This paper develops a method for simultaneously designing the power stage and controller for a switching power supply. The method utilizes a numerical optimization procedure, which facilitates computer-aided design. It is found that better performance can be achieved than with a traditional two-step design process, where the power stage and controller are designed sequentially. In this article, the electrodeposition process of Cu-Sn alloy powders from tripolyphosphate (TPP)-based electrolytes was investigated as a function of deposition parameters. The effects of deposition parameters such as current density, electrolyte composition (Cu/Sn mole ratio), mechanical stirring speed, and temperature on the Cu content of alloy powder and cathodic current efficiency were evaluated using the response surface methodology (RSM). The empirical models developed in terms of deposition parameters were found to be statistically adequate to describe the process responses. The study revealed that as far as the copper content was concerned in the alloyed powders, all parameters selected had positive correlations. However, a high stirring speed and low current density led to a greater current efficiency. The morphology and chemical composition of the electrodeposited Cu-Sn alloy powders were investigated using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and inductively coupled plasma (ICP) analysis. An SEM analysis showed that the powder morphology was affected considerably by the cathodic current density and stirring speed.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Olive oil production is an important economical activity in the Aegean region of Turkey. However, the effluents of the olive oil producing mills with their high organic loads and toxic compounds are causing serious environmental problems. The anaerobic biological treatment of olive mill wastewater (OMWW) using the treatment plants of the regional industries could be a method of choice and within the scope of this study floccular and granular sludges were investigated in batch mode for their success in the treatment of OMWW while producing biogas. The major limitation of this treatment is the inhibition of methanogenic bacteria by the phenolic compounds in OMWW. Thus an integrated solution was suggested in which a pre‐treatment step (dephenolization) was also introduced before biological step. RESULTS: The effluents of 27 olive mills out of 47 were found to have total phenolics (TP) less than 3 g L?1 and could be treated anaerobically after simple dilution. The biogas production for the untreated OMWW was higher for floccular sludge than for the granular sludge (68.5 mL and 45.7 mL respectively). Combined pre‐treatment experiments, first coagulation with polyaluminum chloride, followed by flocculation with cationic polyelectrolyte and finally Fenton's oxidation, could remove 80% of TP and 95% of the total suspended solids. CONCLUSION: OMWW having TP values less than 3 g L?1 can be treated anaerobically using floccular sludge after simple dilution and biogas can be produced. Cig kofte is a traditional Turkish food containing raw ground meat. Samples inoculated with Escherichia coli O157:H7 were irradiated at 0.5–6 kGy with a 60Co source and stored at 4 and 25 °C. Total aerobic mesophilic count decreased with increasing irradiation doses, D10 value was 0.83 kGy. Escherichia coli O157:H7 count decreased from 5.1 log10 CFU g?1 to an undetectable level (<1 log10 CFU g?1) after 1‐day storage at 4 °C following irradiation at 2 kGy, D10‐value was 0.29 kGy. Irradiation doses up to 2 kGy did not affect sensory quality after 1 day. There was colour loss in samples irradiated at 2 kGy or above and stored for longer periods. Storage of the irradiated products at abused temperature must be avoided for safety assurance. Irradiation at 2 kGy has a great potential for extending the shelf‐life of cig kofte and assuring safety by decreasing the number of E. coli O157:H7 and other bacteria, but further studies with suitable package designs are needed to decrease quality degradation during extended storage.  相似文献

The adsorptive removal of boron from aqueous solution by using the neutralized red mud was studied in batch equilibration technique. The effects of pH, adsorbent dosage, initial boron concentration and contact time on the adsorption were investigated. The experiments demonstrated that boron removal was of a little fluctuation in pH range of 2-7 and it takes 20 min to attain equilibrium. The adsorption data was analyzed using the Langmuir and the Freundlich isotherm models and it was found that the Freundlich isotherm model represented the measured sorption data well.  相似文献

This paper demonstrates the basin/reservoir system integration as a decision support system for short term operation policy of a multipurpose dam. It is desired to re-evaluate and improve the current operational regulation of the reservoir with respect to water supply and flood control especially for real time operation. The most innovative part of this paper is the development of a decision support system (DSS) by the integration of a hydrological (HEC-HMS) and reservoir simulation model (HEC-ResSim) to guide the professional practitioners during the real time operation of a reservoir to meet water elevation and flood protection objectives. In this context, a hybrid operating strategy to retain maximum water elevation is built by shifting between daily and hourly decisions depending on real time runoff forecasts. First, a daily hydro-meteorological rule based reservoir simulation model (HRM) is developed for both water supply and flood control risk. Then, for the possibility of a flood occurrence, hourly flood control rule based reservoir simulation model (FRM) is used. The DSS is applied on Yuvac?k Dam Basin which has a flood potential due to its steep topography, snow potential, mild and rainy climate in Turkey. Numerical weather prediction based runoff forecasts computed by a hydrological model together with developed reservoir operation policy are put into actual practice for real time operation of the reservoir for March – June, 2012. According to the evaluations, proposed DSS is found to be practical and valuable to overcome subjective decisions about reservoir storage.  相似文献

Total lipid content and fatty acid composition were determined for wild and cultivated gilthead seabream and sea bass. Fatty acid analyses were carried out by gas chromatography‐ mass spectrometry. Respective total lipid content of flesh in cultivated gilthead seabream and sea bass were 1.7‐5.0‐times those of wild samples. Palmitic acid (C16:0) and oleic acid (C18:1n‐9) were the major fatty acids respectively among the saturated fatty acids and monounsaturated fatty acids of each fish species. It is noteworthy that both linoleic acid (C18:2n‐6) and arachidonic acid (C20:4n‐6) were predominant in total n‐6 polyunsaturated fatty acids in the respective cultivated and wild types. Eicosapentaenoic acid (C20:5n‐3) and docosahexaenoic acid (C22:6n‐3) amounts were significantly higher in flesh of cultivated fish than in wild fish.  相似文献

Polymerization of resin-based materials leads to temperature rise, caused by the exothermic nature of the reaction and energy absorbed during polymerization. This temperature rise is influenced by intensity of light, composition of resins, and type of light source. This study evaluated thermal insulating properties of four photo-polymerizing pulp-capping agents in primary and permanent teeth. Roots of 80 primary and permanent teeth were removed. Class-I cavities were prepared on the occlusal surfaces of teeth. Materials used were TheraCal LC, Biner LC, ACTIVA BioACTIVE, and Calciplus LC and light sources were 3 M-Elipar and VALO LED. Temperature rise was measured using a J-type thermocouple. Data were statistically evaluated using ANOVA and Tukey`s tests (p = 0.05). VALO LED exhibited significantly lower temperature rise in all groups and temperature rise in primary teeth was significantly higher with all experimental materials (p < 0.05). The highest temperature change was observed in the Biner LC group (3.82 ± 0.58) and the lowest change in the Activa-BioACTIVE group (1.78 ± 0.34). The VALO LED light source caused a significantly lower increase in pulpal temperature compared with the 3 M-Elipar source. All tested materials and light sources maintained pulpal temperature under safe limits, with temperature increases not exceeding 5.5 °C.  相似文献

The β-galactosidases belong to the class of hydrolytic enzymes and have been used as lactose hyrolysis. The enzyme is used in reducing lactose milk production, an outstanding industrial product used by a large lactoseintolerant population. This is the first detailed report of some characteristics of β-galactosidase and the gene encoding β-galactosidase in Thermus oshimai DSM 12092. The growth rate (μ, 1/h), and the doubling time (tD, h) for T. oshimai grown both in shaking flasks and in a bioreactor were determined. The optimal temperature and pH for β-galactosidase were determined as 75°C and 7.4, respectively. This enzyme was thermostable and was retained by more than 70% at 90°C for 3 h. The β-galactosidase from T. oshimai DSM 12092 was more stable in basic pH and Zn2+ was the most effective divalent cation. Also, 2 steps of purification consisting of ammonium sulfate precipitation and gel filtration were employed and purified 32-fold.  相似文献
