Eighteen compositions of MoO3-Te at 800 °C and seven of each of MoO3-Cd (at 500 °C) and MoO3-Sb (at 600 °C) were heat treated in vacuum-sealed quartz ampules. The phases of the heat-treated compositions were analyzed using x-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns. The interactions in the three systems are summarized. Three phases in equilibrium are (1) in the MnO3-Te system at 800 °C, Te, Mo4O11, TeMo4O13—(0<xMoO 3<0 889) and MoO3, Mo4O11, TeMo4O13—(0.889<xMoO 3<1); (2) in the MoO3_Cd system at 500 °C, Cd, MoO2, CdMoO4—(0<xMoO 3<0.6667) and MoO3, MoO2, CdMoO4—(0.6667<xMoO 3<1); and (3) in the MoO3-Sb system at 600 °C, Sb, MoO2, Sb4Mo10O31—(0<xMoO 3<0.734) and MoO3+MoO2+Sb4Mo10O31 (0.734<xMoO 3<1). The results lead to construction of ternary phase diagrams: Te-MoO3-TeMo4O13, Cd-MoO3-CdMoO4, and Sb-MoO3-Sb4Mo10O31.  相似文献

The strain dependence of the dynamic mechanical properties of HAF-N330-filled EPDM vulcanizate was studied using a Rheovibron DDV III EP. It is shown that when a dynamic strain is superposed on a static strain, the viscoelastic response of filled rubbers becomes more complex. Under these conditions, dynamic mechanical properties do not correlate with the double strain amplitude. A strain called the “total strain” has been defined in order to interpret the experimental results. It is also shown that the dynamic mechanical properties are displacement velocity dependent, while the comparison is made under identical conditions of strain and frequency. Separability of time and strain effects is observed for the storage modulus, whereas the loss modulus is shown to be a nonseparable function. The elastic and the relaxation components, constituting the mixed function representing the storage modulus are shown to have similar deformation dependence. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Specific conductivities and viscosities of lithium perchlorate at four different concentrations (0.5, 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 M) in ethylene carbonate (EC) based binary mixed solvent systems at 25°C are reported. The co-solvents chosen were tetrahydrofuran (THF), 1,2-dimethoxyethane (DME) and 1,3-dioxolane (DOL). Viscosity variations in all the three mixed solvent systems without electrolyte showed negative deviation from ideal behaviour thereby indicating the occurrence of a structure breaking effect in these three different binary systems. The increase in viscosity with increase in concentration of LiClO4 is attributed to the structural enhancement through the formation of a solvated complex which occupies interstitials in the solvent mixtures. 1 M LiClO4 solution shows maximum specific conductivity at 30 vol % EC for EC + DME and EC + DOL mixtures and at 50 vol % EC for EC + THF mixtures. Conductivity variations are explained on the basis of preferential solvation of lithium perchlorate by co-solvents (THF, DME and DOL) in their respective mixtures with ethylene carbonate.  相似文献

Energy-Aware Tag Anticollision Protocols for RFID Systems   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Energy consumption of portable RFID readers is becoming an important issue as applications of RFID systems pervade many aspects of our lives. Surprisingly, however, these systems are not energy-aware with the focus till date being on reducing the time to read all tags by the reader. In this work, we consider the problem of tag arbitration in RFID systems with the aim of designing energy-aware anticollision protocols. We explore the effectiveness of using multiple time slots per node of a binary search tree through three anticollision protocols. We further develop an analytical framework to predict the performance of our protocols and enable protocol parameter selection. We demonstrate that all three protocols provide significant energy savings both at the reader and tags (if they are active tags) compared to the existing Query Tree protocol, while sharing the deterministic property of the latter. Further, we show that our protocols provide similar benefits even with correlated tag IDs.  相似文献

The objective of this work is to correctly detect and recognize faces in an image collection using a database of known faces. This has applications in photo-tagging, video indexing, surveillance and recognition in wearable computers. We propose a two-stage approach for both detection and recognition tasks. In the first stage, we generate a seed set from the given image collection using off-the-shelf face detection and recognition algorithms. In the second stage, the obtained seed set is used to improve the performance of these algorithms by adapting them to the domain at hand. We propose an exemplar-based semi-supervised framework for improving the detections. For recognition of images, we use sparse representation classifier and generate seed images based on a confidence measure. The labels of the seed set are then propagated to other faces using label propagation framework by imposing appropriate constraints. Unlike traditional approaches, our approach exploits the similarities among the faces in collection to obtain improved performance. We conduct extensive experiments on two real-world photo-album and video collections. Our approach consistently provides an improvement of \({\sim } 4\)% for detection and \(5{-}9\)% for recognition on all these datasets.  相似文献

Antibodies to quinolinic acid were produced in rabbits with protein-conjugated and gold particle-adsorbed quinolinic acid. Quinolinic acid immunoreactivity was below detection limits in carbodiimide-fixed rat brain. In contrast, strong quinolinic acid immunoreactivity was observed in spleen cells with variable, complex morphology located predominantly in the periarterial lymphocyte sheaths. In the thymus, quinolinic acid immunoreactivity was observed in cells with variable morphology, located almost exclusively in the medulla. Lymph nodes and gut-associated lymphoid tissue contained many, strongly stained cells of similar complex morphology in perifollicular areas. Immunoreactivity in liver and lung was restricted to widely scattered, perivascular cells and alveolar cells respectively. Additional stained cells with complex morphology were observed in bronchus-associated lymphoid tissue, in skin, and in the lamina propria of intestinal villi. Follicles in all secondary lymphoid organs were diffusely stained, ranging from mildly to moderately immunoreactive in spleen, to intensely immunoreactive in gut-associated lymphoid tissue. These results suggest that quinolinic acid is an immune system-specific molecule. Two hypothetical schemes are proposed to account for high levels of quinolinic acid in specific cells of the immune system.  相似文献

Regeneration of the activity of three-way catalytic converters (TWCs) was tested for the first time using a biodegradable metal chelating agent (S, S-ethylenediamine disuccinic acid (S, S-EDDS). The efficiency of this novel environmentally friendly solvent in removing various contaminants such as P, Zn, Pb, Cu and S from commercial aged three-way catalysts, and improving their catalytic performance towards CO and NO pollutants removal has been investigated. Four samples of catalysts from the front and rear inlets of two different TWCs with different mileages and aged under completely different driving conditions were investigated. The catalysts were characterized using various techniques, such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) surface area measurements (N(2) adsorption at 77 K). Quantitative ICP-MS analyses and SEM-EDS studies show the removal of Zn, P and Pb. SEM-EDS images obtained at low magnification (50 μm) showed considerable differences in the surface morphology and composition after washing with S, S-EDDS. However, XRD studies indicated neither little to no removal of major contaminant compound phases nor major structural changes due to washing. Correspondingly, little or no enhancement in BET surface area was observed between the used and washed samples. Light-off curves show that the regeneration procedure employed can effectively improve the catalytic performance towards NO pollutant.  相似文献

Experimental tumors of the central nervous system were investigated with antibodies to quinolinate to assess the cellular distribution of this endogenous neurotoxin. In advanced F98 and RG-2 glioblastomas and E367 neuroblastomas in the striatum of rats, variable numbers of quinolinate immunoreactive cells were observed in and around the tumors, with the majority being present within tumors, rather than brain parenchyma. The stained cells were morphologically variable, including round, complex, rod-shaped, and sparsely dendritic cells. Neuroblastoma and glioma cells were unstained, as were neurons, astrocytes, oligodendrocytes, ependymal cells, endothelial cells, and cells of the choroid plexus and leptomeninges. Glial fibrillary acidic protein immunoreactivity was strongly elevated in astrocytes surrounding the tumors. Dual labeling immunohistochemistry with antibodies to quinolinate and glial fibrillary acidic protein demonstrated that astrocytes and the cells containing quinolinate immunoreactivity were morphologically disparate and preferentially distributed external and internal to the tumors, respectively, and no dual labeled cells were observed. Lectin histochemistry with Griffonia simplicifolia B4 isolectin and Lycopersicon esculentum lectin demonstrated numerous phagocytic macrophages and reactive microglia in and around the tumors whose distribution was similar to that of quinolinate immunoreactive cells, albeit much more numerous. Dual labeling studies with antibodies to quinolinate and the lectins demonstrated partial codistribution of these markers, with most double-labeled cells having the morphology of phagocytes. The present findings suggest the possibility that quinolinate may serve a functional role in a select population of inflammatory cell infiltrates during the immune response to brain neoplasms.  相似文献
