In this study, we use the first-principle calculations of density functional theory with gradient generalized approximation of Wu–Cohen to investigate the doping effect of vanadium impurity on structural, electronic and magnetic properties of In1?x V x P and B1?x V x P alloys at various concentrations x = 0.0625, 0.125 and 0.25. Owing to the metallic nature of majority spin and semiconducting minority spin, the In1?x V x P compounds exhibit a half-metallic character with total magnetic moments of 2 μ B, while the B1?x V x P has metallic nature for all concentrations. The results of exchange parameters revealed that exchange coupling between vanadium atoms and the conduction band is ferromagnetic, confirming the magnetic feature of In1?x V x P and B1?x V x P. From our findings, we have predicted that the In1?x V x P alloys seem to be potential materials for spintronics.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: The prognosis of acute inferior myocardial infarction is worse when it is complicated by right ventricular infarction. ST elevation in the right precordial leads is one of the reliable methods for detecting acute right ventricular infarction. The purpose of the study was to examine the relation between ST elevation in the right precordial electrocardiographic leads during acute inferior infarction and the severity of right ventricular systolic dysfunction. METHODS: This study analyzed the relation between ST elevation > or = 0.1 mV in V4R and the severity of right ventricular systolic dysfunction in 43 consecutive patients (men/women: 35/8; average age 62+/-9 years) with acute inferior myocardial infarction with a rapid-response Swan-Ganz catheter to measure the right ventricular ejection fraction (RVEF). RESULTS: RVEF was significantly lower in patients with ST elevation (n = 18) than in those without (n = 25) (33%+/-6% vs 40%+/-9%, p = 0.010). If the infarct-related lesion was located in the proximal right coronary artery, RVEF tended to be lower than if the lesion was located in the distal right coronary artery or the left circumflex coronary artery (33%+/-10% vs 37%+/-9% vs 42%+/-9%, p = 0.101). Logistic regression analysis demonstrated that ST elevation in V4R was the only independent predictor of depressed RVEF (odds ratio = 5.31, 95% confidence interval = 1.28 to 22.1, p = 0.022). CONCLUSION: ST elevation in lead V4R during acute inferior myocardial infarction predicts right ventricular systolic dysfunction.  相似文献

Different polyurethanes (PU) were synthesized from polycaprolactone diol, 1.6-hexamethylene diisocyanate and bis(2-hydroxyethyl)terephthalate, using a two- and one-step methods providing regular and random distributions of starting monomers in the polyurethane chains. Even with an identical molar monomer composition, the properties of obtained PU are different depending on the method of synthesis. The chemical structure of PU was characterized by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy, as well as by FTIR and UV–Visible spectroscopy. The thermo-mechanical and hydrophilic properties of synthesized PU were also studied demonstrating the influence of aromatic ring in the macromolecular chain.  相似文献

The present study goes into the search for the safety domain of civil engineering structures. The objective is to show how a reliability-evaluation brought by a mechanical sizing can be obtained. For that purpose, it is necessary to have a mechanical model and a reliability model representing correctly the behavior of this type of structure.It is a question on one hand, to propose a formulation for the nonlinear calculation (mechanical nonlinearity) of the spatial structures in trusses, and on the other hand, to propose or to adapt a formulation and a modeling of the reliability. The principle of Hasofer-Lind can be applied, in first approach, for the reliability index estimation, scenarios and the probability of failure.The made check concerned metallic in truss structures. Finally, some structures are calculated using the method adapted by Hasofer-Lind to validate the probability approach of the reliability analysis.  相似文献

A freezing point depression system (dimethyl sulfoxide-Tullanox-water-polyvinyl alcohol) has been developed which prevents icing at a cold surface at moderate temperatures below 0°C in ambient air of 12.8°C and 70% relative humidity for several days. No drainage of liquids occurs during this time; the increase in weight is moderate (20–30%). The system is non-toxic and not inflammable. Finite element analysis (FEA) combined with the concepts of Linear Elastic fracture mechanics (LEFM) provides a practical and convenient means to study the fracture and crack growth of materials. A numerical analysis (FEM) of cracks was developed to derive the SIF for two different geometries, i.e., a rectangular plate with half circle-hole and central edge crack plate in tension loading conditions. The onset criterion of crack propagation is based on the stress intensity factor, which is the most important parameter that must be accurately estimated and facilitated by the singular element. Displacement extrapolation technique (DET) is employed, to obtain the stress intensity factors (SIFs) at crack tip. The fracture is modeled by the splitting node approach and the trajectory follows the successive linear extensions of each crack increment. These comprehensive tests are evaluated and compared with other relevant numerical and analytical results obtained by other researchers.  相似文献

Energy is a scarce resource in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN). Some studies show that more than 70% of energy is consumed in data transmission in WSN. Since most of the time, the sensed information is redundant due to geographically collocated sensors, most of this energy can be saved through data aggregation. Furthermore, data aggregation improves bandwidth usage and reduces collisions due to interference. Unfortunately, while aggregation eliminates redundancy, it makes data integrity verification more complicated since the received data is unique.  相似文献

Instruments have been developed for the testing of stiffness of polymers in various gaseous environmental “atmospheres” over a large range of temperatures. They are based on the cantilever principle, where a small strip of a specimen is deflected statically or periodically. Changes in stiffness are measured as function of the bending force or power input, respectively. The dynamic instrument responds very sensitively to the onset of cracking in specimens due to ozone exposure. The static instrument is well suited for measuring the onset of rapidly increasing stiffness as temperatures are lowered.  相似文献

The magnetic anisotropy of V3O5 was investigated by magneto-torque measurements in the temperature range from 4.2 to 300 K. It has been confirmed that the Néel temperature is about 75 K and that two of the three principal axes vary with temperature in both the paramagnetic and antiferromagnetic states. The direct measurement of scattering and total losses of very good uniform optical fibres has been proposed and verified for the first time by analysing the scattering light with the variation of input launching power of an He-Ne laser by an optical attenuator.
