For the first time in this study, Zinc oxide nanoparticles were biosynthesized by the eco-friendly and cost-effective procedure using Amygdalus scoparia stem bark extract then used as antibacterial, antifungal, anticancer, and anti-diabetic agents. The characterization techniques confirmed the biosynthesis, crystalline nature, structure, size, elemental composition of ZnO NPs and bioactive compounds that exist in A. scoparia extract accounting for Zn2+ ion reduction, capping and stabilization of ZnO NPs. The ZnO NPs displayed remarkable inhibitory activity against E. coli, E. aerigenes, S. aureus, P. oryzae, F. thapsinum, and F. semitectum compared to antibiotic standards. The ZnO NPs showed significant inhibitory effects on cancer cell lines, while it had no toxic effect on Vero normal cell line. The ZnO NPs (30 mg/kg)-treated diabetic rats showed significantly higher levels of insulin and lower AST, ALT and blood glucose compared with the STZ induced diabetic group and other treated groups (P < 0.05). The ZnO NPs- and extract-treated rats showed significantly higher levels of IR, GluT2, and GCK expression and lower TNFα expression compared with the STZ induced diabetic rats. Our findings showed that ZnO NPs represented an outstanding performance for biological applications. 相似文献
Considering the internet of things (IoT), end nodes such as wireless sensor network, RFID and embedded systems are used in many applications. These end nodes are known as resource-constrained devices in the IoT network. These devices have limitations such as computing and communication power, memory capacity and power. Key pre-distribution schemes (KPSs) have been introduced as a lightweight solution to key distribution in these devices. Key pre-distribution is a special type of key agreement that aims to select keys called session keys in order to establish secure communication between devices. One of these design types is the using of combinatorial designs in key pre-distribution, which is a deterministic scheme in key pre-distribution and has been considered in recent years. In this paper, by introducing a key pre-distribution scheme of this type, we stated that the model introduced in the two benchmarks of KPSs comparability had full connectivity and scalability among the designs introduced in recent years. Also, in recent years, among the combinatorial design-based key pre-distribution schemes, in order to increase resiliency as another criterion for comparing KPSs, attempts were made to include changes in combinatorial designs or they combine them with random key pre-distribution schemes and hybrid schemes were introduced that would significantly reduce the design connectivity. In this paper, using theoretical analysis and maintaining full connectivity, we showed that the strength of the proposed design was better than the similar designs while maintaining higher scalability.

Nanofluids have been known as practical materials to ameliorate heat transfer within diverse industrial systems. The current work presents an empirical study on forced convection effects of Al2O3–water nanofluid within an annulus tube. A laminar flow regime has been considered to perform the experiment in high Reynolds number range using several concentrations of nanofluid. Also, the boundary conditions include a constant uniform heat flux applied on the outer shell and an adiabatic condition to the inner tube. Nanofluid particle is visualized with transmission electron microscopy to figure out the nanofluid particles. Additionally, the pressure drop is obtained by measuring the inlet and outlet pressure with respect to the ambient condition. The experimental results showed that adding nanoparticles to the base fluid will increase the heat transfer coefficient (HTC) and average Nusselt number. In addition, by increasing viscosity effects at maximum Reynolds number of 1140 and increasing nanofluid concentration from 1% to 4% (maximum performance at 4%), HTC increases by 18%. 相似文献
Bias-temperature instabilities (BTI) of HfO/sub 2/ metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistors (MOSFETs) have been systematically studied for the first time. NMOS positive BTI (PBTI) exhibited a more significant V/sub t/ instability than that of PMOS negative BTI (NBTI), and limited the lifetime of HfO/sub 2/ MOSFETs. Although high-temperature forming gas annealing (HT-FGA) improved the interface quality by passivating the interfacial states with hydrogen, BTI behaviors were not strongly affected by the technique. Charge pumping measurements were extensively used to investigate the nature of the BTI degradation, and it was found that V/sub t/ degradation of NMOS PBTI was primarily caused by charge trapping in bulk HfO/sub 2/ rather than interfacial degradation. Deuterium (D/sub 2/) annealing was found to be an excellent technique to improve BTI immunity as well as to enhance the mobility of HfO/sub 2/ MOSFETs. 相似文献
The path probability method (PPM) of irreversible statistical mechanics has been successfully applied to various diffusion problems. The major advantage of this atomistic treatment over the phenomenological approach of irreversible thermodynamics is that all Onsager matrix coefficients can be derived analytically so that relations among measurable quantities can be clearly understood in terms of microscopic parameters. This review article attempts to present the PPM in the simplest possible form. The importance of the PPM as an atomistic technique is illustrated using a simple example. The applicability and limitations of the technique are also emphasized. 相似文献
BACKGROUND: The organ donor shortage has led to a reconsideration of the use of non-heart-beating donors (NHBDs). However, graft injury due to warm ischemia in NHBD livers strongly affects posttransplant outcome. The present study was aimed at investigating the role of the cellular cyclic (c)AMP second messenger signal with regard to hepatic viability after cold preservation of NHBD livers. METHODS: Cardiac arrest was induced in Wistar rats by frenotomy of the anesthetized nonheparinized animal. After 30 min, the livers were excised and flushed with 20 ml of heparinized saline solution, rinsed with 10 ml of University of Wisconsin (UW) solution, and stored submerged in UW solution at 4 degrees C for 24 hr. In half of the experiments, UW solution was supplemented with glucagon (0.5 microg/ml) to increase the cAMP signal in the liver. Reperfusion was carried out in vitro after all livers were incubated at 25 degrees C in saline solution to replicate the period of slow rewarming during surgical implantation in vivo. RESULTS: Hepatic levels of cAMP (nmol/g dry weight) declined from 1.21+/-0.05 to 0.53+/-0.03 (P<0.01) at 30 min after cardiac arrest. Subsequent storage in UW solution resulted in a further decline to 0.35+/-0.04 after 24 hr in group A, whereas glucagon treatment enhanced cellular cAMP signal to 0.64+/-0.06 (P<0.01). Upon reperfusion, liver integrity was significantly improved after glucagon administration, with 66% reduction in alanine aminotransferase release and a threefold increase in hepatic bile production as compared with untreated livers. Moreover, liver ATP tissue levels were restored to only 2.19+/-0.51 micromol/g in the untreated group but reached 4.97+/-0.41 micromol/g (P<0.05) after treatment with glucagon. CONCLUSIONS: Posthoc conditioning of predamaged livers by glucagon enhances cAMP tissue levels during ischemic preservation and improves hepatic integrity upon reperfusion. This may represent a promising approach for the use of livers from non-heart-beating donors in clinical transplantation. 相似文献
Congestion is one of the most important challenges in optical networks. In a Passive Optical Network (PON), the Optical Line Terminal (OLT) is a bottleneck and congestion prone. In this paper, a framework is proposed with Forward Error Correction (FEC) at the IP layer combined with Weighted Round Robin (WRR) at the scheduling level to overcome packet-loss due to congestion in the OLT in order to achieve efficient video multicasting over PON. In the FEC scheme, Reed-Solomon (RS(n,k)) with erasure coding is used, where (n−k) erroneous symbols per n symbol blocks can be corrected. In our framework, an Internet Protocol TeleVision (IPTV) service provider uses the mentioned RS coding and generates redundant packets from regular IPTV packets in such a way that an Optical Network Unit (ONU) can recover lost packets from received packets, thus resulting in a better video quality. Simulation results show that using the proposed framework, an ONU can recover many lost packets and achieve better video quality under different traffic loads for its users. For instance, the proposed method can reduce packet loss rate by almost 55% and 10% under traffic load 0.9, respectively, compared with the Round Robin (RR) and WRR methods under symmetric traffic load. When High Receivers Queue (HRQ) traffic (i.e., traffic received by many users) is twice Low Receivers Queue (LRQ) traffic (i.e., traffic received by a small number of users), this reduction is almost 86% and 30% under traffic load 0.9. Finally, when LRQ traffic is twice HRQ traffic, the reduction in packet loss rate is almost 70% and 91% at traffic load 0.5. 相似文献
