Current–Voltage (I–V) characteristics have been studied at various temperatures in vacuum evaporated thin films of a-Se85Te15−x
Pb
x
(x = 0, 2, 4, 6) alloys. These characteristics show that, at low electric fields, an ohmic behaviour is observed. However, at
high electric fields (E ∼ 104 V/cm), the current becomes superohmic. At high fields, in case of samples having 0 and 2 at% of Pb, the experimental data
fits well with the theory of space charge limited conduction (SCLC) in case of uniform distribution of localized states in
the mobility gap. Such type of behaviour is not observed at higher concentration of Pb in the present glassy system due to
high conductivity. In these samples, joule heating due to large currents may prohibit the measurement of SCLC. Using the theory
of SCLC for the uniform distribution of the traps, the density of localized defect states near Fermi level is calculated for
these compositions. The results indicate that the density of defect states near Fermi level increases on addition of Pb to
binary Se85Te15alloy. This is explained in terms of electronegativity of Pb as compared to host elements. 相似文献

By combining the modified Stokes-Einstein formula with the authors’ model for the melting-point viscosity, the authors present
a model for accurate predictions of self-diffusivity of liquid metallic elements. The model is expressed in terms of well-known
physical quantities and has been applied to various liquid metallic elements for which experimental data are available. The
results of calculations show that agreement with experimental data is excellent; the uncertainties in the calculations of
the self-diffusivities in various liquid metallic elements are equal to the uncertainties associated with experimental measurements.
Also, the authors propose an expression for the temperature dependence of self-diffusivity in liquid metallic elements in
terms of melting-point temperature. Using the model, self-diffusivity data are predicted for liquid iron, cobalt, nickel,

The effect of ozone on Aspergillus niger causing black rot disease in onion was studied in culture. Ozone induced the spore germination in all treatments and few spores showed rapid swelling, resulting in the production of 2-3 germ tubes per spore compared to control. Although all the ozone treated spores germinated, all of them did not produce uniform colony morphology. Some colonies which developed from ozone treated spores failed to produce spores and such colonies appeared as grey patches of mycelia without spores amidst surrounding black sporulating colonies. Further work is in progress to study the mechanism involved in formation of sterile mycelia by ozone. 相似文献

Fracture assessment of pipe bends or elbows with postulated through wall crack is very essential for leak-before-break qualification of primary heat transport system piping of nuclear power plants. The methodology for fracture assessment of cracked elbows is still in developing stage. Any new development in theoretical aspect requires experimental validation. However, fracture test data on cracked elbows is not so abundant as straight pipes. The earlier experiments on cracked elbows were focused mainly on the determination of limit load. Other fracture parameters e.g. crack growth, crack initiation load or crack opening displacement were not reported in the open literature. Against this backdrop, a comprehensive experimental and theoretical program on component integrity has been initiated at Reactor Safety Division (RSD) of Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC), India. Under this program, a number of fracture tests have been carried out on elbows with through wall circumferential/axial cracks subjected to in-plane closing/opening bending moment. These test data are then thoroughly analysed numerically through non-linear finite element analyses, analytically through limit load comparison and also through comparison of crack initiation loads by finite element and R6 methods. These test data may be utilized in future for validation of new theoretical developments in the integrity assessment of through wall cracked elbows. 相似文献

Plastic collapse moment (PCM) equations of throughwall axially cracked (TAC) elbow subjected to in-plane closing/opening bending moment were previously proposed by the present authors. However, in actual situation, an elbow may often be subjected to combined internal pressure and bending moment loading. The present work investigates the effect of internal pressure on the in-plane plastic collapse moment of throughwall axially cracked elbows through 3-D elastic-plastic finite element analysis. Curcumin‐sensitized perovskite Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3 (BNT) was synthesized for visible light photocatalytic decolorization of rhodamine 6G (Rh6G). Cube‐shaped perovskite BNT was synthesized by solid‐state route, and curcumin sensitization was performed using hydrothermal method. The surface sensitization of curcumin was analyzed by UV–Vis absorption spectra and FTIR. The degradation kinetics of Rh6G over Cur‐BNT were investigated and discussed through first‐order Langmuir–Hinshelwood kinetic model. The effect of catalyst dose on photocatalytic decolorization process was investigated. Photocatalysis was performed with different scavengers to investigate the role of active hole and radical species and photocatalytic degradation mechanism of Rh6G. 相似文献
