In this article we propose an aggregate optimization approach by formulating the multi-head SMD placement optimization problem into a mixed integer program (MIP) with the variables based on batches of components. This MIP is tractable and effective in balancing workload among placement heads, minimizing the number of nozzle exchanges, and improving handling class. The handling class which specifies the traveling speed of the robot arm, to the best of our knowledge, has been for the first time incorporated in an optimization model. While the MIP produces an optimal planning for batches of components, a new sequencing heuristics is developed in order to determine the final sequence of component placements based on the outputs of the MIP. This two-stage approach guarantees a good feasible solution to the multi-head SMD placement optimization problem. The computational performance is examined using real industrial data.  相似文献

Long-term administration of prostacyclin (PGI2) improves the hemodynamic state, symptoms, and survival in patients with primary pulmonary hypertension, but it increases mortality in patients with heart failure despite obvious hemodynamic benefits when it is given acutely. We evaluated the mechanisms of action of PGI2 in patients with heart failure and secondary pulmonary hypertension. Nineteen patients with end-stage heart failure and pulmonary hypertension, all candidates for heart transplantation, underwent right- and left sided cardiac catheterization with micromanometer-tipped catheters and were tested for PGI2 at incremental doses. PGI2 infusion significantly improved pulmonary hemodynamics with a 47% reduction in pulmonary vascular resistance (p=0.0003) and a doubling of pulmonary artery compliance (p <0.0001), reflecting improvement in pulmonary vascular tone. The dose of PGI2 necessary to reach this hemodynamic effect correlated significantly to the baseline severity of pulmonary artery compliance (r=0.54, p=0.01). Furthermore, PGI2 produced a significant positive inotropic effect (contractile element maximum velocity increased from 1.10+/-0.09 to 1.33+/-0.13 circ/s, p <0.009). The hemodynamic effects of PGI2 infusion were independent of the plasma and urinary levels of endogen prostaglandins. Thus, PGI2 at therapeutic doses exerts a positive inotropic effect in patients with heart failure, which may explain the increased mortality rate observed with the long-term use of PGI2 in this type of patient. The spectacular acute benefits on right ventricular afterload, however, may be useful in unstable patients with heart failure and secondary pulmonary hypertension or in transplanted patients with acute right ventricular failure of the donor heart.  相似文献

We consider semidefinite programming (SDP) formulations of certain truss topology optimization problems, where a lower bound is imposed on the fundamental frequency of vibration of the truss structure. These SDP formulations were introduced in Ohsaki et al. (Comp. Meth. Appl. Mech. Eng. 180:203–217, 1999). We show how one may automatically obtain symmetric designs, by eliminating the ‘redundant’ symmetry in the SDP problem formulation. This has the advantage that the original SDP problem is substantially reduced in size for trusses with large symmetry groups.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose two new lower bounds on graph bandwidth and cyclic bandwidth based on semidefinite programming (SDP) relaxations of the quadratic assignment problem. Data from assays of 244 crude oils (condensates, extra light, light, intermediate, and heavy crudes) were processed by the InterCriteria Analysis with the aim to investigate the relationships between bulk properties and fraction properties of the crude oils and the degree of similarity between them. It was found that except the crude bulk properties sulfur, Conradson carbon, and metals content all other studied crude bulk properties exhibited lack of statistically meaningful relations or presence of weak statistically meaningful relations with the crude fraction properties. The use of the InterCriteria Analysis showed that crudes with very similar properties could be identified when a large crude database is available. In this way based on a previous experience in oil refining a selection of potentially beneficial new crudes for processing in a refinery could be made.  相似文献

We propose a merit function for the expected contrast to noise ratio in tissue quantifications, and formulate a nonlinear, nonconvex semidefinite optimization problem to select locally-optimal balanced steady-state free precession (bSSFP) pulse-sequence design variables. The method could be applied to other pulse sequence types, arbitrary numbers of tissues, and numbers of images. To solve the problem we use a mixture of a grid search to get good starting points, and a sequential, semidefinite, trust-region method, where the subproblems contain only linear and semidefinite constraints. We give the results of numerical experiments for the case of three tissues and three, four or six images, in which we observe a better increase in contrast to noise than would be obtained by averaging the results of repeated experiments. As an illustration, we show how the pulse sequences designed numerically could be applied to the problem of quantifying intraluminal lipid deposits in the carotid artery.  相似文献

PulseNet USA is the national molecular subtyping network system for foodborne disease surveillance. Sixty-four public health and food regulatory laboratories participate in PulseNet USA and routinely perform pulsed-field gel electrophoresis of Shiga toxigenic Escherichia coli isolated from humans, food, water, and the environment on a real-time basis. Clusters of infection are detected in three ways within this system: through rapidly alerting the participants in the electronic communication forum, the PulseNet Web conference; through cluster analysis by the database administrators at the coordinating center at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the patterns uploaded to the central server by the participants; and by matching profiles of strains from nonhuman sources with recent human uploads to the national server. The strengths, limitations, and scope for future improvements of PulseNet are discussed with examples from 2002. In that year, notices of 30 clusters of Shiga toxigenic E. coli O157 infections were posted on the Web conference, 26 of which represented local outbreaks, whereas four were multistate outbreaks. Another 27 clusters were detected by central cluster detection performed at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, of which five represented common source outbreaks confirmed after finding an isolate with the outbreak pattern in the implicated food. Ten food isolates submitted without suspicion of an association to human disease matched human isolates in the database, and an epidemiologic link to human cases was established for six of them.  相似文献

Post heat treatment of the laser beam welded aluminium alloys AlSi1MgMn and AlCu4Mg1 Laser beam welded age hardenable aluminium alloys often exhibit a loss in strength in the fusion and the heat affected zones, compared to the uninfluenced base material. A material‐compatible combination among a base material, a welding filler material, as well as welding parameters and a suitable post heat treatment of the welded joint allows to improve the weld seam properties. The base material AlSi1MgMn (6082) was welded in the aging condition T4 using AlSi12 and AlSi7Mg ‐ filler materials and the welded joint was completely aged at different temperatures and times, in order to adjust an almost constant hardness profile over the base material, heat affected zone and fusion zone. The base material AlCu4Mg1 (2024) was welded in the aging condition T351 using a AlCu6Mn ‐ filler material and the welded joint was naturally aged. The aging behaviour, the residual stress, the static and dynamic properties of welded joints were examined. The properties can be clearly improved by the post heat treatment.  相似文献

In multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems, maximum-likelihood (ML) decoding is equivalent to finding the closest lattice point in an N-dimensional complex space. In general, this problem is known to be NP-hard. In this paper, a quasi-ML algorithm based on semi-definite programming (SDP) is proposed. We introduce several SDP relaxation models for MIMO systems, with increasing complexity. We use interior-point methods for solving the models and obtain a near-ML performance with polynomial computational complexity. Lattice basis reduction is applied to further reduce the computational complexity of solving these models. The proposed relaxation models are also used for soft output decoding in MIMO systems.  相似文献
