Layered double hydroxides (LDHs), a newly emerging 2D host material, consist of cationic brucite-like layers and exchangeable interlayer anions. In this work, the morphology and dispersion of LDH particles in LDH/Nylon 66 (salt) nanocomposites has been investigated using focused ion beam (FIB) techniques, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The FIB images show that LDHs are present in the polymer phase dispersed to different degrees, with partial intercalation, exfoliation, and aggregation all being observed. The most even dispersion was achieved in nanocomposites with the lowest loading (0.5 wt % LDH). Residual tactoids and agglomerates were most common in the samples made with the highest concentration of LDHs studied here (5 wt %). The dispersion observed using FIB was consistent with TEM and XRD analysis, yet this technique had significant benefits in terms of time and simplicity over these “conventional” technologies. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The present work reports the capacity of lyophilised Saccharomyces cerevisiae G37 and Schizosaccharomyces pombe 936 to adsorb 4-ethylphenol, a compound with a negative impact on the sensorial profile of wine. Using SPME-GC/MS, a strong correlation was detected between the quantity of yeast added and the reduction of the initial wine 4-ethylphenol concentration. The adsorption kinetics for each yeast was determined. The impact of this treatment on wine anthocyanin concentration and chromatic properties was investigated by UV–Vis and HPLC–PDAD/ESI–MS analysis. Large reductions in the anthocyanin concentration were detected when effective 4-ethylphenol-reducing quantities of lyophilised yeast were used.  相似文献

The degradation of seven acidic drugs and two metabolites during chlorination was investigated by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS). A triple-quadrupole (QqQ) system was used to follow the time course of the pharmaceuticals and by-products, while a quadrupole time-of-flight (Q-TOF) system was also used for the identification of the by-products. Under strong chlorination conditions (10 mg/L Cl2, 24 h), only four of the target compounds were significantly degraded: salicylic acid, naproxen, diclofenac and indomethacine. The degradation kinetics of these four compounds were investigated at different concentrations of chlorine, bromide and pH by means of a Box-Behnken experimental design. Depending on these factors, measured pseudo-first order half-lives were in the ranges: 23-573 h for salicylic acid, 13-446 min for naproxen, 5-328 min for diclofenac and 0.4-13.4 min for indomethacine. Also, it was observed that chlorine concentration was the overall most significant factor, followed by the bromide concentration (except for indomethacine), resulting in increased degradation kinetics as they are increased. The degradation path of salicylic acid, naproxen and diclofenac consisted of aromatic substitution of one or two hydrogens by chlorine and/or bromide. Moreover, for diclofenac, two other by-products corresponding to a decarboxylation/hydroxylation pathway from the monohalogenated products were also identified. On the other hand, indomethacine degradation did not lead to halogenation products but to oxidation ones. The investigation of these by-products in real samples by LC-MS/MS (QqQ) showed that the halogenated derivates of salicylic acid occurred in all the drinking water and wastewater samples analysed.  相似文献

Three new star‐shaped hole‐transporting materials (HTMs) incorporating benzotripyrrole, benzotrifuran, and benzotriselenophene central cores endowed with three‐armed triphenylamine moieties ( BTP‐1 , BTF‐1 , and BTSe‐1 , respectively) are designed, synthesized, and implemented in perovskite solar cells (PSCs). The impact that the heteroatom‐containing central scaffold has on the electrochemical and photophysical properties, as well as on the photovoltaic performance, is systematically investigated and compared with their sulfur‐rich analogue ( BTT‐3 ). The new HTMs exhibit suitable highest‐occupied molecular orbitals (HOMO) levels regarding the valence band of the perovskite, which ensure efficient hole extraction at the perovskite/HTM interface. The molecular structures of BTF‐1 , BTT‐3 , and BTSe‐1 are fully elucidated by single‐crystal X‐ray crystallography as toluene solvates. The optimized (FAPbI3)0.85(MAPbBr3)0.15‐based perovskite solar cells employing the tailor‐made, chalcogenide‐based HTMs exhibit remarkable power conversion efficiencies up to 18.5%, which are comparable to the devices based on the benchmark spiro‐OMeTAD. PSCs with BTP‐1 exhibit a more limited power conversion efficiency of 15.5%, with noticeable hysteresis. This systematic study indicates that chalcogenide‐based derivatives are promising HTM candidates to compete efficiently with spiro‐OMeTAD.  相似文献

In this work we propose a modification to the conventional lumped equivalent circuit model for integrated inductors. Also the widely used parametric model is modified. The proposed models expand the frequency range where the integrated inductor behavior is accurately predicted. They are useful in developing automatic tools to assist the designers in selecting and automatically laying-out integrated inductors [1]. This work is based on measurements from integrated inductors fabricated in a standard silicon process.  相似文献

In this article we present two contributions to the study of coaxial waveguide structures. First, we present an efficient and accurate technique to evaluate the modes in the coaxial waveguides; second, we analyze junctions involving coaxial and circular waveguides using the multimode equivalent network representation. Phenolic compounds have a high importance in olive oil because of their effect on shelf life and sensory properties. This study reports on the HPLC profiles of the phenolic compounds of virgin olive oils obtained from Arbequina olives from the harvesting in a super‐intensive orchard under a linear irrigation system. In addition, phenolic content, carotenoid and chlorophyllic pigments, and oxidative stability were analyzed. Total phenol content and 3,4‐DHPEA‐EDA increased up to a maximum throughout the ripening process. The simple phenols tyrosol and hydroxytyrosol acetate increased throughout the ripening process, however, there was not found a clear trend in hydroxytyrosol content. Minor constituents such as vanillic acid and p‐coumaric acid increased up to a maximum and then decreased, since vanillin decreased progressively throughout the time of harvest. 3,4‐DHPEA‐EDA and lignans were present in considerable amounts in the studied samples, while oleuropein aglycone was present in a low amount. Total phenol content and oil stability followed the same trend throughout the study, so a very good correlation was established between them. Total secoiridoids and, specifically, 3,4‐DHPEA‐EDA seemed to be responsible for oil stability. The pigment content decreased during ripening, and not a positive correlation was found between pigments and oil stability. Practical applications : The results can be used to determine the best time for harvesting in order to obtain olive oils with different phenols and pigment contents. This is important for sensory characteristics of the olive oils and also for olive oil stability.  相似文献
