Abstract — This paper proposes a new process to manufacture cover glass that overcomes a strength trade‐off between the face and the edge. In the process, alkali barrier films are deposited on glass faces before an ion exchange process in order to control face stress properties without inhibiting the edge strengthening. As a demonstration of the process, alkali‐alumino‐silicate glass sheets with sputter‐deposited SiO2 films were chemically strengthened, and then their stress properties and strengths were investigated. As a result, thicker SiO2 films cause lower face DOL (depth of strengthened layer), and it is observed that the faces have lower DOL than the edges. In strength tests corresponding to major fracture modes of smartphone cover glass, specimens with 80–100 nm films have more balanced face performance and better edge impact strengths than the no‐film specimen.  相似文献

This paper deals with the improvement of the transmission characteristics of superconductive coaxial line (SCCX), and presents a quantitative relationship between the Fourier component of the dimensional irregularities in the raw material of SCCX, such as the thickness of the copper tape and the diameter of the insulator, and an abnormal increase of the transmission loss due to the periodic impedance irregularities. This paper also shows that even for the coaxial cable with very small attenuation constant (≈ 0.5 dB/km) and high operating frequency (up to several gigahertz), an approximate formula for loss peak due to the periodic impedance irregularities holds for the production length of cable. This is indicated by the comparison of an approximate formula with the result of digital computer simulation.  相似文献

The orientation of lamellar crystals in non-banded spherulites of it-polystyrene and it-poly(butene-1) was investigated by microbeam X-ray diffraction. The two-dimensional intensity map of diffraction enables us to examine the local orientation of lamellar crystallites in the non-banded spherulites. The obtained results indicated the re-orientation of crystallites in non-banded spherulites and confirmed our previous observation on the anisotropic birefringence of a group of crystal stacks by polarizing optical microscopy.  相似文献

Molecular weight dependence of growth and morphology of spherulites of isotactic poly(butene-1), iPB-1, and those of the mixtures with atactic poly(butene-1), aPB-1, were examined by atomic force microscopy (AFM) and polarizing optical microscopy (POM) in order to examine the mechanism of the structural evolution by the branching and re-orientation of lamellar crystals at the growth front. The width of lamellar crystals and the characteristic size of the inner structure of spherulites decreased with increasing molecular weight. The result suggests that the mobility of the melt determines the sizes in spherulites and supports the growth front instability induced by a gradient triggering the branching. The sizes in the mixtures also decreased with increasing weight-averaged molecular weight, Mw. The size dependence in low Mw region, however, was too strong and that in high Mw was too weak in comparison with the predicted dependence for the prepared Mw. It has been concluded that the peculiar behaviors should be discussed with effective Mw influenced by the occurrence of separation and exclusion of non-crystallizing aPB-1 at the growth front.  相似文献

Solute distribution in dendrites during solidification of carbon steel was analyzed by unidirectional solidification experiments and mathematical analysis. The characteristic of the mathematical analysis is that diffusion of solutes in solid and redistribution of solutes at solid/liquid andδ/γ interfaces are taken into consideration. Based on the observed and calculated results, it was found that phosphorus was redistributed fromγ-phase toδ-phase, and that manganese was slightly redistributed fromδ-phase toγ-phase. Therefore the concentrated region of phosphorus can be separated from that of manganese duringδ/γ transformation in the case of slow cooling. Moreover, it was concluded that rapid diffusion inδ-phase and the redistribution duringδ/γ transformation played an important role in the variation of the interdendritic concentrations of solutes with lower carbon concentration.  相似文献

To accommodate real-time multimedia application while satisfying application QoS requirements in a wireless ad-hoc network, we need QoS control mechanisms. In this paper, we propose a new routing mechanism to support real-time multimedia communication by efficiently utilize the limited wireless network capacity. Our mechanism considers a wireless ad-hoc network composed of nodes equipped with multiple network interfaces to each of which a different wireless channel can be assigned. By embedding information about channel usage in control messages of OLSRv2, each node obtains a view of topology and bandwidth information of the whole network. Based on the obtained information, a source node determines a logical path with the maximum available bandwidth to satisfy application QoS requirements. Through simulation experiments, we confirmed that our proposal effectively routed multimedia packets over a logical path avoiding congested links. As a result, the load on a network is well distributed and the network can accommodate more sessions than QOLSR. We also conducted practical experiments using wireless ad-hoc relay nodes with four network interfaces and verified the practicality of our proposal.  相似文献

The precipitation behavior of MnS after solidification was analyzed with low-carbon Fe−Si alloys. This system was chosen since it has a wide temperature range for the δ/γ transformation. Experimental results showed that the amount of MnS precipitates increased drastically between 1300°C and 1100°C, and MnS precipitates were segregated almost entirely in the δ phase. This result was interpreted quantitatively by a mathematical model, taking into account the diffusion and the redistribution of solute elements and also the solubility product limit of Mn and S in both phases. Mathematical analysis shows that the precipitation of MnS starts first in the γ phase, but its growth will be very limited because of slow diffusion of Mn in the γ phase. The effects of some factors such as cooling rate and Si content of alloys on the rate of precipitation were discussed, and the degree of contributions of diffusion of Mn and the redistribution of S were estimated.  相似文献

The signal distortion that is due to Fresnel reflection in open-loop fiber-optic gyroscopes was theoretically analyzed to determine the relationship between the reflection ratio and the scale factor error of the gyroscopes. The analysis showed that the in-phase component of each Fourier harmonic of the gyroscope signal deviates from the true sinusoidal function, a quadrature-phase component appears, and the pi/2 rotation rates of harmonic components disagree. We evaluated the degree of scale factor degradation by defining the harmonic distortion ratio, which can be used as a measure for the reflectional quality of the gyroscopic optical system. The theory was verified by the response of an experimental gyroscope. The Fresnel reflection was eliminated by optical and electrical means, and the signal distortion of the experimental gyroscope was suppressed.  相似文献

对采用玻璃纤维形成的不同长度粒料(3.00 mm的短纤维粒料1种,7.00、11.00、15.00 mm的长纤维粒料3种)所制备的4种玻璃纤维增强聚丙烯复合材料进行拉伸、弯曲、冲击试验,测量注塑成型后残留的玻璃纤维长度,采用X-ray CT扫描法观察复合材料内部的纤维排列,探讨不同长度玻璃纤维对复合材料力学性能的影响。结果表明:注塑成型后玻璃纤维断裂严重,4种粒料的玻璃纤维长度均下降50%以上。随着玻璃纤维的原始长度从1.50 mm增加到15.00 mm,残留纤维长度从0.68 mm增加到4.18 mm。在残留纤维长度从0.68 mm增加到3.02 mm范围内,复合材料的拉伸强度和弯曲强度明显提高;在残留纤维长度从3.02mm增加到4.18 mm范围内,复合材料的拉伸强度和弯曲强度保持稳定。复合材料的冲击强度随着玻璃纤维的原始长度增加而增加。以短纤维增强粒料制得的复合材料,虽然玻璃纤维的原始长度非常短,但纤维排列接近长度方向;以长纤维增强粒料制得的复合材料,其芯层有宽阔的纤维排列杂乱区,纤维取向趋向无序状态,且该现象随着玻璃纤维的原始长度增加而加剧,部分纤维发生相互缠绕。  相似文献

The formation mechanism of non-banded polymer spherulites has been examined experimentally for isotactic poly(butene-1) grown from the melt by optical, atomic force, and transmission electron microscopies associated with quenching and chemical etching. At the growth front of the spherulites, the maximum width of lamellar crystals, λm, showed a square-root dependence on the growth rate. The dependence suggests an instability-driven branching. In terms of the correlation of lamellar orientation in the spherulites, an auto-correlation function has been determined from the image taken by polarizing optical microscopy. The correlation showed an exponential decay along the radial direction, and the correlation length was in proportion to λm. Those experimental evidences suggest that the structure is formed by the coupling of the branching instability and the random re-orientation of lamellar crystals on the occasion of branching in the non-banded spherulites of poly(butene-1).  相似文献
