Summary The oblique flow of a viscous fluid impinging on a flat wall with suction or blowing is studied. It is found that when suction is applied the fluid penetrates the wall while blowing causes the shifting of the stagnation point. It is also found that this shifting depends upon the magnitude of the blowing. 相似文献

Summary In this work we develop a technique, based on the hodograph method, for the study of steady plane, viscous, incompressible constantly inclined MHD flows.The equation describing the diffusion of magnetic field is used to write the magnetic field vector in terms of the velocity vector field and the angle between the two vector fields. The hodograph method (and its modifications) is applied to reduce the problem to that of determining the Legendre transform of the stream function. The resulting partial differential equation is studied for several flow problems to illustrate the advantages of the theory.This paper also employs a similar approach as the above to study flows in the magnetograph plane. 相似文献

In this paper we present a new algorithm to estimate the 2-D direction of arrival (DOA) of narrowband sources lying in the far field of the array. The array consists of matched co-directional triplets, and can be considered as an extension of the 1-D ESPRIT scenario to 2-D. The proposed approach is simple and direct and does not require a search procedure or initialization. Existing algorithms require a search to match the correct elevation and azimuth angles and are computationally more expensive. This technique automatically pairs the azimuth and elevation angles by marking them. The computational complexity is twice that of 1-D ESPRIT. Simulation results and comparisons with other existing algorithms are presented to demonstrate the performance of the proposed technique. 相似文献

This paper describes a new logic style called Power Rail Logic (PRL), which is compatible with direct-coupled FET logic (DCFL) circuits. Multiplexors, latches, flip-flops, and exclusive-OR gates can be built using this logic style. Compared to DCFL, PRL uses fewer transistors, has larger noise margins, and up to 40% lower power-delay products. A test chip containing 32-b barrel shifters designed in DCFL and in PRL was successfully fabricated and tested. Test results are given for both circuits 相似文献

Breast abscesses in nonlactating women are very uncommon. Rarely have cases been reported in which coagulase-negative staphylococci have been isolated in pure culture. We describe a 67-year-old patient who had such an abscess. Specimens obtained by fine needle aspiration, incision and drainage, and biopsy of the breast mass all showed acute inflammation and many gram-positive cocci on gram stain and histologic examination; cultures of all specimens yielded many coagulase-negative staphylococci. The patient responded well to incision and drainage and therapy with antibiotics. 相似文献

In the current research, rotary ultrasonic machining was used to drill holes in quartz material. The effect of different RUM parameters namely tool feed rate, tool rotational speed and ultrasonic power on material removal rate and surface roughness has been studied experimentally. The response surface methodology with central composite design has been used to design the experiments. From the desirability approach, the optimum setting of the rotary ultrasonic machining parameters was found to be the tool rotational speed of 4968 rpm, feed rate of 0.55 mm/min, and ultrasonic power of 80% for achieving the maximum MRR of 0.2135 mm3/s and minimum SR of 0.3685 μm. Microstructure analysis of the machined surface was performed by using scanning electron microscopy in order to study the mechanisms of material removal under the different settings of RUM parameters. It was observed that at very low feed (0.08 mm/min) and high rpm (5681) the material is predominantly removed by plastic deformation whereas at high feed (0.92 mm/min) and low rpm (2318) the material is removed by brittle fracture. 相似文献
