New resonant scatterer for measuring microwave magnetic-field distributions

A new resonant scatterer for measuring magnetic fields at microwave frequencies has been developed. This scatterer has the shape of a small slot antenna and is responsive only to the magnetic field.     

Determination of antenna radiation pattern from frequency-domain measurements in reflecting environment

A method for eliminating the influence of unwanted reflections from the environment on measurements of antenna radiation patterns is described. The measurements have been taken at discrete frequencies in a sufficiently large frequency band. From these data, the free-space radiation pattern can be computed by convolution in the frequency domain. Before this, a function for compensating the frequency characteristics of the test range is determined.
