The subject of this paper is to compare the results of the different calculations performed by the benchmark participants in the framework of the OECD Lower Head Failure (OLHF) program. The benchmark consists in the finite element (FE) calculation or in analytical calculations of the mechanical behavior of the OLHF-1 experiment. Seven participants from six countries and seven companies or organizations (AVN, VTT, GRS, UJV, SNL, IPSN and CEA) have performed the benchmark.The OLHF experiment program extends the NRC-sponsored SNL LHF program (NUREG/CR-5582) completed in 1998: these experiments where intended to simulate the thermal/mechanical loads to a 1/4.85-scale model of a reactor pressure vessel. The pressure vessel material (SA533B1 steel) used in these experiments is prototypic of reactor PWR vessel material and has been well characterized by material property testing as part of this program. The OLHF tests advance the results of the previous testing program by examining the effects of large temperature differences across the vessel wall. Large temperature differences in excess of 150–400 K are more prototypic of accident conditions.Most of the participants performed 2-D axisymmetric analyses and doesn’t study the crack opening. The global mechanical behaviour of OLHF-1 experiment is well represented but prediction of the maximum vertical displacement is not in good agreement with the experimental value. Failure time and location are in quite good agreement with experimental results but large discrepancies are observed on the mode of failure: creep or plasticity. To improve predictions, more investigation and work is needed on the choice of the failure criteria and failure mode.  相似文献

Recent progress in advanced video communication services and multimedia applications is grounded on novel human machine interfaces, improved usability, and user friendliness driven by user centric research and development. In this paper, we describe a complete system concept and algorithmic details of an example application within this area. The key features of the system are vision and speech based interfaces, which are used to animate an avatar for an audio-visual representation of a communication partner. The system is applied in two application scenarios, namely video chat and customer care services. Both applications are mass-market oriented and therefore careful design and development of robust and supporting user interfaces are required. The presented approach is integrated into a complete real-time prototype system, which is permanently demonstrated in the showcase at the head quarter of Deutsche Telekom, Bonn, Germany.  相似文献

A prospective study of a hybrid total knee arthroplasty (TKA) with an uncemented femoral component and cemented tibial and patellar components was performed to combine the advantage of a press-fit femur while avoiding the problems in uncemented tibial and patellar implants. A total of 329 posterior cruciate-preserving TKA were studied at an average of 4.7 years after surgery: 84% of the knees had at most mild or occasional pain, 68% had good or excellent knee scores, and 62% could walk more than 1000 m. The function scores were 40% good or excellent in this collective, with an average age of 69.4 years at surgery. The component position and alignment were biomechanically correct. Radiolucent lines were observed regularly at the edges of the tibial and femoral components. There were no revisions for aseptic loosening. Hybrid TKA provides good results comparable to cemented TKA.  相似文献

Using a double-beam technique, a laser flowthrough microphotometer is described that allows internal calibrated size measurements of particles and suspension without the need of reference measurements. Nonspherical particles are oriented in a single file and their longest axes are measured by light absorption analysis. Additional information may be derived from light scattering. The size range is limited only by the flow system, and spans from 2 to 300 microm within a single measurement at the present design. Particle and cell analysis can exceed the rate of 100 000/s. Latex microspheres were analyzed and the data compared to that from microscopic examination. An example of the cell classification obtainable is given for stored human blood.  相似文献

During anaesthesia controlled hypotension -- induced by sodium nitroprusside -- was used in 60 patients undergoing intraocular anterior segment surgery. The advantages of this procedure are that the iris-lens diaphragma and the vitreous body have a lesser tendency to protrude than with other techniques despite even more superficial anaesthesia.  相似文献

Computer programs for high resolution slit-scan chromosome analysis in flow cytometry are introduced. A modular program library, SCAN, contains programs for single and dual parameter data acquisition, correction of recorded profiles and computation of histograms of various parameters. Using a minicomputer system, data acquisition is programmed in assembler to realize high input rates and real-time histogram calculation. Software for the processing of recorded profiles has been written in FORTRAN and allows extensions or alterations for different objectives. A sample run recording bicolor fluorescence profiles from metaphase chromosomes demonstrates the main features of the software.  相似文献

We present a flexible system for high‐quality three‐dimensional reconstruction of dynamic real‐world objects based on a modular multi‐camera capture setup. The proposed algorithmic pipeline aims at the acquisition and digitization of natural and realistic representations of real people that can be easily integrated into augmented and virtual reality applications. In this context, we discuss the reduction of mesh complexity as one of the key challenges for visualizing reconstructed three‐dimensional content with augmented and virtual reality glasses and demonstrate different fields of application.  相似文献
