Boundedness results for feedback interconnections of quasi-dissipative systems are presented. A classical result due to Hill and Moylan is generalized to the case of finite power gain stability of feedback interconnection of quasi-dissipative systems. It is also shown that under the assumption of strong finite-time detectability, such an interconnection has uniformly ultimately bounded trajectories for any uniformly bounded input.  相似文献

Immunoglobulin A (IgA) levels in milk samples from southern elephant seals at King George Island, Antarctica are reported. IgA levels were determined throughout the suckling period (approximately 23 days). The IgA concentration in southern elephant seal milk was lower than in other mammals and, unlike most mammalian milk, was not high during early lactation. There was not a definite pattern in IgA levels, which fluctuated within narrow limits throughout the suckling period (mean +/- SD, 30.81 +/- 6.38 mg IgA/100 g milk). If IgG was present, its level was too low to be detected by the method used. This is the first evidence in Southern elephant seal of the possibility of transmission of passive immunity after birth involving secretion of IgA in the milk.  相似文献

Multimodel analysis and controller design for nonlinear processes via gap metric is discussed. It is shown that the loop-shaping H approach can integrate the procedure of selecting operating points and the local controller design. The local controllers can guarantee not only stability but also performance specified by the pre- and/or post-compensators. Thus, at each operating points, local controllers can have similar performance, and the global performance of the system can be predicted.  相似文献

The electrochemical reduction of nitrobenzene has been studied in aqueous organic solvents containing sulphuric acid. It is shown that the yield ofp-aminophenol and the maximum current density for the reaction is dependent upon the solvent, the cathode metal, the electrode potential, the concentration of acid and the rate of stirring of the catholyte. The changes of products would not be obvious from theI-E curves but it is possible to find conditions where the yield ofp-aminophenol is > 75% at a current density of 150 mA cm–2.  相似文献

Alkali metal zeolites and metal oxides were used for the aldol condensation of n-butanal to 2-ethyl-2-hexenal. The order of activity at 150 °C and 1 atm. was: CsNaY > NaY > LiNaY > MgO >Al2O3. Selectivity to 2-ethyl-2-hexenal was 100% for both pure and mixed isomer feed. Infrared spectroscopic studies showed that stable catalysts were produced by propene pretreatments which blocked Lewis acid sites. Adsorption of ammonia and carbon dioxide on CsNaY during aldol condensation of n-butanal causes a decrease in rate. This result, along with the order of activity, suggests that the presence of both acid and basic sites produce higher activity than strongly basic MgO.Work performed at San Jose State University.  相似文献

Polymeric carbon nitride was synthesized from urea and doped with Cu and Fe to act as co-catalysts. The material doped with Fe was a new composite material composed of Fe(III) oxides (acting as a co-catalyst) wrapped by the polymer layers and amorphous carbon. Furthermore, the copper doped material was described in a previous report. The photocatalytic degradation of the azo dye direct blue 1 (DB) was studied using as photocatalysts: pure carbon nitride (CN), carbon nitride doped with Cu (CN-Cu) and carbon nitride doped with Fe (CN-Fe). The catalysts were characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller method (BET), etc. The adsorption phenomenon was studied using the Langmuir and Freundlich models. For the kinetic study, a solution of 500 mg L?1 of DB1 was treated with each catalyst, visible light and H2O2. The dye concentration was measured by spectrophotometry at the wavelength of 565 nm, and the removal of the total organic content (TOC) was quantified. BET analysis yielded surface areas of 60.029, 20.116 and 70.662 m2g?1 for CN, CN-Cu and CN-Fe, respectively. The kinetics of degradation were pseudo-first order, whose constants were 0.093, 0.039 and 0.110 min?1 for CN, CN-Cu and CN-Fe, respectively. The total organic carbon (TOC) removal reached the highest value of 14.46% with CN-Fe.  相似文献

In this paper, Bayesian network (BN) and ant colony optimization (ACO) techniques are combined in order to find the best path through a graph representing all available itineraries to acquire a professional competence. The combination of these methods allows us to design a dynamic learning path, useful in a rapidly changing world. One of the most important advances in this work, apart from the variable amount of pheromones, is the automatic processing of the learning graph. This processing is carried out by the learning management system and helps towards understanding the learning process as a competence-oriented itinerary instead of a stand-alone course. The amount of pheromones is calculated by taking into account the results acquired in the last completed course in relation to the minimum score required and by feeding this into the learning tree in order to obtain a relative impact on the path taken by the student. A BN is used to predict the probability of success, by taking historical data and student profiles into account. Usually, these profiles are defined beforehand; however, in our approach, some characteristics of these profiles, such as the level of knowledge, are classified automatically through supervised and/or unsupervised learning. By using ACO and BN, a fitness function, responsible for automatically selecting the next course in the learning graph, is defined. This is done by generating a path which maximizes the probability of each user??s success on the course. Therefore, the path can change in order to adapt itself to learners?? preferences and needs, by taking into account the pedagogical weight of each learning unit and the social behaviour of the system.  相似文献

This paper proposes a robust output feedback controller for a class of nonlinear systems to track a desired trajectory. Our main goal is to ensure the global input-to-state stability (ISS) property of the tracking error nonlinear dynamics with respect to the unknown structural system uncertainties and external disturbances. Our approach consists of constructing a nonlinear observer to reconstruct the unavailable states, and then designing a discontinuous controller using a back-stepping like design procedure to ensure the ISS property. The observer design is realized through state transformation and there is only one parameter to be determined. Through solving a Hamilton–Jacoby inequality, the nonlinear control law for the first subsystem specifies a nonlinear switching surface. By virtue of nonlinear control for the first subsystem, the resulting sliding manifold in the sliding phase possesses the desired ISS property and to certain extent the optimality. Associated with the new switching surface, the sliding mode control is applied to the second subsystem to accomplish the tracking task. As a result, the tracking error is bounded and the ISS property of the whole system can be ensured while the internal stability is also achieved. Hollow poly (vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP) + TiO2 and polypyrrole (core)/PVP (sheath) nanofibers were successfully electrospun using hydrodynamic fluid focusing. Utilizing a two-dimensional fluid focusing technique previously applied to aqueous solutions, intersecting microchannels cast in (poly)dimethylsiloxane were utilized to dynamically center core fluids in immiscible sheath fluids prior to electrospinning at the channel outlet. Advantages of using microfluidic channel networks for the electrospinning of composite nanofibers include spatiotemporal control over input reagents, ease of fabrication and the ability to focus the core stream into sheath layer without the need of complex co-annular nozzles.  相似文献
