This paper proposes a time-division multiple-access/time-division duplex (TDMA/TDD)-based symbol rate and modulation level-controlled adaptive modulation system for high-bit-rate data transmission. The proposed system controls both the symbol rate and modulation level for the next transmission time slot according to the estimated carrier power to noise spectral density ratio (C/N0) and delay spread for the time slot to achieve higher bit rate and higher transmission quality as well as higher delay-spread immunity. It is demonstrated by computer simulation and laboratory experiments that the proposed system can achieve a higher average bit rate with higher transmission quality in comparison with the fixed-rate quaternary phase-shift keying (QPSK) system and modulation level-controlled adaptive modulation system in both flat Rayleigh and frequency-selective fading environments. The simulated and experimental results also show that the proposed adaptive modulation techniques can be applied to 1-2-Mb/s indoor and outdoor microcellular systems with its delay spread of up to 250 ns and its terminal mobility of up to pedestrian speed without employing any special antifrequency-selective fading techniques, such as the adaptive equalizer and space diversity 相似文献

The authors propose an adaptive modulation with dynamic channel assignment (AMDCA) to achieve high capacity voice transmission in microcellular systems. The proposed system measures the received carrier-to-noise plus interference power ratio (C/(N+I)) of each time division multiple access (TDMA) slot to search for available slots and to discover the optimum modulation parameters for each slot, thereby effectively combining the buffeting effect of spatially distributed electric field strength by slow adaptive modulation, and that of spatially and temporally distributed traffic by dynamic channel assignment (DCA). This case report describes a case of carcinomatous peritonitis which showed a good response to the combination therapy of 5-FU, leucovorin and cisplatin. A 55-year-old man was admitted with complaints of meteorism due to ascites fluid. Ascitic examination showed a high concentration of CEA and CA19-9, and adenocarcinoma cells. Laboratory and radiological examination did not reveal the origin of the carcinoma, and laparotomy suggested an appendiceal origin. The combination chemotherapy with 5-FU, leucovorin and cisplatin was conducted for a total of 11 courses for 2 years with good QOL until his death. Hot dip fine Zn and Zn-Al alloy double coating for corrosion resistance at coastal area 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
A new hot dip Zn-7Al alloy coating was performed on a structural steel by double coating of fine Zn and Zn-7 wt.% Al alloy, to prevent severe corrosion in coastal area. The alloy-coated steels were exposed to seaside, quasi-industrial, and rural districts to compare with conventional Zn coating. Double coating was significantly effective in preventing corrosion, particularly in a seaside. It was estimated from the exposure test for 10 years that the life of the Zn-7Al alloy-coated steel would be almost four times that of the Zn-coated steel in the seaside. A bending test showed that no exfoliation occurred at the interface between the coated alloy and substrate steel. TEM observation revealed that the excellent adhesiveness of the doubly coated fine Zn and Zn-7Al alloy to the steel substrate was due to formation of the interface region consisting of heterogeneous fine phase mixture of zinc, aluminium and iron. 相似文献

Proposed is an adaptive multipath control technique to suppress interference radiation from a transmitter to the non-target receivers for broadband private wireless access systems. In the proposed scheme, deep and wide creation techniques are employed in the adaptive array antenna to effectively use a limited number of antenna degrees of freedom under rich scattering indoor channel conditions. Cachexia is a multifactorial syndrome characterized by muscle loss that cannot be reversed by conventional nutritional support. To uncover the molecular basis underlying the onset of cancer cachectic muscle wasting and establish an effective intervention against muscle loss, we used a cancer cachectic mouse model and examined the effects of aerobic exercise. Aerobic exercise successfully suppressed muscle atrophy and activated adiponectin signaling. Next, a cellular model for cancer cachectic muscle atrophy using C2C12 myotubes was prepared by treating myotubes with a conditioned medium from a culture of colon-26 cancer cells. Treatment of the atrophic myotubes with recombinant adiponectin was protective against the thinning of cells through the increased production of p-mTOR and suppression of LC3-II. Altogether, these findings suggest that the activation of adiponectin signaling could be part of the molecular mechanisms by which aerobic exercise ameliorates cancer cachexia-induced muscle wasting. 相似文献

Partially biobased polyamphiphile-bearing reactive epoxy groups in the side chains were obtained in 62–78 % yields by a radical copolymerization of limonene oxide (LO) and PEG methylacrylate (PEGA) with different feed ratios. Degree of LO incorporation into the copolymer was determined as 12–23 % by 1H NMR spectroscopic analysis. The copolymer having LO unit:PEGA unit = 19:81 formed polymer associates in water, particle diameter of which was ranged mainly from 4 to 66 nm and hydrodynamic mean diameter was 12.3 nm. Its critical micelle concentration was determined as 0.53 g/L by fluorescence spectroscopic analysis. A cross-linking reaction of the epoxy groups in the side chains was conducted with 3.97 mol% (to the epoxy group) of branched poly(ethylene imine) as a cross-linker to give the corresponding hydrogel in 56 % yield. The hydrogel can absorb water as much as 13 times its own mass. 相似文献
