This study evaluated the chemical compositions of the leaves and fruits of eight black pepper cultivars cultivated in Pará State (Amazon, Brazil). Hydrodistillation and gas chromatography–mass spectrometry were employed to extract and analyze the volatile compounds, respectively. Sesquiterpene hydrocarbons were predominant (58.5–90.9%) in the cultivars “Cingapura”, “Equador”, “Guajarina”, “Iaçará”, and “Kottanadan”, and “Bragantina”, “Clonada”, and “Uthirankota” displayed oxygenated sesquiterpenoids (50.6–75.0%). The multivariate statistical analysis applied using volatile composition grouped the samples into four groups: γ-Elemene, curzerene, and δ-elemene (“Equador”/“Guajarina”, I); δ-elemene (“Iaçará”/“Kottanadan”/“Cingapura”, II); elemol (“Clonada”/“Uthirankota”, III) and α-muurolol, bicyclogermacrene, and cubebol (“Bragantina”, IV). The major compounds in all fruit samples were monoterpene hydrocarbons such as α-pinene, β-pinene, and limonene. Among the cultivar leaves, phenolics content (44.75–140.53 mg GAE·g−1 FW), the enzymatic activity of phenylalanine-ammonia lyase (20.19–57.22 µU·mL−1), and carotenoids (0.21–2.31 µg·mL−1) displayed significant variations. Due to black pepper’s susceptibility to Fusarium infection, a molecular docking analysis was carried out on Fusarium protein targets using each cultivar’s volatile components. F. oxysporum endoglucanase was identified as the preferential protein target of the compounds. These results can be used to identify chemical markers related to the susceptibility degree of black pepper cultivars to plant diseases prevalent in Pará State.  相似文献

In this study, the chemical composition, total phenolic content and antioxidant activity (DPPH, ORAC and FRAP assays) of A. subrufescens and P. ostreatus, cultivated with handmade and commercials supplements, were compared. Additionally, the compounds ergosterol, saccharopine, and hexitol were identified in A. subrufescens by HPLC-MS/MS. The antioxidant compound p-coumaric acid and dihexoses was found in both mushroom species. A. subrufescens presented higher total phenolic content (73.8 ± 0.6 mg GAE 100 g−1) and antioxidant activity than P. ostreatus (16.6 ± 0.5 mg GAE 100 g−1). The handmade supplement based on the waste of noble grains presented statistically similar phenolic content to the mushrooms cultivated with commercial ones Spawn Mate II SE (86.1 ± 1.4 and 92.9 ± 0.3 mg GAE 100 g−1, respectively). Therefore, the results support the use of handmade supplements based on agro-wastes as a viable alternative to the use of high-cost commercial ones.  相似文献

Artemisia verlotorum, popularly ‘infalivina’, is a medicinal herb used for respiratory, circulatory and digestive treatments. Antiproliferative and genotoxic effects of A. verlotorum aqueous extracts in three different concentrations (6, 32 and 48 g/L) were evaluated on the Allium cepa cell cycle. Results clearly showed a significant difference using the χ2 test (p = 0.05) among treatments with a decrease in the mitotic index as the concentration of the extract increased. Extracts of A. verlotorum proved to be genotoxic and showed antiproliferative potential on the A. cepa cell cycle. This study suggests the use of infusions of A. verloturum for medicinal purposes only after selecting suitable concentrations.  相似文献

The performance of a proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) with gas diffusion cathodes having the catalyst layer applied directly onto Nafion membranes is investigated with the aim at characterizing the effects of the Nafion content, the catalyst loading in the electrode and also of the membrane thickness and gases pressures. At high current densities the best fuel cell performance was found for the electrode with 0.35 mg Nafion cm−2 (15 wt.%), while at low current densities the cell performance is better for higher Nafion contents. It is also observed that a decrease of the usual Pt loading in the catalyst layer from 0.4 to ca. 0.1 mg Pt cm−2 is possible, without introducing serious problems to the fuel cell performance. A decrease of the membrane thickness favors the fuel cell performance at all ranges of current densities. When pure oxygen is supplied to the cathode and for the thinner membranes there is a positive effect of the increase of the O2 pressure, which raises the fuel cell current densities to very high values (>4.0A cm−2, for Nafion 112—50 μm). This trend is not apparent for thicker membranes, for which there is a negligible effect of pressure at high current densities. For H2/air PEMFCs, the positive effect of pressure is seen even for thick membranes.  相似文献

The consumption of diet products has increased greatly in recent years. The objectives of the study were to develop a bittersweet chocolate added inulin and stevias with different rebaudioside A contents (60%, 80%, and 97%). Five chocolate samples were formulated with different sucrose concentrations to determine the ideal sucrose concentration for bittersweet chocolate. The use of just‐about‐right scale identified an ideal sucrose concentration of 47.5% (w/w). The sweetness equivalence in sugar‐free bittersweet chocolates was determined by the time–intensity method by 14 selected and trained judges. The data collected during each session of sensory evaluation furnished the following parameters in relation to the sweet stimulus: Imax (maximum intensity recorded), Timax (time at which the maximum intensity was recorded), Area (area of time × intensity curve), and Ttot (total duration time of the stimulus). The time–intensity analysis indicated that the percentages of rebaudioside A did not interfere with the sweetness intensity of the sweetener stevia in bittersweet chocolate and there was no significant difference in the concentrations tested (0.16%, 0.22%, 0.27%) of each stevia, in relation to the parameters evaluated. In addition, the reduction in fat content did not alter the perception of the sweetness intensity of the samples. These results showed important information to research and development of chocolate products. Therefore, the use of the lowest stevia concentration tested (0.16%) is the most indicated for use, since this quantity was sufficient to reach the ideal sweetness of the product, so there was no point in adding more.  相似文献

Platinum–niobium catalysts were prepared as candidates for CO tolerant anode catalysts for low and high temperature PEM fuel cells (PEMFCs). Three different compositions were prepared by the formic acid method, from platinum (hexachloroplatinic acid) and niobium (niobium chloride) precursors on Vulcan XC-72R carbon black. Deposition of the niobium was found to be quite difficult, and only a fraction of the desired composition was achieved. Mean particle sizes were all in the nanometric range, between 2 and 3 nm. Diffraction patterns display neither insertion of niobium within the crystalline structure of platinum, nor any crystalline phase associated to that material. Nevertheless, the presence of Nb displays a noticeable effect on the CO tolerance of the catalyst firstly revealed by a reduction of the CO stripping onset potential. Fuel cell results, operating with Nafion® at low temperature (80 °C) and H2 + 100 ppm of CO as fuel, and with H3PO4-doped ABPBI, at high temperature (150 °C) and H2 + 20,000 ppm of CO, display an enhancement in the performance compared to pure platinum, so niobium may be an interesting material for increasing the tolerance to carbon monoxide in PEMFC. Finally, CO/O2 polarisation curves display a decrease in the current density in the presence of Nb, confirming that the enhanced CO tolerance can be attributed to a strong electronic effect that weakens the Pt–CO adsorption strength.  相似文献

Perovskites LnV0.5Fe0.5O3 (Ln = Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho and Er) were synthesized by rapid solidification from arc-melted samples and characterized by the study of their crystal structure and hyperfine properties. These metastable solid solutions crystallized in the Pbnm symmetry, with the iron and vanadium cations randomly distributed in the transition metal octahedral sites. Depending on the lanthanide present at the A site of the perovskite, iron is present with two valences (i.e., Fe3+ and Fe2+). The volume of the unit cell for these perovskites increases linearly with the lanthanide ionic radius, as the perovskite approaches its ideal structure. At room temperature, the quadrupolar splitting of the trivalent paramagnetic Mössbauer component works as an indirect measurement for the Goldshmidt tolerance factor. Close to or below 100 K, these perovskites undergo a crystallographic phase transformation, probably due to orbital ordering of the V3+ cations, originating two different magnetic iron sites.  相似文献
