The effects produced by annealing Y2O3 nanopowders on their spark plasma sintering (SPS) behavior are systematically investigated in this work. It is found that the annealed powders display higher sinterability with respect to the as‐received ones. Indeed, the maximum densification level reached from pristine powders is about 97.5%, whereas density decreases when further increasing either the sintering temperature or the dwell time. In contrast, the density of SPS products obtained from pretreated powder monotonically increases with temperature and processing time, thus leading to fully dense materials in 30 min at 1050°C and 60 MPa. Correspondingly, it is found that the annealing treatment markedly inhibits grain coarsening during SPS. Thus, dense translucent samples with grain size below 100 nm can be attained from annealed powders. On the other hand, white‐opaque specimens with significantly coarser microstructures (up to 1‐μm‐sized grains) are obtained when pristine powders are directly processed under the same sintering conditions. Furthermore, it is observed that the annealing treatment of SPS samples in air allows for graphite contamination removal, whereas no improvement in term of light transmittance is produced.  相似文献

Excessive energy intake may evoke complex biochemical processes characterized by inflammation, oxidative stress, and impairment of mitochondrial function that represent the main factors underlying noncommunicable diseases. Because cow milk is widely used for human nutrition and in food industry processing, the nutritional quality of milk is of special interest with respect to human health. In our study, we analyzed milk produced by dairy cows fed a diet characterized by a high forage:concentrate ratio (high forage milk, HFM). In view of the low n-6:n-3 ratio and high content of conjugated linoleic acid of HFM, we studied the effects of this milk on lipid metabolism, inflammation, mitochondrial function, and oxidative stress in a rat model. To this end, we supplemented for 4 wk the diet of male Wistar rats with HFM and with an isocaloric amount (82 kJ, 22 mL/d) of milk obtained from cows fed a diet with low forage:concentrate ratio, and analyzed the metabolic parameters of the animals. Our results indicate that HFM may positively affect lipid metabolism, leptin:adiponectin ratio, inflammation, mitochondrial function, and oxidative stress, providing the first evidence of the beneficial effects of HFM on rat metabolism.  相似文献

We have analyzed the compositional properties of coding (protein encoding) and non-coding sequences of Plasmodium falciparum, a unicellular parasite characterized by an extremely AT-rich genome. GC% levels, base and dinucleotide frequencies were studied. We found that among the various factors that contribute to the properties of the sequences analyzed, the most relevant are the compositional constraints which operate on the whole genome.  相似文献

Forward displacement solutions are presented for a class of spatial parallel manipulators. In particular, considered are manipulators consisting of a platform supported through passive spherical joints by three branches, each branch having three-revolute joints forming its main arm. Solutions are described for arbitrary main-arm layouts and for all possible cases of redundant (nine, eight, and seven sensors) and non-redundant (six sensors) sensing of branch main-arm joint displacements. It is demonstrated that closed-form forward displacement solutions can be found for all cases of redundant sensing. Furthermore, it is shown that a closed-form solution can be obtained for one of the two possible cases of non-redundant sensing of the main-arm joint displacements. The only case of joint displacement sensing not allowing a closed-form forward displacement solution is two joints sensed per branch, a case that can be expressed as a 16th-order polynomial of a single variable. Due to the importance of having efficient and failure-safe solutions for the forward displacement problem, it is suggested that appropriate redundancy in displacement sensing should be an important consideration in the design of parallel manipulation devices. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

The paper illustrates the novel concept of Cognitive UWB Radio, a wireless system based on UWB transmission able to self-adapt to the characteristics of the surrounding environment. First, salient features of UWB transmission are reviewed, and then, application of UWB characteristics to the problem of cognitive radio systems is discussed. Current ongoing studies and achieved results on a possible physical layer based on Prolate Spheroidal Wave Functions and consistent with the Cognitive UWB Radio paradigm are presented and analyzed, and their application to the sensor network scenario is discussed.  相似文献

The objective of this study is to describe usual medical management and costs associated with recurrent respiratory infections in subjects with chronic obstructive bronchitis in France. A prospective survey was performed in Autumn 1994 on a national sample of private practice pulmonologists (N = 71). Two hundred forty-four patients, presenting at least one infection of the lower respiratory tract, were included. Bronchitis was the most frequent acute exacerbation observed (94%). Pneumonia concerned 9% of the patients. Biological tests, X-rays and pulmonary function tests were prescribed for, respectively, 59, 65 and 45% of the patients. Following the visit, 15 patients were hospitalized (6%). The direct medical cost per acute exacerbation was estimated 3,289 francs (1994 value) of which 60% were hospital-related. An average 10.4 day sick-leave was prescribed to 21% of patients in employment. For those patients, this sick-leave was associated to an extra-cost of 1,264-1,876 francs for Social Security and of 0-2,553 francs out of pocket per episode varying according to their Benefit Regimen.  相似文献

The catalyst behaviour of titanium silicalite, which was found the most active and selective catalyst for liquid-phase ammoximation of cyclohexanone to the corresponding oxime with hydrogen peroxide, was investigated in the gas-phase ammoximation with molecular oxygen in and compared with those of pure silicalite and samples of vanadium and chromium silicalites. The results showed that Ti-silicalite is a selective catalyst not only in the reaction with hydrogen peroxide but also in the reaction with molecular oxygen. However, a big limitation was found in the poor activity of the silicalites which do not allow to reach high oxime yields.  相似文献
