The throughput enhancement of space-time spreading (STS)-based code division multiple access (CDMA) system is investigated in this paper. Variable spreading factor (VSF) is utilized to improve the data throughput of the system in non-frequency selective Rayleigh fading channel. In this contribution, an analytical approach is proposed to compute a new expression for the bit error rate (BER) performance of the STS-based CDMA system against pre-despreading signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) for different values of spreading factor. The other contribution of the paper is deriving a new analytical expression for the throughput enhancement of the VSF STS-based CDMA system in non-frequency selective Rayleigh fading channel. Simulation and analytical results demonstrate that using VSF method in STS-based CDMA system improves the throughput of the system by keeping the BER performance at a target level.  相似文献

This paper proposes the use of double‐frequency (DF) buck converter architecture consisting of a merged structure of high and low frequency buck cells as a candidate topology for envelope elimination and restoration (EER) applications and integrated power supply of RF power amplifiers (RFPA) to obtain favorable tradeoffs in terms of efficiency, switching ripple, bandwidth, and tracking capability. It is shown that having two degrees of freedom in designing the DF buck helps to achieve high efficiency, low output ripples, and tracking capability with low ripples, simultaneously. A comparison analysis is done with regards to the mentioned performance indexes with the standard and three‐level buck converters; in addition, the results are validated in HSPICE in BSIM3V3 0.35‐µm CMOS process. Social annotation systems (SAS) allow users to annotate different online resources with keywords (tags). These systems help users in finding, organizing, and retrieving online resources to significantly provide collaborative semantic data to be potentially applied by recommender systems. Previous studies on SAS had been worked on tag recommendation. Recently, SAS‐based resource recommendation has received more attention by scholars. In the most of such systems, with respect to annotated tags, searched resources are recommended to user, and their recent behavior and click‐through is not taken into account. In the current study, to be able to design and implement a more precise recommender system, because of previous users' tagging data and users' current click‐through, it was attempted to work on the both resource (such as web pages, research papers, etc.) and tag recommendation problem. Moreover, by applying heat diffusion algorithm during the recommendation process, more diverse options would present to the user. After extracting data, such as users, tags, resources, and relations between them, the recommender system so called “Swallow” creates a graph‐based pattern from system log files. Eventually, following the active user path and observing heat conduction on the created pattern, user further goals are anticipated and recommended to him. Test results on SAS data set demonstrate that the proposed algorithm has improved the accuracy of former recommendation algorithms.  相似文献

The aim of this work was to study the influence of methacrylic acid (MAA) as a comonomer and the application of a molecular imprinting technique on the loading and release properties of weakly crosslinked 2‐hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) hydrogels, with a view toward their use as reloadable soft contact lenses for the administration of prednisolone acetate (PA). The hydrogels were prepared with HEMA (95.90–98.30 mol %) as a backbone monomer, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (140 mM) as a crosslinker, and MAA (0, 50, 100, or 200 mM) as a functional monomer. Different PA/MAA molar ratios (0, 1 : 8, 1 : 6, and 1 : 4) in the feed composition of the hydrogels were also applied to study the influence of the molecular imprinting technique on their binding properties. The hydrogels (0.4 mm thick) were synthesized by thermal polymerization at 60°C for 24 h in a polypropylene mold. The hydrogels were then characterized by the determination of their swelling and binding properties in water. Their loading and release properties were also studied in 0.9% NaCl and artificial lachrymal fluid. Increasing the MAA content of the hydrogel and applying the molecular imprinting technique led to an increase in the loading capacity of the hydrogel. The optimized imprinted hydrogel showed the highest affinity for PA and the greatest ability to control the release process, sustaining it for 48 h. The results obtained clearly indicate that the incorporation of MAA as a comonomer increased the PA loading capacity of hydrogel. Our data showed that the molecular imprinting technique also had a significant effect on the loading and release properties of the hydrogels. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A new setup for spatially resolved laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (SR-LIBS) is used for the first time to analyze methane-air diffusion flames. Using this configuration, background continuum emission is reduced, signal-to-background noise ratio is increased up to eight times, and spatial resolution is enhanced. The local equivalence ratio is also quantitatively estimated and the width of the secondary combustion region at a specified height above the burner is determined for two different methane flow rates. Furthermore, the threshold energy for spark formation is measured for regions inside and outside the flame. The results show that threshold energy is larger at the secondary combustion region, near the border of the flame, than inside the flame.  相似文献

Fibrous monoliths (FMs) exhibit graceful failure in flexure and have higher toughness values. In this research, a mixture of Al2O3 and SiC as the core and graphite as the shell material of fibers were produced by extrusion-molding technique and after aligning along intended directions (0°, 90°, and 0°/90°) were sintered using the hot-pressing method at the temperature of 1500°C under pressure of 35 MPa for 1 hour. The significance of fibers orientation angle and the cell to cell boundary volume ratio in defining the fracture behavior of the FMs was detected. Because of the extensive crack interactions with graphite cell boundary such as crack deflection and delamination, with increasing cell boundary content from 25 to 30 vol%, the fracture toughness was enhanced. The highest flexural strength (184.8 ± 0.61 MPa) obtained from samples with 0° fibers orientation compared to 0°/90°. Since in the transverse plies (layers with 90° aligning), the properties of matrix phase are dominant, hence the strength in specimens with 0°/90° fibers orientation decreased considerably due to weak graphite matrix phase. In addition, the fracture toughness value increased up to 8.35 ± 0.74 MPa·m1/2 for the unidirectional architecture of (0°) in comparison with cross-ply (0°/90°) architecture.  相似文献

Electro-conductive nanocomposites have several applications in biomedical field. Development of a biocompatible electro-conductive polymeric materials is therefore of prime importance. In this study, electro-conductive nanofibrous mats of PLGA/CNT were fabricated through different methods including blend electrospinning, simultaneous PLGA electrospinning and CNT electrospraying and ultrasound-induced adsorption of CNTs on the electrospun PLGA nanofibers. The morphology and diameter of fibers were characterized by SEM and TEM, showing the lowest average diameters of 477?±?136?nm for PLGA/MWCNT blend nanocomposites. MWCNT-sprayed PLGA specimens showed significant lower water contact angle (83°), electrical resistance (3.0?×?104?Ω) and higher mechanical properties (UTS: 5.50?±?0.46?MPa) compared to the untreated PLGA scaffolds. Also, results of PC12 cell study demonstrated highest viability percentage on the MWCNT-sprayed PLGA nanofibers. We propose that the conductive nanocomposites have capability to use as tool for the neural regeneration and biosensors.  相似文献
