In this work, we report the study and the development of a capacitive probe which is suitable for getting fast and high voltage/current measurements. Due to the fact that fast pulses propagate generally in coaxial structures, the probe realized in this work was a capacitive divider with the divider electrode properly designed to assure the same characteristic impedance of the coaxial structure and the recombination time of the split signals during the propagation. It was a folded cylindrical ring of 1.4 cm long and 0.8 cm thick, which introduce a theoretical delay time of about 100 ps. Analyzing the behavior of the probe closed on 520 Omega, the voltage amplification resulted to be of (3.6+/-0.1) x 10(-4) and, as a consequence, the current attenuation factor of 56+/-1 AV. The response rise time was less than 320 ps, which was limited by oscilloscope bandwave. The capacitor probe can operate voltage measurements of the order of 100 kV.  相似文献

Direct metal laser sintering (DMLS) is an additive manufacturing technique for the production of parts with complex geometry and it is especially appropriate for structural applications in aircraft and automotive industries. Aluminum-based metal matrix composites (MMCs) are promising materials for these applications because they are lightweight, ductile, and have a good strength-to-weight ratio This paper presents an investigation of microstructure, hardness, and tribological properties of AlSi10Mg alloy and AlSi10Mg alloy/TiB2 composites prepared by DMLS. MMCs were realized with two different compositions: 10% wt. of microsize TiB2, 1% wt. of nanosize TiB2. Wear tests were performed using a pin-on-disk apparatus on the prepared samples. Performances of AlSi10Mg samples manufactured by DMLS were also compared with the results obtained on AlSi10Mg alloy samples made by casting. It was found that the composites displayed a lower coefficient of friction (COF), but in the case of microsize TiB2 reinforcement the wear rate was higher than with nanosize reinforcements and aluminum alloy without reinforcement. AlSi10Mg obtained by DMLS showed a higher COF than AlSi10Mg obtained by casting, but the wear rate was higher in the latter case.  相似文献

Neurooncology requires the integration of the clinical history, physical examination, neuroimaging studies, neuropathology, surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy in order to properly diagnose and treat patients with suspected brain tumors. The review herein serves to illustrate and emphasize the pitfalls that can potentially occur during each step of the process of managing patients with malignant gliomas. Familiarity with these pitfalls will enhance the neurologist's ability to successfully manage patients with neurooncological disease.  相似文献

From various manufacturers and distributors 48 fertilizer samples were collected and analyzed for contents of barium, rubidium and strontium by atomic absorption spectrophotometry. The investigated elements are almost always detectable in appreciable amounts in straight and compound fertilizers originated from natural rocks and salt deposits; whereas synthetic nitrogen fertilizers contain in every case low amounts of rubidium, no barium and appreciable quantities of strontium only in some cases. Potassium sulphate fertilizers appear to be the major source of rubidium and superphosphate and calciumcyanamide the source of barium, whilst the three of them supplied sensible amounts of strontium to fertilized soil to affect its average total content to a various degree.  相似文献

We present a three‐dimensional simulation of scanning electron microscope (SEM) images and surface charging. First, the field above the sample is calculated using Laplace's equation with the proper boundary conditions; then, the simulation algorithm starts following the electron trajectory outside the sample by using electron ray tracing. When the electron collides with the specimen, the algorithm keeps track of the electron inside the sample by simulating the electron scattering history with a Monte Carlo code. During this phase, secondary and backscattered electrons are emitted to form an image and primary electrons are absorbed; therefore, a charge density is formed in the material. This charge density is used to recalculate the field above and inside the sample by solving the Poisson equation with the proper boundary conditions. Field equation, Monte Carlo scattering simulation, and electron ray tracing are therefore integrated in a self‐consistent fashion to form an algorithm capable of simulating charging and imaging of insulating structures. To maintain generality, this algorithm has been implemented in three dimensions. We shall apply the so‐defined simulation to calculate both the global surface voltage and local microfields induced by the scanning beam. Furthermore, we shall show how charging affects resolution and image formation in general and how its characteristics change when imaging parameters are changed. We shall address magnification, scanning strategy, and applied field. The results, compared with experiments, clearly indicate that charging and the proper boundary conditions must be included in order to simulate images of insulating features. Furthermore, we shall show that a three‐dimensional implementation is mandatory for understanding local field formation.  相似文献

By applying the basic principles of metrology we discuss how to define the standards that any experimental method to measure resolution has to obey. Our results clearly indicate the need to apply a calibration procedure when designing algorithms to estimate resolution to satisfy accuracy requirements. Similarly, the precision of an algorithm has to be clearly specified. We compare here the performances of a variety of commonly used implementations of published methods, with that of an algorithm based on an approach known to be reliable. Our results confirm that when an algorithm is designed with the clear intent of satisfying metrology requirements, it demonstrates excellent accuracy, precision, and lack of sensitivity to the noise level, as is desirable. As a consequence, the algorithm will have the ability to measure accurately the point spread function convoluted in the image, thus paving the way for quantitative deconvolution techniques.  相似文献

Mixed micelles for MRA are multicomponent systems containing a phospholipid, a biocompatible non-ionic surfactant (e.g. Synporonic(k) F-108) and a lipophilic gadolinium complex. A variety of lipophilic gadolinium complexes were designed taking into account features such as: (i) nature of ligand (cyclic versus acyclic); (ii) lipophilic moiety; (iii) global charge of the complex; and (iv) nature of bond connecting the complex to the lipophilic moiety. All the lipophilic gadolinium complexes after formulation as mixed micelles show high relaxivities in water and in blood (rat). Mixed micelles containing gadolinium complexes bearing only one aliphatic chain cannot be used as MRA contrast agents because they have a high haemolytic effect. Furthermore, in rats they are quickly eliminated from the blood stream. These drawbacks are completely circumvented using gadolinium complexes bearing two aliphatic chains. Mixed micelles containing such complexes show high relaxivities. no haemolytic effect and long blood permanence. This makes them promising candidates as MRA contrast agents. However, elimination, which occurs exclusively through the liver, is not complete, even after 7 days. Complexes containing labile (e.g. ester) bonds between the lipophilic moieties and the chelate subunit are eliminated through both the liver and the kidneys. However, elimination is stiil not complete after 7 days.  相似文献
