Heat transfer enhancement in an evaporating thin liquid film utilizing a electric field under isothermal interfacial condition is presented. A new mathematical model subjected to van der Waals attractive forces, capillary pressure, and an electric field is developed to describe the heat transfer enhancement in the evaporating thin liquid film. The effect of the electrostatic field on the curvature of the thin film, evaporative flux, pressure gradient distribution, heat flux, and heat transfer coefficient in the thin film is presented. The results show that applying an electric field can enhance heat transfer in a thin liquid film significantly. In addition, utilizing electric fields on the evaporating film will be a way to expand the extended meniscus region to attain high heat transfer coefficients and high rates of heat flux. 相似文献

A simple, fast, and reliable liquid–liquid micro-extraction (LLME) method assisted by thermal ultrasound approach was developed for simultaneous determination of synthetic phenolic antioxidants (SPAs) in edible oils by high-performance liquid chromatography equipped with ultraviolet detector (HPLC-UV). The synthetic antioxidants were propyl gallate (PG), butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), tert-butylhydroquinone (TBHQ), and butylated hydroxyltoluene (BHT). The best extraction conditions were observed were methanol/acetonitrile (1:1, v/v) as the solvent, ultrasound at 4 min, and a temperature of 40°C. The linearity of the calibration curves for the optimum conditions were R2 > 0.989 for all of the SPAs in a range from 1–200 μg ml−1. Relative standard deviation (RSD %) for five analysis was in range of 2.83% to 4.21%. Limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) were obtained in range of 0.012–0.06 and 0.04–0.2 μg g−1, respectively. With regard to recovery, a range of 91%–116% was calculated for the spiked edible oils. 相似文献

Due to its high corrosion resistance and mechanical properties, stainless steel is commonly used in various industrial applications. Although different types of stainless steel are similar in their chemical composition, they can differ significantly in their thermal diffusivity. This property is relevant in the ability of a material to conduct heat and thus, in laser processing. In this frame, this study compares the ablation efficiency and characteristics of polished stainless steel samples of the alloys AISI 304, AISI 420, and AISI 316Ti. They are irradiated with single ultrashort pulses having pulse durations between 250 fs and 10 ps as well as using GHz burst modii. The goal is to investigate the differences in both the ablation threshold and the ablation rate to improve the ablation efficiency. The results show that shorter pulse durations lead to a more efficient ablation process. On the other hand, GHz bursts are found to be, in general, less efficient. In addition, there is a significant difference in the surface morphology depending on the process parameters. The differences in the thermal diffusivity do not significantly influence the ablation threshold fluence but surface morphology and the ablation rate. 相似文献

This paper presents comparisons of some recent improving strategies on multi-objective particle swarm optimization (MOPSO) algorithm which is based on Pareto dominance for handling multiple objective in continuous review stochastic inventory control system. The complexity of considering conflict objectives such as cost minimization and service level maximization in the real-world inventory control problem needs to employ more exact optimizers generating more diverse and better non-dominated solutions of a reorder point and order size system. At first, we apply the original MOPSO employed for the multi-objective inventory control problem. Then we incorporate the mutation operator to maintain diversity in the swarm and explore all the search space into the MOPSO. Next we change the leader selection strategy used that called geographically-based system (Grids) and instead of that, crowding distance factor is also applied to select the global optimal particle as a leader. Also we use ε-dominance concept to bound archive size and maintain more diversity and convergence in the MOPSO for optimizing the inventory control problem. Finally, the MOPSO algorithms created using these strategies are evaluated and compared with each other in terms of some performance metrics taken from the literature. The results indicate that these strategies have significant influences on computational time, convergence, and diversity of generated Pareto optimal solutions. 相似文献

The gas holdup is an important parameter that is needed for design and development of surface facilities and transportation pipelines in the field of petroleum engineering. There is no general model for prediction of this parameter in different systems and under different conditions. As a result, development of accurate and general models for prediction of this parameter in various situations is of great importance. This study presents new experimental gas holdup data in the kerosene+CO2 and kerosene+N2 systems. The experimental data were measured by using a bubble column setup. Moreover, a computer-based model namely PSO-ANFIS model is also developed for prediction of the gas holdup in different systems. A total of 818 experimental gas holdup data in various systems were utilized including the newly measured experimental data in the present work as well as experimental data from several published works in the literature. Results showed that the developed PSO-ANFIS model is accurate for prediction of experimental data with an R2 value of 0.998 and average absolute relative deviation (AARD%) of 3.4%. 相似文献

Electrolyte powders with low sintering temperature and high-ionic conductivity can considerably facilitate the fabrication and performance of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs). Gadolinia-doped ceria (GDC) is a promising electrolyte for developing intermediate- and low-temperature (IT and LT) SOFCs. However, the conventional sintering temperature for GDC is usually above 1200 °C unless additives are used. In this work, a nanocrystalline powder of GDC, (10 mol% Gd dopant, Gd0.1Ce0.9O1.95) with low-sintering temperature has been synthesized using ammonium benzoate as a novel, environmentally friendly and cost-effective precursor/precipitant. The synthesized benzoate powders (termed washed- and non-washed samples) were calcined at a relatively low temperature of 500 °C for 6 h. Physicochemical characteristics were determined using thermal analysis (TG/DTA), Raman spectroscopy, FT-IR, SEM/EDX, XRD, nitrogen absorptiometry, and dilatometry. Dilatometry showed that the newly synthesized GDC samples (washed and non-washed routes) start to shrink at temperatures of 500 and 600 °C (respectively), reaching their maximum sintering rate at 650 and 750 °C. Sintering of pelletized electrolyte substrates at the sintering onset temperature for commercial GDC powder (950 °C) for 6 h, showed densification of washed- and non-washed samples, obtaining 97.48 and 98.43% respectively, relative to theoretical density. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) analysis for the electrolyte pellets sintered at 950 °C showed a total electrical conductivity of 3.83 × 10?2 and 5.90 × 10?2 S cm?1 (under air atmosphere at 750 °C) for washed- and non-washed samples, respectively. This is the first report of a GDC synthesis, where a considerable improvement in sinterability and electrical conductivity of the product GDC is observed at 950 °C without additives addition. 相似文献

In this research, optimal conditions for extraction of caffeine and polyphenols were established from Iranian green tea leaves. In the first step, caffeine was extracted with efficacy about 86% versed to 4.5% of EGC + EGCG. The EGCG + EGC was extracted from partially decaffeinated green tea leaves through microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) and ultrasound-assisted extraction (USE) with efficiency levels of 95 and 85%, respectively. The best results for the MAE process were obtained with 7.8 min and three number of extraction cycles and for the USE process were as followed: time 57 min, temperature 65 °C, and the number of extraction cycles 3. The total phenol content values at the best conditions of MAE and the USE processes were 125 ± 5 and 96 ± 6 mg gallic acid/g DW. The 50% inhibition (IC50) on 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) were 56 and 66 mg/g of phenol for the MAE and USE processes. 相似文献
