A scalable single-chip 422P@ML MPEG-2 video, audio, and system encoder LSI for portable 422P@HL system is described. The encoder LSI is implemented using 0.13-μm embedded DRAM technology. It integrates 3-M logic gates and 64-Mb DRAM in an area of 99-mm2. The power consumption is suppressed to 0.7 W by adopting a low-power DRAM core. It performs real-time 422P@ML video encoding, audio encoding, and system encoding with no external DRAM. Furthermore, the encoder LSI realizes a 422P@HL video encoder with multichip configuration, due to its scalable architecture. BACKGROUND: An anomalous junction of the pancreaticobiliary duct (AJPBD) was thought to be an important risk factor for gallbladder carcinoma in Japan. In this report, we compared K-ras and p53 mutations in Stage I gallbladder carcinomas (GC) of patients with AJPBD with those in patients without AJPBD: METHODS: We examined 6 GC of patients with AJPBD and 20 GC of patients without AJPBD: Immunohistochemistry was performed for p53 protein. K-ras and p53 mutations were examined using genomic DNA extracted from the cancer regions. The methods of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) single strand conformation polymorphism analysis were performed for mutations in exons 5-8 of p53. The methods of PCR restriction fragment length polymorphism were performed for mutation in codon 12 of K-ras. RESULTS: p53 positivity was 67% in GC of patients with AJPBD and 65% in GC of patients without AJPBD: p53 mutations were found in exons 7 and 8 in GC of patients with AJPBD and in exons 5, 6, and 7 in GC of patients without AJPBD: The incidence of K-ras mutation in GC of patients with AJPBD (50%) was greater than that in patients without AJPBD (6%) (P < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: These results suggest that K-ras mutation may be important in the early stage of carcinogenesis of the gallbladder mucosa with AJPBD, and that p53 mutations may also contribute to the early stage of carcinogenesis of the gallbladder mucosa, regardless of AJPBD:  相似文献

This paper describes a 32-Mb embedded DRAM macro fabricated using 0.13-μm triple-well 4-level Cu embedded DRAM technology, which is suitable for portable equipment of MPEG applications. This macro can operate 230-MHz random column access even at 1.0-V power supply condition. The peak power consumption is suppressed to 198 mW in burst operation. The power-down standby mode, which suppresses the leakage current consumption of peripheral circuitry, is also prepared for portable equipment. With the collaboration of array circuit design and the fine Cu metallization technology, macro size of 18.9 mm2 and cell efficiency of 51.3% are realized even with dual interface and triple test functions implemented  相似文献

This paper describes DRAM array driving techniques and the parameter scaling techniques for low voltage operation using the boosted sense ground (BSG) scheme and further improved methods. Temperature compensation and adjustable internal voltage levels maintain a small subthreshold leakage current for a memory cell transistor (MC-Tr), and a distributed BSG (DBSG) scheme and a column decoded sensing (CDS) scheme achieve the effective scaling. These schemes can set the DRAM array free from the leakage current problem and the influence of temperature variations. Therefore, parameters for the MC-Tr, threshold voltage (V th), and the boosted voltage for the gate bias can be scaled down, and it is possible to determine the Vth of the MC-Tr simply (0.45 V at K=0.4) for the satisfaction of the small leakage current, for high speed and stable operation, and for high reliability (VPP is below 2 VCC). We treated a patient with keratitis caused by Mycobacterium chelonei (M. chelonei). The patient was a 74-year-old man who had been successfully treated for stromal type herpetic keratitis with topical steroids. The corneal lesions appeared chalky white with indistinct margins and had radial projections in deep level stroma. M. chelonei was found in second corneal scrapings. Topical tobramycin that had sensitivity resolved the keratitis rapidly. M. chelonei keratitis has been reported in only 25 cases so far and this case is the first report in Japan. M. chelonei keratitis occurred mostly in eyes which had been subjected to trauma, surgery, and the use of topical steroids. If these characteristic corneal findings appear in such predisposed eyes, M. chelonei keratitis should be considered.  相似文献

An array architecture with countermeasures for the smaller signal charge caused by scaling down is proposed. Based on a new access model, the combination of a hierarchical data bus configuration and multipurpose register (MPR) provides high-speed array access. The MPR also includes practical array-embedded error checking and correcting (ECC) with little area penalty and no access overhead in the page mode. In developing the 256-Mb DRAM, the data retention characteristics must inevitably be improved. In order for DRAM's to remain the semiconductor device with the largest production volume in the 256-Mb era, we must develop a cost effective device with a small chip size and a large process tolerance. In this paper, we propose the BSG (boosted sense-ground) scheme for data retention and FOGOS (folded global and open segment bit-line) structure for chip size reduction. We have fabricated an experimental 256-Mb DRAM with these technologies and obtained a chip size of 304 mm2 and a performance of 34 ns access time  相似文献

In order to elucidate the broadband noise of fan,the numerical simulation of fan operating at two different rotational speeds is carried out using the three-dimensional unsteady Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (URANS) equations.The computed results are compared to experiment to estimate its accuracy and are found to show good agreement with experiment.A method is proposed to evaluate the turbulent kinetic energy in the framework of the Spalart-Allmaras one equation turbulence model.From the calculation results,the turbulent kinetic energy is visualized as the turbulence of the flow which leads to generate the broadband noise,and its noise sources are identified.  相似文献

In the field of photonics, alkali copper(I) halides attract considerable attention as lead-free emitters. The intrinsic quantum confinement effects originating from low-dimensional electronic structure lead to high photoluminescence quantum yields (PLQYs). Among them, Cs3Cu2I5 is the most promising candidate, satisfying both high PLQY and air stability. In this study, a strategy to explore a new material meeting these requirements through the use of the mixed-anions of I and Cl is proposed. The expectation is maintained that the large difference in ionic radii between them likely results in the formation of a novel compound. Consequently, Cs5Cu3Cl6I2 with a 1D zigzag chain structure is discovered. This material exhibits blue emission (≈462 nm) with a near-unity quantum yield of 95%. An electronic structure calculation reveals that the localized nature of the valence band maximum is crucial in obtaining efficient self-trapped exciton emission. Moreover, the iodine-bridged 1D connectivity significantly enhances the chemical stability of Cs5Cu3Cl6I2, compared with the pure chloride phase. The present findings provide a new perspective for developing air-stable alkali copper(I) halides with highly efficient luminescence.  相似文献
