A method of controlling anchoring energy of surface interaction of liquid crystal photoaligning substances is considered to enhance the liquid crystal display performances. An important parameter of the dye's molecular structure that determines the ratio of polar and azimuthal anchoring energy is the ability to form dimers. The values of dimerization thermodynamic potentials have been found. The probability of the formation of dye molecules dimers is evaluated. The bonds conjugation transfer via intermolecular hydrogen bond is revealed, and anisotropy of polarizability of the hydrogen bond is evaluated. The effect of dimerization on polar and azimuthal anchoring energy of liquid crystal — azo dye system — is shown. 相似文献

The performance of five hole-transporting layers (HTLs) is investigated in both single-junction perovskite and Cu(In, Ga)Se2 (CIGSe)-perovskite tandem solar cells: nickel oxide (NiOx,), copper-doped nickel oxide (NiOx:Cu), NiOx+SAM, NiOx:Cu+SAM, and SAM, where SAM is the [2-(3,-6Dimethoxy-9H-carbazol-9yl)ethyl]phosphonic acid (MeO-2PACz) self-assembled monolayer. The performance of the devices is correlated to the charge-carrier dynamics at the HTL/perovskite interface and the limiting factors of these HTLs are analyzed by performing time-resolved and absolute photoluminescence ((Tr)PL), transient surface photovoltage (tr-SPV), and X-ray/UV photoemission spectroscopy (XPS/UPS) measurements on indium tin oxide (ITO)/HTL/perovskite and CIGSe/HTL/perovskite stacks. A high quasi-Fermi level splitting to open-circuit (QFLS-Voc) deficit is detected for the NiOx-based devices, attributed to electron trapping and poor hole extraction at the NiOx-perovskite interface and a low carrier effective lifetime in the bulk of the perovskite. Simultaneously, doping the NiOx with 2% Cu and passivating its surface with MeO-2PACz suppresses the electron trapping, enhances the holes extraction, reduces the non-radiative interfacial recombination, and improves the band alignment. Due to this superior interfacial charge-carrier dynamics, NiOx:Cu+SAM is found to be the most suitable HTL for the monolithic CIGSe-perovskite tandem devices, enabling a power-conversion efficiency (PCE) of 23.4%, Voc of 1.72V, and a fill factor (FF) of 71%, while the remaining four HTLs suffer from prominent Voc and FF losses. 相似文献

Assess the level of mitochondrial DNA depending on the presence of multiple organ failure in patients after heart surgery. The study included 60 patients who underwent surgical treatment of valvular heart disease using cardiopulmonary bypass. Uncomplicated patients were included in the 1st group (n = 30), patients with complications and multiple organ failure (MOF) were included in the 2nd group (n = 30). Serum mtDNA levels were determined by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction with fluorescent dyes. Mitochondrial DNA gene expression did not differ between group before surgery. Immediately after the intervention, cytochrome B gene expression was higher in the group with MOF, and it remained high during entire follow-up period. A similar trend was observed in cytochrome oxidase gene expression. Increased NADH levels of gene expressions during the first postoperative day were noted in both groups, the expression showed tendency to increase on the third postoperative day. mtDNA gene expression in the “MOF present” group remained at a higher level compared with the group without complications. A positive correlation was reveled between the severity of MOF according to SOFA score and the level of mtDNA (r = 0.45; p = 0.028) for the end-point “First day”. The ROC analysis showed that mtDNA circulating in plasma (AUC = 0.605) can be a predictor of MOF development. The level of mtDNA significantly increases in case of MOF, irrespective of its cause. Whole exome sequencing of invasive mammary carcinomas revealed the association of mutations in PTEN and ZFHX3 tumor suppressor genes (TSGs). We generated single and combined PTEN and ZFHX3 knock-outs (KOs) in the immortalized mammary epithelial cell line MCF10A to study the role of these genes and their potential synergy in migration regulation. Inactivation of PTEN, but not ZFHX3, induced the formation of large colonies in soft agar. ZFHX3 inactivation in PTEN KO, however, increased colony numbers and normalized their size. Cell migration was affected in different ways upon PTEN and ZFHX3 KO. Inactivation of PTEN enhanced coordinated cell motility and thus, the collective migration of epithelial islets and wound healing. In contrast, ZFHX3 knockout resulted in the acquisition of uncoordinated cell movement associated with the appearance of immature adhesive junctions (AJs) and the increased expression of the mesenchymal marker vimentin. Inactivation of the two TSGs thus induces different stages of partial epithelial-to-mesenchymal transitions (EMT). Upon double KO (DKO), cells displayed still another motile state, characterized by a decreased coordination in collective migration and high levels of vimentin but a restoration of mature linear AJs. The growth of microbial multidrug resistance is a problem in modern clinical medicine. Chemical modification of active pharmaceutical ingredients is an attractive strategy to improve their biopharmaceutical properties by increasing bioavailability and reducing drug toxicity. Conjugation of antimicrobial drugs with natural polysaccharides provides high efficiency of these systems due to targeted delivery, controlled drug release and reduced toxicity. This paper reports a two-step synthesis of colistin conjugates (CT) with succinyl chitosan (SucCS); first, we modified chitosan with succinyl anhydride to introduce a carboxyl function into the polymer molecule, which was then used for chemical grafting with amino groups of the peptide antibiotic CT using carbodiimide chemistry. The resulting polymeric delivery systems had a degree of substitution (DS) by CT of 3–8%, with conjugation efficiencies ranging from 54 to 100% and CT contents ranging from 130–318 μg/mg. The size of the obtained particles was 100–200 nm, and the ζ-potential varied from −22 to −28 mV. In vitro release studies at pH 7.4 demonstrated ultra-slow hydrolysis of amide bonds, with a CT release of 0.1–0.5% after 12 h; at pH 5.2, the hydrolysis rate slightly increased; however, it remained extremely low (1.5% of CT was released after 12 h). The antimicrobial activity of the conjugates depended on the DS. At DS 8%, the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of the conjugate was equal to the MIC of native CT (1 µg/mL); at DS of 3 and 5%, the MIC increased 8-fold. In addition, the developed systems reduced CT nephrotoxicity by 20–60%; they also demonstrated the ability to reduce bacterial lipopolysaccharide-induced inflammation in vitro. Based on the earlier experimental investigation of the existing GaAs pHEMT small‐signal modeling approaches and their applicability to different manufacturing processes, a combined automatic small‐signal noise model extraction technique, suitable for design of low‐noise and buffer amplifiers is proposed. The technique is based on the usage of measured S‐parameters of passive test structures and S‐parameters of the transistor in cold modes. Expressions are given for extraction of the intrinsic parameters of an equivalent circuit using linear regression. It is shown that the application of the proposed method allows extracting a small‐signal GaAs pHEMT model both in the probe‐tip reference planes and at on‐wafer calibration planes. The moving average algorithm was applied for preprocessing the results of measurements of the 50 Ohm noise figure during extraction of the noise model. The results of S‐parameters and noise figure simulation agree well with the measurements. The new technique was implemented as a plugin in a commercial EDA tool and enables to derive a ready‐to use small‐signal noise model from measured S‐parameters and 50 Ohm noise figure of a 0.15 μm GaAs pHEMT. 相似文献

The effect of temperature on the aggregation/dissociation behavior of interpolymer complexes based on poly(acrylic acid) and various nonionic polymers—poly(vinyl pyrrolidone), poly(ethylene oxide), poly(acrylamide), hydroxypropylcellulose, hydroxyethylcellulose, poly(vinyl methyl ether), poly(vinyl ether of ethyleneglycol), and vinyl ether of ethyleneglycol‐co‐vinyl butyl ether—has been studied in aqueous solutions. It was shown that nonionic polymers could be classified into two groups according to the stability of their polycomplexes with respect to temperature. The first group of nonionic polymers forms interpolymer complexes, which are stable and undergo further aggregation upon increase in temperature. The second group forms polycomplexes, which dissociate at higher temperatures. The electroslag remelting (ESR) process is widely used to produce high-quality ingots and billets for high-alloyed steels and alloys.Both the single-phase and three-phase alternating current diagram with bifilar and monofilar connection are in use for heavy ingot manufacturing.The numerical simulation of the three-phase bifilar circuit for the 120 t three-phase bifilar six-electrode ESR furnace at different variants of electric connection was presented and discussed.At the bifilar diagram of power supply,the geometrical location of electrodes in a mould holds critical importance for performances:the close location of bifilar pair electrodes provides the highest heat productivity,but the equidistant location of electrodes gives a much more uniform heat distribution.The monofilar mulit-electrode diagram of three-phase connection without phase shift shows the most uniform distribution of potential and heat generation as well as a favorable magnetic field that makes this kind the most promising for providing a high quality of heavy ingots. 相似文献
