In this paper we consider the problem of distributed fault diagnosis in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). The proposed Fault Diagnosis Algorithm (FDA) aims to handle both permanent and intermittent faults. The sensor nodes with permanent communication faults can be diagnosed by using the conventional time-out mechanism. In contrast, it is difficult to detect intermittent faults due to their inherent unpredictable behavior. The FDA is based on the comparison of sensor measurements and residual energy values of neighboring sensor nodes, exploiting their spatial correlations. To handle intermittent faults, the comparisons are made for \(r\) rounds. Two special cases of intermittent faults are considered: one, when an intermittently faulty node sends similar sensor measurement and similar residual energy value to some of its neighbors in all \(r\) rounds; another, when it sends these values, either or both of which deviates significantly from that of some neighbors in all \(r\) rounds. Through extensive simulation and analysis, the proposed scheme is proved to be correct, complete, and efficient to handle intermittent faults and hence, well suited for WSNs.  相似文献

The grain boundary character distribution (GBCD) and microstructure in 9Cr-1Mo ferritic/martensitic steel subjected to different heat treatments and thermomechanical treatments (TMTs) have been evaluated using electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) technique. Microstructures obtained through displacive transformation of high-temperature austenite yielded higher amounts of Σ1-29 coincidence site lattice (CSL) boundaries (from 29 to 38 pct) compared with the ferrite grains obtained by diffusional transformation (~16 pct) or by recrystallization process (~14 pct). Specifically, the low-angle (Σ1), Σ3, Σ11, and Σ25b boundaries were enhanced in the tempered martensite substructure, whereas the prior austenite grain boundaries were largely of random type. Misorientation between the product ferrite variants for ideal orientation relationships during austenite transformation was calculated and compared with CSL misorientation to find its proximity based on Brandon’s criteria. The observed enhancements in Σ1, Σ3, and Σ11 could be interpreted based on Kurdjumov–Sachs (K–S) relation, but Nishiyama–Wassermann (N–W) relation was needed to understand Σ25b formation. The amounts of CSL boundaries in the tempered martensite structure were not significantly influenced by austenite grain size or the kinetics of martensitic transformation. In mixed microstructures of “polygonal ferrite + tempered martensite”, the frequencies of CSL boundaries were found to systematically decrease with increasing amounts of diffusional/recrystallized ferrite.  相似文献

Owing to the recent fuel in investigation of lip as a biometrics trait both in physiological and behavioral aspect, and in healthcare application, it is imperative to comprehensively study and document the literature. Hence, in this work we enlist the works related to the lip as a biometirc trait and other applications-based on its behavior and physiology. Consequently, in this survey we first discuss the lip anatomy that permits to identify the physiological and behavioral properties. Followed by the list of challenges to characterize lip behavior and physiology. Next, we proceed to provide an insight of several inspiring ideas proposed in the literature to establish lip behavior and physiology for identity and other applications such as health monitoring and forensic. Whilst, it can be concluded at the end of the survey that their are several open research area and unsolved issues, which we discuss in details at the end of this survey to attract the attention of researchers.
