This paper presents a new switching control scheme for braking resistors (BR) using fuzzy logic to enhance overall stability of electric power systems. In addition, the coordination with an SVC is also considered to achieve a wider stable region. The braking resistor is set on one of the generator busbars, where the real power output from the generator is measured to determine the firing-angle of the thyristor switch. The switching control scheme is simple so as not to require heavy computation on the microcomputer based switching controller. An SVC is set on one of the busbars in the system. The switching of the SVC uses a similar fuzzy logic control scheme to the one for the BR. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed fuzzy logic switching control scheme  相似文献

Mitotic index (MI), defined as the ratio (%) of the mitotic-phase-arrested cell number to the total cell number, is higher in the presence of colcemid than in its absence. MI is reduced by anti-tumor agents used in conjunction with colcemid. The ratio of MI, which is defined by the dose of colcemid to that of the supplement with etoposide as an anti-tumor agent and is designated MIR, was 10% at an exposure of 2 h, suggesting that etoposide blocks the cell cycle before 2 h of the mitotic phase. Thus, we established a convenient method to identify a target point in the cell cycle for anti-tumor agents using colcemid. RBL-2H3, a mammalian cell line, exhibited a large number of 2-fold swollen nuclear envelopes after exposure to etoposide. The G2-index, which is the ratio of the number of swollen nuclei to the total number of nuclei, was higher when the cells were incubated with etoposide than without it. In this study, we suggest that the measurement of the G2-index contributes to the screening of putative anti-tumor agents.  相似文献

A highly geometry‐selective organocatalytic acylation of tri‐ and tetra‐substituted 2‐alkylidene‐1,3‐propanediols has been developed. The highly E‐selective acylation of various tetrasubstituted 2‐alkylidene‐1,3‐propanediols was achieved in 96 to >99% selectivity for the first time by a non‐enzymatic protocol.  相似文献

Examination of left ventricular (LV) diastolic dysfunction in hypertensive patients has been based on parameters obtained from the transmitral flow velocity during pulsed Doppler echocardiography. However, these parameters are affected by loading conditions. We evaluated LV diastolic function along the longitudinal and transverse axes by pulsed tissue Doppler imaging (TDI) in 50 hypertensive (HT) patients and 36 age-matched healthy volunteers (N). Transmitral flow velocity was recorded by pulsed Doppler echocardiography. LV posterior wall motion velocity along the longitudinal and transverse axes also was recorded by pulsed TDI. In both groups, peak early diastolic velocity of the LV posterior wall (Ew) along the transverse axis (N: 15.8+/-5.2 cm/s, HT: 12.2+/-4.4 cm/s) was higher than that along the longitudinal axis (N: 12.7+/-3.1 cm/s, HT: 9.5+/-3.3 cm/s). Peak atrial systolic velocity of the LV posterior wall (Aw) along the longitudinal axis (N: 9.1+/-1.8 cm/s, HT: 9.7 +/-2.6 cm/s) significantly exceeded that along the transverse axis (N: 8.0+/-2.2 cm/s, HT: 8.4+/-2.4 cm/s) in both groups. The Ews were lower and the Aws were higher along both axes in the patient group than in the control group. The time intervals from the aortic component of the second heart sound to the peak of the early diastolic wave (IIA-Ews) along both the transverse (N: 142+/-18 ms, HT: 154+/-19 ms) and longitudinal (N: 151 16 ms, HT: 162+/-20 ms) axes were longer in the patient group. In 29 patients, Ews along both axes correlated negatively (transverse: r = -0.80, P < .0001; longitudinal: r = -0.71, P < .0001) and IIA-Ews correlated positively (transverse: r = 0.81, P < .0001; longitudinal: r = 0.74, P < .001) with the time constant of the LV pressure decay during isovolumic diastole. The Aws along both axes in the 24 patients without pseudonormalization in transmitral flow velocity correlated positively (transverse: r = 0.60, P < .001; longitudinal: r = 0.74, P < .0001) with the LV end-diastolic pressure. In conclusion, LV relaxation and filling along the longitudinal and transverse axes were impaired in many patients with hypertension. Pulsed TDI was useful for evaluating LV diastolic dynamics in this disease.  相似文献

Recent concerns about potential health risks associated with 3-chloro-1,2-propanediol fatty acid esters (3-MCPD esters) and glycidyl fatty acid esters (GEs) in refined vegetable oils and fats have led to development of various methods for quantitative determinations of these compounds. Among them, indirect methods, which determine total amount of 3-MCPD and glycidol after hydrolysis of the esters, have an advantage over direct methods, which require a reference standard for each of the many possible species of fatty acid esters to be quantified. The existing indirect methods, however, may yield unreliable results or require long hours of alkaline methanolysis. To overcome these shortcomings, the objective of this study was to develop a reliable and rapid indirect method for simultaneous determinations of 3-MCPD esters and GEs. By using Candida rugosa lipase and sodium bromide for a hydrolysis/bromination step, 3-MCPD esters and GEs were transformed within 30 min to 3-MCPD and 3-bromo-1,2-propanediol (3-MBPD), respectively, without interconversion. Gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS) analysis of 3-MCPD and 3-MBPD derivatized with phenylboronic acid showed 89–108 % recovery of 3-MCPD-diesters, -monoesters, and GEs from various oils and fats spiked at 2 and 20 mg/kg. The method should be useful for routine analysis of 3-MCPD esters and GEs.  相似文献

Because of the potential health risks, fatty acid esters of 3‐chloro‐1,2‐propanediol (3‐MCPD‐Es), 2‐chloro‐1,3‐propanediol (2‐MCPD‐Es) and glycidol (Gly‐Es) in foods are drawing the attention of public health authorities. To assess applicability of the rapid indirect method developed earlier by using a Candida rugosa lipase for the analyses of refined fats and oils was applied to the analyses of various foods. Mayonnaise, vegetable oil margarine and fat spread could be analyzed with the hydrolysis condition of 30 min at room temperature. Analyses of 3‐MCPD‐Es in margarines and fat spreads containing milk fat could be analyzed by increasing the hydrolysis temperature to 40 °C. The results in a mayonnaise, four fat spreads and five margarines analyzed by the enzymatic method were 0.10–0.98 mg/kg for 3‐MCPD, 0.05–0.41 mg/kg for 2‐MCPD and 0.15–0.59 mg/kg for Gly, and correlated well with the results obtained by AOCS Cd 29a with Cd 30–15 with slopes of 0.99–1.13, and R2s of 0.87–0.99. Further, by adding a simple fat extraction step using a solvent mix at 60 °C, foods high in protein and carbohydrate, such as infant formulas, could also be successfully analyzed with >90 % recovery in 1 day. Because the enzymatic method requires only 30 min for hydrolysis, the method is considered suitable for routine analyses of 2‐/3‐MCPD‐Es and Gly‐Es in foods.  相似文献

Thirty-four (41%) of 83 hepatitis C virus (HCV) isolates from commercial blood donors in Vietnam were not classifiable into genotype I/1a, II/1b, III/2a, IV/2b, or V/3a; for 15 of them, the sequence was determined for 1.6 kb in the 5'-terminal region and 1.1 kb in the 3'-terminal region. Comparison of the 15 Vietnamese isolates among themselves and with reported full or partial HCV genomic sequences indicated that they were classifiable into four major groups (groups 6-9) divided into six genotypes (6a, 7a, 7b, 8a, 8b, and 9a). Vietnamese HCV isolates of genotypes 7a, 7b, 8a, 8b, and 9a were significantly different from those classified into groups 4, 5, and 6 based on divergence within partial sequences; those of genotype 6a were homologous to a Hong Kong isolate (HK2) of genotype 6a. Phylogenetic trees based on the envelope 1 (E1) gene (576 bp) of 55 isolates and a part of the nonstructural 5 (NS5) region (1093 bp) of 43 isolates revealed at least nine major groups, three of which (groups 7, 8, and 9) were identified only in Vietnamese blood donors. With a prospect that many more HCV isolates with significant sequence divergence will be reported from all over the world, the domain of the HCV genome to be compared and criteria for grouping/typing and genotyping/subtyping will have to be determined, so that they may be correlated with virological, epidemiological, and clinical characteristics.  相似文献

In this study, ball grid arrays (BGAs) and chip size packages (CSPs) were evaluated with respect to their solder joint reliabilities under drop impacts. The correlation between solder joint stresses and motherboard strains was confirmed by numerical analysis, and the motherboard strains caused by the drop impacts were measured to evaluate the BGA/CSP reliability. The authors found that the stress at a solder joint differs depending on the package structure, even if the motherboard strain is the same, and that underfilling eases the motherboard strain and disperses the stress concentrated on a solder joint.  相似文献
