction of FGs/CGs in addition to the average grain size in the bimodal grain structures.The grain structures can be modified via changing the pre-strain and annealing temperature.  相似文献

A fast, sensitive, high performance liquid chromatographic method was developed for the quantitation of cholesterol and four of its major oxidation products: 3β-hydroxycholest-5-en-7-one (7-ketocholesterol), cholest-5-ene-3β, 7α-diol (7α-hydroxycholesterol), cholest-5-ene-3β,7β-diol (7β-hydroxycholesterol), and cholest-5-ene-3β,25-diol (25-hydroxycholesterol). In this procedure 2∶1 chloroform:methanol (v/v) extracts of tissue homogenate were combined, dried over anhydrous Na2SO4, filtered, evaporated to dryness under N2 and dissolved with a mobile phase of either 97∶3 or 93∶7 hexane:isopropanol (v/v). After membrane filtration and without further purification, aliquots were directly injected onto a 10-μm pore size, 30×0.39 cm μ-Porasil normal phase column. The separation of cholesterol and its oxidation products was monitored by a UV detector at 206 and 233 nm. This method was successfully applied to pork muscle as well as mouse liver tissues and was able to detect cholesterol oxidation products (COP) in the ppm range. The identity of the COP was confirmed by mass spectroscopy.  相似文献

This letter investigates the performance degradation due to the imperfect parameters in orthogonal frequency- and code-division multiplexing (OFCDM) systems with multiple antennas. For the performance evaluation, the average bit error rate (BER) expression is generalized to the multiple-antenna case in the presence of the channel estimation error and frequency offset. Derived results show that the multiple-antenna OFCDM systems experience a severe BER degradation regardless of the number of users.  相似文献

This study examined the age-hardening by miscibility limit in a multi-purpose dental gold alloy containing platinum. The hardness increased rapidly in the initial stage of the aging process, reached the maximum value, then decreased continuously with aging time. The significant hardness increase resulted from the heterogeneous precipitation of the Pt-rich β phase from the grain boundary of the Au-rich α1 matrix due to the miscibility limit of Au-Pt system. With increasing aging time, the fine Pt-rich β precipitates covered almost the whole matrix, and by further aging, the precipitates grew coarse. The microstructural coarsening reduced the interface between the Au-rich α1 matrix and the Pt-rich β precipitates, which released the lattice strains between the two phases, resulting in a softening effect. In the later stage of aging process, the Au-containing Pt3In particle-like structure was transformed into the Au-depleted particle-like structure containing relatively large amounts of Cu resulting from the overlapping miscibility limit of both Au-Pt and Ag-Cu systems, which was responsible for the slow decreasing rate in hardness in the later stage of aging.  相似文献
