We investigated the expression and changes in the intracellular localization of a 72-kDa heat shock protein (HSP72) in rat gastric pyloric and fundic mucosa before and after water-immersion stress. Severe mucosal damage was found in the fundic mucosal area of the stomach after this stress. However, no mucosal lesion developed in the pyloric mucosal area. HSP72 in both the soluble and insoluble fractions of the pyloric and the fundic mucosal areas was significantly increased after water-immersion stress, peaking 6h after the initiation of the stress. The increase in HSP72 was more significant in the pyloric mucosal area than in the fundic mucosal area under both normal and stress conditions. The increase of HSP72 in the pyloric mucosal cells occurred prior to the formation of the mucosal lesions, whereas the increase of HSP72 in the fundic mucosal cells was observed after ulcer formation. An immunohistochemical study showed that HSP72 was constitutively expressed in the cytoplasm of the gastric mucosal cells, and that the intranuclear induction of HSP72 was remarkably intense in the pyloric mucosal cells, especially in the proliferative zone, compared with the fundic mucosal cells. Our results may suggest that HSP72 has an important cytoprotective function in gastric mucosal cells and that there is a "biophysical" difference between pyloric and the fundic mucosal cells.  相似文献

This paper presents a 950-MHz wireless power transmission system and a high-sensitivity rectifier circuit for ubiquitous sensor network tags. The wireless power transmission offers a battery-life-free sensor tag by recharging the output power of a base station into a secondary battery implemented with the tag. For realizing the system, a high-sensitivity rectifier with dynamic gate-drain biasing has been developed in a 0.3-/spl mu/m CMOS process. The measurement results show that the proposed rectifier can recharge a 1.2-V secondary battery over -14-dBm input RF power at a power conversion efficiency of 1.2%. In the proposed wireless system, this sensitivity corresponds to 10-m distance communication at 4-W output power from a base station.  相似文献

Two‐pole large generators are extensively used in power utilities. Growing demand for electric power in recent years has led to substantial increases in the capacity of generators. In line with this trend, our company has manufactured two‐pole turbine generators in the 900,000‐kVA to 1,200,000‐kVA classes. As the capacity of generators becomes larger, equivalent circuits are increasingly expected to improve their precision in estimating operation characteristics. The Park model has been widely used as an equivalent circuit model. The Park model with quadrature axis transient reactance $x_{q}^{\prime}$ is claimed to be useful for accurately estimating the load rejection characteristics of turbine generators. However, it is difficult to measure $x_{q}^{\prime}$, few studies based on measured data have appeared. As one of the few examples, we have conducted a measured data on a 500,000‐kVA‐class generator. Recently, the authors obtained test data on $x_{q}^{\prime}$ of a 900,000‐kVA‐class generator. In this study, based on these data, we studied the effect of $x_{q}^{\prime}$ using the finite element method and a transient analysis program (EMTP‐ATP). © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We describe cystic lymphangiomatosis with intestinal bleeding developing multiple lymphangiomas in the small intestine, mesentery, mesocolon, omentum, retroperitoneum, and spleen. Small intestinal fluorography showed multiple polypoid lesions, mainly in the jejunum. Ultrasonography, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging showed diffuse cystic tumors in the mesentery and spleen. Cystic lymphangiomatosis was proved by histologic findings of the biopsied specimen at laparotomy.  相似文献

A prototype Stirling cycle refrigerator employing helium as a working fluid was investigated to determine whether a freon‐free machine was a viable alternative for the current household refrigerator. A displacer‐type or β‐type Stirling cycle machine of 100‐W capacity was designed and tested using varying design parameters such as dead volume ratio, working fluids, the ratio of the compression volume to the expansion volume, and the phase difference between a power piston and displacer. The detrimental effect of the dead space on the refrigeration capacity was confirmed. The refrigeration produced by nitrogen in an expansion space was 28% less than that produced by helium. The optimum volume ratio and the phase difference for maximum refrigeration was determined under the design operation conditions. Moreover, the refrigeration correlation formula as a function of these parameters was obtained. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The [Tyr5,12,Lys7]-polyphemusin II peptide (T22) inhibits HIV-1 replication in lymphocytes. The mechanism of T22 inhibition of HIV-1 replication may involve T22 competition with HIV-1 for attachment sites on the plasma membrane of targeted cells. Here we find that the T22 peptide binds to the CD4 molecule in affinity columns. We also find that antiserum to CD4 inhibits cell attachment to T22. Further CD4+ transfected cells attach to T22 while their parental cells which do not express CD4 do not attach to T22. These data demonstrate that T22 binds to the CD4 molecule and supports the hypothesis that T22 inhibits HIV-1 replication by binding to the cell surface CD4 molecule and inhibiting uptake of the virus.  相似文献

A third-order intermodulation (IM/sub 3/) cancellation technique using a submixer is proposed for a low-power low-distortion mixer. The IM/sub 3/ cancellation is achieved by summing IM/sub 3/ generated in a main mixer and the submixer, which are almost the same amplitude and opposite phase. The mixer was designed to operate at 870 MHz. The proposed technique reduces IM/sub 3/ by 18 dB with a current increase of about 15% and is suitable for low-power applications. The mixer achieved an input-referred third-order intercept point (IIP/sub 3/) of 10 dBm, a gain of 8.7 dB, and an NF of 9.8 dB and dissipates 30 mW from 2.9 V. The IC is fabricated in a SiGe bipolar transistor with f/sub T/= 30 GHz. The IC occupies 1.44 mm/spl times/1.44 mm.  相似文献

A 4-dB step 28-dB variable attenuator for 1.9 GHz personal handy-phone system (PHS) transmitter was fabricated using silicon bipolar technology with fT of 15 GHz. Step accuracy within 1.2 dB and total vector modulation error of less than 4% are realized for -15 dBm output.
