To help corporations survive amidst worldwide quality competition, the authors have focused on the strategic development of a higher-cycled product design CAE model employing a highly reliable CAE analysis technology component model. Their efforts are part of principle-based research aimed at evolving product design and CAE development processes to ensure better quality assurance. Marcha or murcha is a traditional amylolytic starter used to produce sweet-sour alcoholic drinks, commonly called jaanr in the Himalayan regions of India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibet (China). The aim of this study was to examine the microflora of marcha collected from Sikkim in India, focusing on yeast flora and their roles. Twenty yeast strains were isolated from six samples of marcha and identified by genetic and phenotypic methods. They were first classified into four groups (Group I, II, III, and IV) based on physiological features using an API test. Phylogenetic, morphological, and physiological characterization identified the isolates as Saccharomyces bayanus (Group I); Candida glabrata (Group II); Pichia anomala (Group III); and Saccharomycopsis fibuligera, Saccharomycopsis capsularis, and Pichia burtonii (Group IV). Among them, the Group I, II, and III strains produced ethanol. The isolates of Group IV had high amylolytic activity. Because all marcha samples tested contained both starch degraders and ethanol producers, it was hypothesized that all four groups of yeast (Group I, II, III, and IV) contribute to starch-based alcohol fermentation. 相似文献

Sodium ions spiked with 22Na as a tracer were migrated by electromigration and electro-osmosis in the water-saturated compacted Na-montmorillonite at dry densities 1.0×103 kg m−3, under an electric potential gradient. Dissolved helium was also migrated by electro-osmosis in the montmorillonite. After migration, concentration profiles of the sodium ions and helium were obtained by γ-spectrometry and mass-spectrometric methods, respectively. From the profiles of both chemical species, not only migration due to electrokinetic phenomena but also mechanical dispersion was observed in the montmorillonite. The dispersion coefficients, Di, and apparent migration rates, Uia, of 22Na and helium were found in the compacted Na-montmorillonite at 1.0×103 kg m−3. The migration of helium in the montmorillonite under an electric potential gradient reflects that of water because helium migrates as an electrically neutral species. The parameters DHem, UHea, and αHe correspond to those of water. The mechanical dispersion coefficients, DNam, of 22Na+ ions are much smaller than those of water obtained by helium. The dispersivity parameters, αNa, for 22Na+ obtained from these DNa and UNaa values are 10−5 m and those for water (αHe) are 10−3 m. This indicates that 22Na+ ions migrate in different spaces than water in the compacted montmorillonite under a potential gradient. This finding suggests that the migration of Na+ ions occurs in the interlayer and/or on the outer surfaces of the montmorillonite; whereas dissolved helium migrates in the pore water. 相似文献

The scattering and focusing characteristics of a Gaussian beam with phase distribution is studied by a stepped index Luneberg lens. A model experiment was performed using a six-layer spherical lens. Two kinds of beams, that is, broad and narrow beam are examined for the incident Gaussian beam. We find that focusing effect of a narrow beam is wholly lower than that of a broad beam. The focal point is also shifted toward outer of sphere because of phase lag for the beam source. The spot size equals almost the wavelength for the various beam parameters. 相似文献

Spatial transfer function for wide band wireless communication system is analyzed by using FDTD and DFT method. Ray-based method is not sufficiently accurate, when the size of objects on the propagating path is comparable to the wavelength. In our proposed method, the tranfser function can be obtained exactly by using the FDTD method. For the numerical examples, the transfer functions in an aperture of the waveguide are calculated by proposed procedure. Furthermore, experimental verification is made by using two-dimensional propagation system, which is constructed of copper plates, antennas and vector network analyzer. We report a case of sleep apnea syndrome (SAS) with nocturnal pulmonary hypertension (NPH) in a 71-year-old man suffering from dyspnea during sleep. Severe snoring at night and daytime sleepiness were noticed before admission by his wife. Nocturnal oxygen desaturation (NOD) was documented with a pulse oximeter and severe sleep apnea syndrome was diagnosed on the basis of results of respiratory inductive plethysmography, an apnea index (AI) > 20, minimum SpO2 56%. NPH was diagnosed by Swan-Ganz catheter. The levels of NPH were severe. Elevation of systolic pulmonary arterial pressure (PAP) above 40 mmHg was observed 137 episodes at night. Both NPH and NOD were improved by 1 L/min of nasal oxygen therapy. A number of episodes of systolic PAP above 40 mmHg with oxygen therapy was 55 episodes. Peak mean PAP was 36 mmHg in room air vs 33 mmHg in oxygen therapy. Minimum SpO2 with oxygen therapy was improved to 69%. Total time of SpO2 < 90% at night was 153 minutes in room air vs 37 minutes in oxygen therapy. In this case, NPH and NOD due to severe SAS were remarkably improved by oxygen therapy. 相似文献

Reaction of 9-(2,3,5-tri-O-acetyl-beta-D-ribofuranosyl)-7-methylguaninium iodide (2a) with hydrogen peroxide in acetic acid gave the corresponding 7-methyl-8-oxoguanosine derivative (3a) in good yield. Deprotection of 3a easily gave 7-methyl-8-oxoguanosine (1), which is well-known as an immunomodulator. When the radius of the cylinder is much larger than the wavelength, an approximate expression for the scattering of a Gaussian beam by a conducting cylinder is obtained by using Watson transformation. The beam fields in shadow region and illuminated region are, respectively, derived from residue theorem and stationary phase method. In order to check the theory, comparisons for scattering pattern and field variation in space were made.
