The electrical conduction was investigated in different rubber composites, subjected to various values of longitudinal extension. The study involves styrene-butadiene-rubber (SBR), butadiene-rubber (BR), acrylonitrile-butadiene-rubber (NBR), butyl-rubber (IIR), and natural rubber (NR). Each type was separately blended with 100 phr of fast extruding furnace black. The parameters of the model of Polley and Boonstra are recalculated for a specific example and good fitting is found.  相似文献

The response surface methodology has been performed based on the Muschelknautz method of modeling (MM) to optimize the cyclone geometrical ratios. Four geometrical factors have significant effects on the cyclone performance viz., the vortex finder diameter, the inlet width and inlet height, and the cyclone total height. There are strong interactions between the effect of inlet dimensions and vortex finder diameter on the cyclone performance. CFD simulations based on Reynolds stress model are also used in the investigation. A new set of geometrical ratios (design) has been obtained (optimized) to achieve minimum pressure drop. A comparison of numerical simulation of the new design and the Stairmand design confirms the superior performance of the new design compared to the Stairmand design.  相似文献

A degradation model is presented in this paper for the prediction of the residual life using an adapted Brownian motion-based approach with a drifting parameter. This model differs from other Brownian motion-based approaches in that the drifting parameter of the degradation process is adapted to the history of monitored information. This adaptation is performed by Kalman filtering. We also use a threshold distribution instead of the usual single threshold line which is sometime difficult to obtain in practice. We demonstrate the model using some examples and show that the model performs reasonably well and has a better prediction ability than the standard Brownian motion-based model. The model is then fitted to the data generated from a simulator using the expectation-maximization algorithm. We also fit a standard Brownian motion-based model to the same data to compare the difference and performance. The result shows that the adapted model performs better in terms of certain test statistics and the total mean square errors.  相似文献

Styrene butadiene rubber (SBR-1502) was mixed with 100 phr superreinforcing furnace (SRF) black. The obtained rubber vulcanizate was subjected to electrical conductivity measurements at different values of tensile deformation. The log V vs. log I graphs showed two distinct linear stages, the slope of which is nearly independent of the tensile deformation in the first stage and decreases with tensile deformation in the second stage. On the other hand, the tensile deformation was found to have an appreciable effect on the electrical conductivity. It decreases sharply as the sample is suddenly strained and then increases exponentially with time. An empirical formula describing this behavior is suggested.  相似文献

Thermal conductivities of silicate and borate glasses were determined at 30°C by steady-state methods. From the experimental data, factors representing the contribution of individual oxides (on a weight-percent basis) were calculated by the least-squares method. Heat transfer study of nanofluids as coolant in SCWRs core has been performed at Helwan University. A thermal hydraulic code has been produced to study the effect of TiO2 nanofluid water based as a coolant with comparison with pure water as a coolant. Various volume fractions of nanoparticles TiO2 (2, 6 and 10%) were used in order to investigate its effects on reactor thermalhydraulic characteristics. Based on Parameters of a SCW Canadian Deuterium Uranium nuclear reactor (CANDU), the fuel assembly was modeled to study the effect of nanoparticles volume fraction on thermos-physical properties of basic fluid and the temperature distribution of fuel, cladding surface and coolant in axial direction. The theoretical results showed that the density, viscosity and thermal conductivity of the coolant increases with the increase of nanoparticles volume fraction, contrasting to specific heat, which decreases with the increase in nanoparticles volume fraction.  相似文献

Mineralogical composition is one of the important factors that affect the performance of separation processes. In the current study, two oil shale samples, from El-Nakhil and El-Bieda localities, differ in their mineralogical composition, were subjected to flotation tests. Chemical analysis, differential thermal analysis (DTA), thermo-gravimetric analysis (TGA), and microscopic examination are among the used characterization techniques. In addition, their responses for upgrading by flotation were conducted as a function of pH, solid-liquid ratio, stirring speed and different particle sizes. The characterization results indicated that the kerogen content in El-Nakhil sample was 30% while in El-Beida sample was 10%. On the other hand, the flotation results indicated that El-Bieda responses better than that of El-Nakhil in terms of the difference in kerogen % between the original sample and the concentrated ones. The difference in flotation results of two samples can be explained by the difference in kerogen morphology as well as its interaction with surrounding matrix. In El-Bieda the kerogen has a laminated structure but in El-Nakhil it appears as laminated liptinitic component, in addition to the higher carbonate content in El-Nakhil sample in comparison to higher clay content in El-Bieda sample.  相似文献

The pressure drop is an important performance parameter to evaluate and design cyclone separators. In order to accurately predict the complex non linear relationships between pressure drop and geometrical dimensions, a radial basis neural network (RBFNN) is developed and employed to model the pressure drop for cyclone separators. The neural network has been trained and tested by experimental data available in literature. The result demonstrates that artificial neural networks can offer an alternative and powerful approach to model the cyclone pressure drop. Four mathematical models (Muschelknautz method “MM”, Stairmand, Ramachandran and Shepherd & Lapple) have been tested against the experimental values. The residual error (the difference between the experimental value and the model value) of the MM model is the lowest. The analysis indicates the significant effect of the vortex finder diameter Dx and the vortex finder length S, the inlet width b and the total height Ht. The response surface methodology has been used to fit a second order polynomial to the RBFNN. The second order polynomial has been used to get a new optimized cyclone for minimum pressure drop using the Nelder-Mead optimization technique. A comparison between the new design and the standard Stairmand design has been performed using CFD simulation. CFD results show that the new cyclone design is very close to the Stairmand high efficiency design in the geometrical parameter ratio, and superior for low pressure drop at nearly the same cut-off diameter. The new cyclone design results in nearly 75% of the pressure drop obtained by the old Stairmand design at the same volume flow rate.  相似文献
