As the characteristics of insulated gate transistors [like metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors and insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs)] have been constantly improving, their utilization in power converters operating at higher and higher frequencies has become more common. However, this, in turn, leads to fast current and voltage transitions that generate large amounts of electromagnetic interferences over wide frequency ranges. In this paper, a new active gate voltage control (AGVC) method is presented. It allows us to control the values of di/dt at turn-on and dv/dt at turn-off for insulated gate power transistors, by acting directly on the input gate voltage shape. In an elementary switching cell, it enables us to strongly reduce over-current generated by the reverse recovery of the free-wheeling diode at turn-on, and oscillations of the output voltage across the transistor at turn-off. In the following sections, the AGVC in open and closed-loop for IGBT is presented, and its performance is compared with that of a more conventional method, i.e., increasing the gate resistance. Robustness of the AGVC is estimated under variations of dc-voltage supply and transistor switched current.  相似文献

This paper is focused on the estimation of the effect of root pass chemical composition, in multi-pass GTA Weldments, on microstructure and mechanical properties of duplex stainless steel welds. We used two different filler metals, the super duplex ER 2594 and duplex ER 2209. Microstructures of different passes of welded joints are investigated using optical microscope and scanning electron microscope. The relationship between mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, and microstructure of welded joints is evaluated. It is found that the tensile and toughness properties of the first weldment, employing the combination of ER 2594 in the root pass and ER 2209 in the remaining, are better than that of the second weldment employing ER 2209 all passes, due to the root pass grains refinement and its alloy elements content as chromium Cr and nitrogen N. The microstructure indicates the presence of austenite in different forms on the weld zone of ER 2209, same in the case of ER 2594, but with higher content and finer grains size, in particular Widmanstätten austenite WA. Potentiodynamic polarization tests of the first weld metal evaluated in 3.5% NaCl solution at room temperature have been demonstrated a corrosion resistance higher than that of the second weld metal. This work addressed the improvement of the corrosion resistance using appropriate filler metal without getting any structural heterogeneity and detrimental changes in the mechanical properties.  相似文献

Opuntia ficus indica fruits have been associated with health effects, due to their protective actions against oxidation. Nevertheless, few studies about processing of Opuntia fruits are available’; therefore, we studied the pulp characteristics and processing of a local variety, for producing beverage nectars. The pulp had an average pH of 5.64, 13.47 °Brix, with total sugars (106 g L?1), K (1180 mg L?1), 503.3 µg L?1 of β carotene, 120 mg L?1 of total phenolic compounds, 4.9 mg and 46.9 mg L?1 respectively for betacyanins and betaxanthins and 243.4 mg L?1 of vitamin C. The formulated nectars with 35% of pulp (N35) and 45% of pulp (N45) had respectively 14 and 15 °Brix. Minor components represent 1109 and 1112 mg L?1 of K for N35 and N45 respectively, β carotene (318.6 µg and 362.8 µg L?1), and vitamin C 227 and 231 mg L?1. We confirmed the stability and acceptability of these beverages after a month of storage, after stability and panel tests. Therefore, we suggest that the pulp processing can be used as a new form of agro industrial utilization of this underutilized fruit.  相似文献

This paper deals with the incorporation of glass cullet in cement-based materials. The aim is to help understand the differing behaviours observed depending on the particle size of the glass: the use of fine powders usually improves the concrete properties due to pozzolanic reaction, while coarse aggregates are generally detrimental for concrete due to alkali-silica reaction. It is shown that the lack of swelling of gels resulting from the reaction of glass fines can be partly due to the nature of these gels. The comparative investigation carried out on reaction products resulting from glass grains of various sizes, in the presence of both portlandite Ca(OH)2 and C3S (tricalcium silicate: 3CaO · SiO2), has shown that glass aggregates produce detrimental gels while glass fines produce gels that help to improve concrete properties.  相似文献

This work presents a 2-D electromagnetic field analysis of the single-sided linear induction motor (LIM), taking into account saturation in both primary and secondary cores. An analytical layer model has been developed in which the primary core is modeled by two different layers representing the yoke and teeth-slot regions. Such representation facilitates the evaluation of the magnetic state of the primary yoke and teeth separately. A generalized mathematical formulation of a multilayer model is presented. The analytical computation results from a seven-layer model correlate very well with experimental results obtained from an intermediate-capacity transit system LIM. Pulsewidth-modulated (PWM) voltage-source inverters are known to provoke high-frequency disturbances in motor-drive applications, particularly when long cables are used. Indeed, the parasitic elements of the cable, along with steep voltage transitions due to semiconductor switchings, are responsible for the conducted electromagnetic emissions and high overvoltages on the motor terminals. Therefore, several specific PWM schemes have been proposed in order to reduce these phenomena without requiring large passive filters. However, strategies that reduce common-mode currents (mainly conducted electromagnetic emissions) tend to increase the overvoltages generated on the motor. This paper focuses on a new PWM strategy that reduces the common-mode currents generated by three-level inverters. It provides a control algorithm that makes sure that the motor overvoltages never exceed those of conventional strategies while improving the electromagnetic-compatibility performance of the drive.  相似文献

We introduce a robust and relatively easy-to-use method to evaluate the quality of two-color (or more) fluorescence coincidence measurements based on close investigation of the coincidence correlation-matrix. This matrix contains temporal correlations between the number of detected bursts in individual channels and their coincidences. We show that the Euclidian norm of a vector Γ derived from elements of the correlation matrix takes a value between 0 and 2 depending on the relative coincidence frequency. We characterized the Γ-norm and its dependence on various experimental conditions by computer simulations and fluorescence microscopy experiments. Single-molecule experiments with two differently colored dye molecules diffusing freely in aqueous solution, a sample that generates purely random coincidence events, return a Γ-norm less than one, depending on the concentration of the fluorescent dyes. As perfect coincidence sample we monitored broad autofluorescence of 2.8 μm beads and determined the Γ-norm to be maximal and close to two. As in realistic diagnostic applications, we show that two-color coincidence detection of single-stranded DNA molecules, using differently labeled Molecular Beacons hybridizing to the same target, reveal a value between one and two representing a mixture of an optimal coincidence sample and a sample generating random coincidences. The Γ-norm introduced for data analysis provides a quantifiable measure for quickly judging the outcome of single-molecule coincidence experiments and estimating the quality of detected coincidences.  相似文献

Adjustable-speed drives involve common-mode voltages, which generate common-mode currents flowing to the ground through stray capacitances of electric machines. These currents are known to provoke premature motor-bearing failures, as well as electromagnetic interferences disturbing neighbor electronic devices. Furthermore, high-voltage applications involve high levels of these conducted emissions, which must be lowered by using bulky and expensive filters. This paper aims at elaborating a new pulsewidth-modulation (PWM) strategy in order to reduce the common-mode currents generated by three-level neutral-point-clamped inverters. The proposed strategy also provides the ability to balance the neutral point of the dc-bus capacitors. Experimental results both in time and frequency domains confirm that the new PWM improves the electromagnetic-compatibility behavior of the drive compared with conventional strategies.  相似文献
