QoS assessment of 3G video-phone calls by tracing watermarking exploiting the new colour space `YST?
Tracing watermarking has been recently proposed as a technique to provide a blind measure of the quality of service of the communication link, focusing on multimedia communication scenarios. 3G communication scenarios, where each customer transmits both voice and MPEG-4 video sequences in real time, have been considered. Typical video-phone call consists of close shots of speakers, framing their face in the foreground. For such particular application, a novel colour space (YST) is adopted to minimise the perceptual distortions on face coding introduced by watermarking. In the YST space, the luminance component (Y) is the same as in conventional YUV space, whereas the vectors S and T lie within the chrominance (UV) plane. The S (skin) component is a linear combination of U and V obtained as the 'average' chrominance estimated from an assorted set human faces to achieve a reasonable generalisation. The third component, T, is defined as orthogonal to the YS plane. The results show the benefits obtained in digital watermarking by the new representation against the conventional approach. In fact, the sensitivity of the YST representation outperforms the conventional one in terms of objective (mean square error, peak signal-to-noise ratio) and subjective (video-quality metrics) indicators. 相似文献

The oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane is carried out in short contact time reactors over Pt and LaMnO3 based catalysts supported on a large number of different ceramic substrates (45, 60 and 80 ppi foam monoliths and 200, 400, 600, 900 and 1200 cpsi honeycomb monoliths). Experimental results, obtained under the same conditions at varying the C2H6/O2 ratio, showed that the highest performance in terms of ethylene selectivity and yield is always attained on LaMnO3 catalysts. Furthermore, the results are significantly influenced by the morphology and cell density of the support, with 45 and 60 ppi foams and 400 and 600 cpsi honeycombs giving the best performance. The experimental results are explained by means of geometrical and fluid dynamic considerations on the support, and by means of a 2D mathematical model, which clearly indicates an optimal intermediate cell density for maximising ethylene selectivity and yield. 相似文献

In the literature, it has been shown that if a single-input single-output analytic nonlinear plant 1) has a well-defined relative degree and 2) is minimum-phase, it is possible to achieve asymptotic tracking for an open set of output trajectories containing the origin in CN [0, ∞), the space of N-times continuously differentiable functions taking values in R. When either of these sufficient conditions is not met, various authors have investigated approximate analytic solutions, discontinuous solutions and solutions for restricted sets of trajectories. Inductive high-frequency impedance behaviour is often observed in metal electrodeposition systems. This behaviour is typically attributed to equipment limitations or non-idealities in the cell set-up and electrical connections. Such instrumental artefacts would nevertheless be relevant to a frequency range which is expected to be well above that in which inductive behaviour is in fact observed (down to a few tens of Hz). In this paper some results on an acidic Au—Sn electrodeposition system are reported. Electrochemical impedance and potentiostatic transients were measured. These results suggest that the high-frequency inductive behaviour may be related to metal nucleation processes. A correlation is proposed between the pseudo-inductive potentiostatic nucleation transients and the pseudo-inductive behaviour of the impedance spectra. 相似文献

Our study investigated the effect of team knowledge on new product development (NPD). By investigating 207 NPD projects, we found that the declarative and procedural knowledge of the team and their use of IT had a positive influence on the team's knowledge base; and that the higher the functional diversity of the project team, the greater their overall knowledge. This paper presents an experimental characterization of the strain dependency of the complex modulus of bituminous mixtures for strain amplitude levels lower than about \(110~\upmu\mbox{m}/\mbox{m}\). A series of strain amplitude sweep tests are performed at different temperatures (8, 10, 12 and 14°C) and frequencies (0.3, 1, 3 and 10 Hz), during which complex modulus is monitored. For each combination of temperature and frequency, four maximum strain amplitudes are targeted (50, 75, 100 and \(110~\upmu\mbox{m}/\mbox{m}\)). For each of them, two series of 50 loading cycles are applied, respectively at decreasing and increasing strain amplitudes. Before each decreasing strain sweep and after each increasing strain sweep, 5 cycles are performed at constant maximum targeted strain amplitude.Experimental results show that the behavior of the studied material is strain dependent. The norm of the complex modulus decreases and phase angle increases with strain amplitude. Results are presented in Black and Cole–Cole plots, where characteristic directions of nonlinearity can be identified. Both the effects of nonlinearity in terms of the complex modulus variation and of the direction of nonlinearity in Black space seem to validate the time–temperature superposition principle with the same shift factors as for linear viscoelasticity.The comparison between results obtained during increasing and decreasing strain sweeps suggests the existence of another phenomenon occurring during cyclic loading, which appears to systematically induce a decrease of the norm of the complex modulus and an increase of the phase angle, regardless of the type of the strain sweep (increasing or decreasing). 相似文献

One approach to limiting disclosure risk in public-use microdata is to release multiply-imputed, partially synthetic data sets. These are data on actual respondents, but with confidential data replaced by multiply-imputed synthetic values. A mis-specified imputation model can invalidate inferences based on the partially synthetic data, because the imputation model determines the distribution of synthetic values. We present a practical method to generate synthetic values when the imputer has only limited information about the true data generating process. We combine a simple imputation model (such as regression) with density-based transformations that preserve the distribution of the confidential data, up to sampling error, on specified subdomains. We demonstrate through simulations and a large scale application that our approach preserves important statistical properties of the confidential data, including higher moments, with low disclosure risk. 相似文献

In this paper, the problem of robust relative positioning between a 6-DOF robot camera and an object of interest is considered. Assuming weak perspective camera model and local linear approximation of visible object's surface, an image-based state space representation of robot camera–object interaction model is derived, based on the matrix of 2-D affine transformations. Dynamic extension of the visual model permits to estimate 3-D parameters directly as functions of state variables. The proposed nonlinear robust control law ensures asymptotic stability but at image singularities, assuming exact model and state measurements. In the presence of bounded uncertainties, under appropriate choice of control gains, ultimate boundedness of the state error is also formally proved.
