Structure Formation in Densely Sintered Household Ceramics

The formation specifics of the structure and phase composition of densely sintered ceramics based on a low-melting argillaceous material from Belarus together with a combined flux and a grog additive are investigated. The correlation between the physicochemical properties, structure, phase composition, and the time-temperature firing schedules of the developed materials are investigated. Electron probe microanalysis makes it possible to monitor variations in the chemical composition at various local sites and compare it with the estimated composition of the mixture. Glauconite Materials from Belarus and Their Application Prospects

An integrated study of glauconite-bearing rocks of the Republic of Belarus has been performed and their main application directions have been identified. Comparison of different methods to correct the matrix of geometrical angular radiation coefficients

Different methods for correcting the matrix of geometrical angular radiation coefficients deter-mined using approximate methods and therefore not satisfying the properties of closability and reciprocity are considered. It is revealed that, for a matrix with a large number of zero elements, neither the method of fixed consecutive correction nor the method based on using undetermined Lagrangian multipliers make it possible to obtain a physically plausible matrix with ideal abovementioned properties. The method of selective correction proposed in this study did not yield an acceptable result either. An acceptable error was obtained only with the help of a two-staged procedure, namely selective correction using the Lagrangian multiplier with the subsequent fixed correction of the matrix.
