We study the problem of designing state‐feedback controllers to track time‐varying state trajectories that may exhibit jumps. Both plants and controllers considered are modeled as hybrid dynamical systems, which are systems with both continuous and discrete dynamics, given in terms of a flow set, a flow map, a jump set, and a jump map. Using recently developed tools for the study of stability in hybrid systems, we recast the tracking problem as the task of asymptotically stabilizing a set, the tracking set, and derive conditions for the design of state‐feedback tracking controllers with the property that the jump times of the plant coincide with those of the given reference trajectories. The resulting tracking controllers guarantee that solutions of the plant starting close to the reference trajectory stay close to it and that the difference between each solution of the controlled plant and the reference trajectory converges to zero asymptotically. Constructive conditions for tracking control design in terms of LMIs are proposed for a class of hybrid systems with linear maps and input‐triggered jumps. The bone ingrowth potential of trabecular-like implant surfaces produced by either selective laser melting (SLM) or electron beam melting (EBM), with or without a biomimetic calciumphosphate coating, was examined in goats. For histological analysis and histomorphometry of bone ingrowth depth and bone implant contact specimens were implanted in the femoral condyle of goats. For mechanical push out tests to analyse mechanical implant fixation specimens were implanted in the iliac crest. The follow up periods were 4 (7 goats) and 15 weeks (7 goats). Both the SLM and EBM produced trabecular-like structures showed a variable bone ingrowth after 4 weeks. After 15 weeks good bone ingrowth was found in both implant types. Irrespective to the follow up period, and the presence of a coating, no histological differences in tissue reaction around SLM and EBM produced specimens was found. Histological no coating was detected at 4 and 15 weeks follow up. At both follow up periods the mechanical push out strength at the bone implant interface was significantly lower for the coated SLM specimens compared to the uncoated SLM specimens. The expected better ingrowth characteristics and mechanical fixation strength induced by the coating were not found. The lower mechanical strength of the coated specimens produced by SLM is a remarkable result, which might be influenced by the gross morphology of the specimens or the coating characteristics, indicating that further research is necessary.  相似文献

In this paper a low bit rate subband coding scheme for image sequences is described. Typically, the scheme is based on temporal DPCM in combination with an intraframe subband coder. In contrast to previous work, however, the subbands are divided into blocks onto which conditional replenishment is applied, while a bit allocation algorithm divides the bits among the blocks assigned for replenishment. A solution is given for the ‘dirty window’ effect by setting blocks to zero that were assigned to be replenished but received no bits. The effect of motion compensation and the extension to color images are discussed as well. Finally, several image sequence coding results are given for a bit rate of 300 kbit/s.  相似文献

Studies on cholecystokinin (CCK) receptors in rat pancreas are usually performed on homogenates. Using storage phosphor autoradiography, a new imaging technique with a high sensitivity and large linear dynamic range, we visualized and characterized CCK receptors in tissue sections of normal rat pancreas. The density of CCK receptors in pancreatic tissue sections from 10 normal rats appeared to be unevenly distributed and variable in serial sections. The binding of labeled CCK-8 was markedly inhibited by CCK-8 and CCK-A receptor antagonists, but it was only weakly affected by gastrin and CCK-B receptor antagonists. At room temperature the CCK-8 dose-inhibition curve was fitted by a two-site model: one with a high-affinity but low-capacity site and another with a low-affinity but high-capacity site. The CCK-8 dose-inhibition curve showed that the inhibition of the variable high-density receptors took place at a low concentration of CCK-8, while the diffuse low-density receptors were inhibited at the high concentration of 1 microM CCK-8. Binding of labeled CCK-8 at 37 degrees C was homogeneous with a low affinity and comprised only 4% of that found at room temperature. In summary, an uneven density of CCK receptors in the rat exocrine pancreas was observed and attributed to the variable expression of high-affinity CCK receptors in pancreatic acini.  相似文献

The properties of segmented‐copolymer‐based H‐bonding and non‐H‐bonding crystallisable segments and poly(tetramethylene oxide) segments were studied. The crystallisable segments were monodisperse in length and the non‐hydrogen‐bonding segments were made of tetraamidepiperazineterephthalamide (TPTPT). The polymers were characterised by DSC, FT‐IR, SAXS and DMTA. The mechanical properties were studied by tensile, compression set and tensile set measurements. The TPTPT segmented copolymers displayed low glass transition temperatures (Tg, ?70 °C), good low‐temperature properties, moderate moduli (G′ ≈ 10–33 MPa) and high melting temperatures (185–220 °C). However, as compared to H‐bonded segments, both the modulus and the yield stress were relatively low.

A novel two-dimensional subband coding technique is presented that can be applied to images as well as speech. A frequency-band decomposition of the image is carried out by means of 2D separable quadrature mirror filters, which split the image spectrum into 16 equal-rate subbands. These 16 parallel subband signals are regarded as a 16-dimensional vector source and coded as such using vector quantization. In the asymptotic case of high bit rates, a theoretical analysis yields that a lower bound to the gain is attainable by choosing this approach over scalar quantization of each subband with an optimal bit allocation. It is shown that vector quantization in this scheme has several advantages over coding the subbands separately. Experimental results are given, and it is shown the scheme has a performance that is comparable to that of more complex coding techniques  相似文献

Poly(tetramethylene oxide)‐based poly(ether ester amide)s with monodisperse tetraamide segments were synthesized. The tetraamide segment was based on adipic acid, terephthalic acid, and hexamethylenediamine. The synthesis method of the copolymers and the influence of the tetraamide concentration, which was varied between 3 and 44 wt %, were studied. The copolymers were characterized by differential scanning calorimetry and temperature‐dependent Fourier transform infrared, small‐angle X‐ray scattering, atomic force microscopy, and dynamic mechanical thermal analysis. The monodisperse tetraamide segments crystallized fast, forming crystalline ribbons with high aspect ratios, and the crystallinity of the tetraamide segments in the copolymers was typically 90%. The glass‐transition temperature of the poly(tetramethylene oxide) phase was low (?65 to ?70°C), and the modulus in the plateau region of the copolymers was virtually temperature‐independent. With increasing content of crystallizable amide segments in the copolymer, the storage modulus at room temperature increased from 1 to 102 MPa. This strong increase in the modulus with the tetraamide content could be approximated with a model for fiber‐reinforced polymers. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Appl Polym Sci 2007  相似文献

The elastic properties of thermoplastic elastomers based on poly(tetramethylene oxide) and monodisperse amide hard segments (HS) were studied in compression and tensile mode as well as with stress relaxation (SR) measurements. For these copolymers the compression set values were low and increased with the modulus and temperature. At low strains (<50%) the tensile set (TS) values were low and the strain recovered almost completely with time. Furthermore, the TS values increased with strain, due to a deformation of the crystallites and a strain hardening of the polyether segments. During the SR measurements, two processes were observed: a fast initial decay in the first 10 s followed by a relaxation process that was dependant on the logarithm of time. The initial decay during the first seconds increased with the modulus of the copolymers and with the applied strain. The SR values for the second process, normalised to the stress at 100 s, were independent of the strain (within the range of 25–300%) and only little dependant on the modulus of the system. In comparison to the literature data the copolymers with the monodisperse HS displayed improved elastic properties and low SR values.  相似文献

New technologies, such as selective electron beam melting, allow to create complex interface structures to enhance bone ingrowth in cementless implants. The efficacy of such structures can be tested in animal experiments. Although animal studies provide insight into the biological response of new structures, it remains unclear how ingrowth depth is related to interface strength. Theoretically, there could be a threshold of ingrowth, above which the interface strength does not further increase. To test the relationship between depth and strength we performed a finite element study on micro models with simulated uncoated and hydroxyapatite (HA) coated surfaces. We examined whether complete ingrowth is necessary to obtain a maximal interface strength. An increase in bone ingrowth depth did not always enhance the bone–implant interface strength. For the uncoated specimens a plateau was reached at 1,500 μm of ingrowth depth. For the specimens with a simulated HA coating, a bone ingrowth depth of 500 μm already yielded a substantial interface strength, and deeper ingrowth did not enhance the interface strength considerably. These findings may assist in optimizing interface morphology (its depth) and in judging the effect of bone ingrowth depth on interface strength.  相似文献
