Quantum-dot cellular automaton (QCA) is an emergent technology that is not hindered by quantum effects that limit the scaling of CMOS technology, but instead employs them to perform computation. However, this brings its own impediments, such as the influence of the thermodynamic effects. Beside that, QCA has to be coupled with CMOS circuitry of different size features to enable clocking. We discussed all these facts and devised a floorplan which would facilitate manufacturability. Based on it we developed the process of QCA layout design and defined the design rules that must be considered in order to ensure correct operation. These instructions enable the automatization of designing a QCA circuit layout.  相似文献

This paper presents a complete digitally controlled dc–dc buck converter performed by FPGA circuitry. All tasks, analog to digital conversion, control algorithm and pulse width modulation, were implemented in the FPGA. This approach enables high-speed dynamic response and programmability by the controller, without external passive components. In addition, the controller’s structure can be easily changed without external components. The applied algorithm enables a switching frequency of 100 kHz.  相似文献

Transparent exopolymer particles (TEP) are generated during transformation processes within the non-living organic matter continuum in the seawater. Seasonal dynamics of TEP along the Po River Delta-Rovinj transect was followed during the 3-year period, using a spectrophotometric method of determination of TEP. Relationships between TEP and phytoplankton biomass (chlorophyll a), abundance and composition, as well as phaeophytin, were analysed. Microphytoplankton spring blooms are confirmed to be an important source of TEP, with some species more related to TEP concentration dynamics, such as Chaetoceros sp. and Skeletonema costatum. Notable spatial west to east gradient of autotrophic biomass and consequently of TEP was observed, as well as gradual decrease with depth. In addition, TEP concentration increments were observed up to 2 months before the mucilage events followed by the decrease of TEP concentration during the event itself. Pattern of TEP dynamics in the years with mucilage events was the most pronounced in 2002, when the event was spatially and temporally the most extended.  相似文献

This paper proposes the application of the Single Univalve Segment Assimilating Nucleus (SUSAN) algorithm for the reduction of coding artifacts in wavelet video-coding schemes. The SUSAN filter is as an image-structure preserving non-linear filter with low computational complexity. The filter adapts its bandwidth and stop-band attenuation based on a simple pixel classification procedure. In addition to this initial proposition, the paper provides two extensions of the original 2-D filter to the temporal domain: a two-stage 2-D+T SUSAN filter and a pure 3-D SUSAN filter. Experimental results provided in the paper provide substantial evidence of the effectiveness of the proposed approaches in terms suppression of artifacts that are typical in wavelet coding. Comparative tests show that SUSAN and its proposed extensions outperform state-of-the-art post-processing algorithms both in terms of objective (PSNR) and perceptual (PQS) quality comparisons.  相似文献

The present study deals with the numerical analysis of the water droplet evaporation in the carrier gas inside an ultrasonic spray pyrolysis (USP) device. Droplet evaporation is studied through numerical computational fluid dynamics simulation using Ansys Fluent version 16.1 software. The governing equations for mass, momentum, and energy contain source terms for the effects of droplet evaporation. The results are provided as time dependent evaporation rate, temperature and diameter of droplet. Additional experimental evaporation of HAuCl4 solution droplets with temperatures of 80, 100 and 120°C was performed on a USP device. The obtained dried particles of gold chloride were characterized with TEM and analysed for their size and shapes to determine the effect of evaporation rate on the dried particle morphology. This provides insight into selecting optimal parameters for gold nanoparticle synthesis with HAuCl4 in USP, for targeted sizes and shapes of the nanoparticles.  相似文献

A fuzzy logic-based design of control for a unique thermal process in the food industry is presented. Products of the thermal process are pasteurized soft-boiled eggs. The function of temperature vs. time is unique in its shape and in its required precision, since the constraints of pasteurization and cooking of soft-boiled eggs are technically contradictory. Both processes can coexist only in a quite narrow temperature range, which is a nonlinear function of egg processing time. Precision in temperature control is essential. The thermal process is implemented in an apparatus that presents a novelty on the market of industrial kitchen appliances.A precondition for the present work was simulation of thermal energy propagation in hens' eggs of different sizes and ages. A function of temperature vs. time for the media in which eggs are immersed was defined. The function is piecewise linear in time, with horizontal and near vertical sections and abrupt transitions between them.The process is patented and the quality of pasteurization is certified by the corresponding institutes. The result is pasteurized soft-boiled eggs for consumption in hospitals, schools and hotels. The presented fuzzy control implementation of the thermal process meets the requirements, and thus the implication is that the design and implementation of temperature control based on fuzzy logic is suitable for processes where precision is required.  相似文献

We report on a spectroscopic study of surface plasmon damping and group velocity in polycrystalline silver and gold nanowires. By comparing to single-crystalline wires and by using different substrates, we quantitatively deduce the relative damping contributions due to metal crystallinity and absorption in the substrate. Compared to absorbing substrates, we find strongly reduced plasmonic damping for polycrystalline nanowires on quartz substrates, enabling the application of such wires for plasmonic waveguide networks.  相似文献
