These syndromes, however, seem to be biologic experiments of nature and present unique opportunities to study the various elements involved in the pathogenesis of arthritis. The circuit switches on only if the differential voltage applied across its input terminals is less than a set voltage; it switches off if the differential voltage is higher than the set value. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the association of polyarthritis and chromosome 22q11.2 deletions. METHODS: Eighty patients with chromosome 22q11.2 deletion syndrome followed up at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia were examined for evidence of arthropathy or arthritis. Patients with chromosome 22q11.2 deletion syndrome and polyarthritis underwent laboratory evaluations of immunologic function to determine the relationship of their immunodeficiency to the polyarthritis. RESULTS: The prevalence of polyarthritis in patients with chromosome 22q11.2 deletion syndrome was markedly increased over the prevalence of polyarticular juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (JRA) in the general population. All 3 patients with polyarthritis had evidence of impaired T cell function. Two of the patients with polyarthritis also had IgA deficiency. CONCLUSION: The chromosome 22q11.2 deletion syndrome represents a primary T cell disorder which can be associated with a JRA-like polyarthritis. All 3 patients with polyarthritis had evidence of more extensive immunoregulatory derangements than those typically seen in patients with chromosome 22q11.2 deletion, and these derangements may have predisposed to the development of polyarthritis. 相似文献

In this paper, a novel approach for using a function space Markov chain-like to model a nonlinear, highly time-varying load such as an electric arc furnace (EAF) is proposed. After identifying the state space, this approach generalizes the original state case (where state is an element being analyzed) to a function case (in which one analyzes the cycle-vector as an element) and uses the same fundamental idea of Markov-like modeling, thus making it more convenient and powerful for EAF current/voltage prediction in a distribution system. Several approximations for the cycle-vector are investigated to reduce the complexity of the formulation and the burden on computation. The predictions derived from fast Fourier transform (FFT) frequency decomposition method appear to give better results than other proposed approximations based on both accuracy and efficiency indexes. Such an approach is further extended for harmonic compensation with an active harmonic filter (AHF) in a distributed system. 相似文献

Selective laser sintering (SLS) is employed to fabricate a multifunctional polymer nanocomposite comprising Nylon‐12 reinforced with carbon black (CB) at a loading of 4% by weight. The heat distortion temperature (HDT), viscoelastic properties, and the electrical conductivity of this nanocomposite are compared to those obtained via extrusion injection molding (Ex‐IM). The HDT of the nanocomposites made by the two methods are found to be nearly identical. The electrical conductivity of the nanocomposite made by SLS is five orders of magnitude higher than that obtained through Ex‐IM. The storage modulus of the SLS‐processed nanocomposite is at least one order of magnitude higher than that of the nanocomposite made by Ex‐IM, for all the frequencies tested. The observed differences in properties and the effects of the processing methods on the polymer's molecular weight, its crystallization characteristics, and the dispersion of CB within the polymer matrix are investigated using X‐ray diffraction, differential scanning calorimetry, and scanning electron microscopy.
