We consider the problem of constructing partial state observers for discrete-time linear systems with unknown inputs. Specifically, for any given system, we develop a design procedure that characterizes the set of all linear functionals of the system state that can be reconstructed through a linear observer with a given delay. By treating the delay as a design parameter, we allow greater flexibility in estimating state functionals, and are able to obtain a procedure that directly produces the corresponding observer parameters. Our technique is also applicable to continuous-time systems by replacing delayed outputs with differentiated outputs.  相似文献

The NP-hard problem of scheduling jobs on unrelated parallel machines, in the presence of machine-dependent and sequence-dependent setup times, with the objective of minimizing the makespan, is considered. A variable neighborhood descent search algorithm, hybridized with mathematical programming elements, is presented and its performance is evaluated on a large set of benchmark problem instances. The extensive computational experiments show that the proposed algorithm outperforms previously proposed methods in terms of solution quality as well as computation time.  相似文献

This paper presents the design, implementation and performance evaluation of a coarse-grain dynamically reconfigurable FPGA platform for multi-service edge and access network devices. The platform consists of two MicroBlaze RISC processors and a number of hardware co-processors used for the processing of packet payloads (Data Encryption Standard (DES) and Lempel-Ziv Compression). The co-processors can be connected either directly to the processors or using a shared bus. The functionality of the co-processors is dynamically reconfigured to meet the requirements of the network workload. The system has been implemented on the Xilinx Virtex II Pro platform and the network traces from real passive measurements have been used for performance evaluation. The use of dynamically reconfigurable co-processors for network applications shows that the performance speedup versus a static version varies from 12% to 35% in the best case and from 10% to 15% on average, depending on the network traffic fluctuation.  相似文献

Polyamide‐6 (PA‐6)/boehmite alumina (BA) nanocomposites were prepared via direct melt compounding. Structural, thermal and dielectric properties of ‘as‐received’ (including moisture) and ‘dried’ (thermally treated) specimens were examined. The BA nanofiller was homogeneously dispersed in the PA‐6 matrix. XRD and FTIR revealed that crystallization of PA‐6 in the γ phase was favoured over α phase with increasing BA content. The crystallinity index (CI) and the percentage of α and γ phases were also evaluated. Dried specimens exhibited a lower CI than as‐received specimens while the CI decreased with the addition of filler. Broadband dielectric spectroscopy revealed the presence of γ, β and α relaxations, the Maxwell–Wagner–Sillars effect and the contribution of conductivity relaxation in the as‐received samples. The drying procedure unmasked a double feature of both β and α modes. The results of the complementary techniques were analysed and the effects of moisture and/or the incorporation of BA nanofiller on the microstructure of the PA‐6 matrix are disclosed. © 2019 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

In many emerging security applications, a system designer frequently needs to ensure that a certain property of a given system (that may reveal important details about the system’s operation) be kept secret (opaque) to outside observers (eavesdroppers). Motivated by such applications, several researchers have formalized, analyzed, and described methods to verify notions of opacity in discrete event systems of interest. This paper introduces and analyzes a notion of opacity in systems that can be modeled as probabilistic finite automata or hidden Markov models. We consider a setting where a user needs to choose a specific hidden Markov model (HMM) out of m possible (different) HMMs, but would like to “hide” the true system from eavesdroppers, by not allowing them to have an arbitrary level of confidence as to which system has been chosen. We describe necessary and sufficient conditions (that can be checked with polynomial complexity), under which the intruder cannot distinguish the true HMM, namely, the intruder cannot achieve a level of certainty about its decision, which is above a certain threshold that we can a priori compute.  相似文献

During last decade the scientific research on Unmanned Aerial Vehicless (UAVs) increased spectacularly and led to the design of multiple types of aerial platforms. The major challenge today is the development of autonomously operating aerial agents capable of completing missions independently of human interaction. To this extent, visual sensing techniques have been integrated in the control pipeline of the UAVs in order to enhance their navigation and guidance skills. The aim of this article is to present a comprehensive literature review on vision based applications for UAVs focusing mainly on current developments and trends. These applications are sorted in different categories according to the research topics among various research groups. More specifically vision based position-attitude control, pose estimation and mapping, obstacle detection as well as target tracking are the identified components towards autonomous agents. Aerial platforms could reach greater level of autonomy by integrating all these technologies onboard. Additionally, throughout this article the concept of fusion multiple sensors is highlighted, while an overview on the challenges addressed and future trends in autonomous agent development will be also provided.  相似文献

The sustainable evolution of the urban water system requires the recognition of uncertainty embedded in both climate and human behaviour. A challenge that water managers and policy makers need to tackle, is to understand the way the society’s water demand behaviour is affected. The inaccuracy between attitudes and behaviours and the cognitive association of water use to living standards, hinders the projection of society’s response to management’s measures. Thus, it is necessary to identify leverage points, where water demand management policies should aim their efforts. This work presents two parts of a social research held in Athens: quantitative questionnaire gathering information regarding the domestic water demand attitudes and behaviours; and a series of qualitative interviews aimed at exploring in-depth, the domestic water use attitudes, and behaviours. This work presents the design and results of both methods and the combination of the quantitative results with insights from the qualitative work.  相似文献
